The ICC has badly messed up the seating at the New York stadium and made fans like me angry. My friends and I bought the premium tickets for the Sri Lanka vs South Africa game and for the India vs Ireland game at the ICC auction which showed premium ticket holders would be seated closer to the ground compared to the standard ticket holders. When the tickets were issued later we were surprised to see that our premium seats were much farther out compared to the standard ticket seats. It looks like ICC did a "bait and switch" and made premium ticket holders like me very angry and unhappy. At a minimum ICC should have communicated this change of seating and give the customer a refund if they did not like the new premium seating arrangement. BBC should investigate this issue and bring it to ICC's attention. ICC needs to issue a refund to premium ticket holders like us for the price difference. We will continue to push to get this resolved.

It's a good start that has been long overdue to have an International Cricket series being played in New York, USA. Glad that I was able to be part of this historic event and be able to witness the play between the Team Sri Lanka vs Team South Africa on Monday 3, 2024 live at the Nassau International Cricket Stadium. The ICC T20 event in USA has helped to popularize the sport among many Americans who have never watched a game of Cricket before the ICC T20 games that are happening in America and also that Team USA won matches during this tournament in USA also will give the sport in America..

  • @Tazza81

T20 Cricket is the perfect sport for America. 2.5-3 hours per game. Plenty of natural breaks in the game for advertising and a lot more entertaining than baseball. Amazed it hasn't taken off before now.

There is serious baseball talent in America terms of hitting power, fielding skills and pitching speed. There are guys that can hit 80-90 mph pitching speeds in club baseball. They are impossible to hit.
Working with the MLB to get players on loan would be a fantastic step.

What a joke 🤣🤣 Baseball players Hit only Full Toss Balls.. Hitting Full Toss Balls are Easy and Hitting a Swing, Seam, Spin is way Different and Difficult.. Other thing is Baseball players Catch a Ball with a glove which is easy while Cricket players catch with Bare Hands (excluding WK) and there is no such thing as reading Pitch in a Baseball match, while in Cricket PITCH plays plays an important role and only a Technical, Smart and Talented batter can play in every type of Pitch..

It's a bit different from pitching. In baseball you throw the ball but in cricket you have to do it with a straight arm. It might look a bit similar but overall there are a variety of technicalities that make both the games like fire and ice

@@Dawood.Pervez Thanks for statement that is backed by nothing. You do not quote source nor gave any sort of stat. The only reason Cricket maybe considered more popular is because it is played by India, which has a billion people. There are only 12 testing play country that play cricket. But you look at how many countries play basketball, there are 212 national federations and it an olympic sport.

  • @Gustaf1965

The US-Pakistan got my son and I (Americans with no cricket experience) intrigued so we drove 18 hours to Florida for US-Ireland. Despite a 5 hours window of glorious sun between rain, there seemed to be zero interest in actually playing cricket. Three hours after the scheduled start it started raining again and the match was cancelled. To an American who is used to baseball games restarting minutes after the rain stops, this was frustrating. They had us hooked. All they had to do was actually play cricket. If that is how cricket values its fans (and curious Americans) screw it. There are plenty of sports to follow that play when the sun shines.

New York is not the "Home of International Cricket". Watch your words before you speak. Lords in London is the Home of Cricket. Any big organisation wants to create their own definition now. The first match might have happened their but New York is nowhere near the glory that cities like London, Melbourne, Mumbai , Kolkata, Sydney, Auckland have brought to this game.
    Great Video though. Enjoyed it.
