I find it very helpful after a declutter to hang all the hangers backwards, hooks facing out. Then when i wear an item and launder then i hang it up normally. It is an excellent way to see what I'm not wearing and what can be donated at the end of the season or set time frame. Hope that idea is helpful. Great job working together to help mom with this task.
I just love your channel! My mom is getting to the point where she is really wanting to start decluttering her wardrobe and home. I love decluttering and so I am excited to help her out. I love how all you sisters love your mom and are so kind and patient with her. What a wonderful thing to do for your sweet mother. She is adorable!!!! Btw, I am from Washington State.
Awwww…thank you so much! I hope you and your mother can have fun decluttering her closet and other things like we have! Thanks so much for watching from Washington!
Lovely to see you girls helping your mum. I had a huge declutter and then put together whole oufits with their accessories and costume jewellery in a little gauze bag on the hanger. Now every day all I need to do is ro take one hanger out with it's complete outfit for spring summer autumn winter and special occassion. Much easier to store the out of season clothes away, much less stressful and I look well presented every day. I donated so much and feel happy another person will benefit as well as each of the different charities I donated to. Even better I know what I have and just needed to purchase a couple of items to complete two outfits. A weight off my shoulders. I plan to replace items as they wear out but stick to having a prepared oufit for each day.
This warmed my heart , to see you girls lovingly helping your mom on what seemed an undaunting task. It made me miss my mom. Your mom is beautiful and has such a thankful heart. I need to go through many areas including my closet of years of putting on and taking off the same 15 pounds. I must have every style for the past few yrs. Yall be blessed and hug that sweet momma real big.
And YOUR comments warmed my heart! ♥️ Thanks so much! We will give her a big hug for sure 🤗 and hold on tight to all the wonderful memories of your mom. Let us know how your decluttering goes!
I am only a few years younger than your mom. Seven years ago I moved from a 2100 SQ. Feet house to a 675 Sq. Feet house. Before moving, I got rid of 90% of my possessions, including hundreds of pieces of clothes, kitchen supplies, tools, arts/crafts, photos, papers, nicknacks, shoes, books, records/tapes/DVD's/CD's, and memorabilia. What's left fit in my new, tiny one bedroom house, with room to spare. I only have 25 items in my closet, plus enough "unmentionables" and PJ's to last me two weeks, in a small dresser and a night stand. It took me one night to pack everything I own after my massive decluttering. Downsizing , or as the Swedish call it, "Death Cleaning", is the key to a healthy aging. There is really no need to keep anything for 35 years. I now only keep what I bought in the last five years; everything else is either trashed or donated. I feel so free!
WOW! 🤩 That is amazing! Thanks so much for sharing! It IS a freeing feeling to let go of unnecessary things - and I can only imagine how much MORE freeing it feels for you!!! How long did it take you to do this? I’m sure everyone would like to know!
I really enjoyed this video. Your mom did an amazing job and is so delightful and she’s right, you are very good at this. Can’t wait for part two to come out.!
I'm on my own road to simplicity, and truly enjoy watching you gals! It's great to see family coming together to help one another. You're all incredibly blessed to have each other. Alice, be sure to star in more videos--you're a sweetheart!
It is so much fun and less a chore to do with family than by yourself. Wow, what a difference. Love you, Mom! Great job and sister Angie is a good support guide and de-clutter Queen!
Enjoyed the video! Alice is so beautiful; please tell her I said so ☺️. Enjoyed watching you all sort through the clothing. Thanks for sharing! Blessings from WV!
It certainly can be - but also seeing everything all together like that helps a person (or me, anyway) get a full understanding/feeling of just how much stuff we have. In this case, it was too much to do all at once - which is why we split it into 2 days.
Nothing like a loving family working together
It’s easy to help the ones you love so much!
I adore the four of you sitting on the bed together. Heart-warming. What a special family project.
Thanks so much! We are blessed beyond belief ❤️❤️❤️
Just love how you are all so close to your mom.....I hope my girls will treat me this well when I'm her age!
We love her more than words can say! Thank so much for watching.
What a lovely video. Your love for your mother was obvious. She did a great job making hard decisions.
Thank you. Yes, we love her more that I could ever say! She is enjoying her new closet!
