Even though the devs were (and possibly still are) fans of the MLP:FiM show, Them's Fightin' Herds is not a pony game. They have the same character designer as MLP's (Lauren Faust), but the game rocks the Z-Engine (Skullgirl's engine), has solid netcode, is a whole lot of fun, and you can spend hours, or days, in the lab trying to make combos a martial art of its own! (Seriously, you have 4 buttons to make combos with, and you can develop a fighting style of your own for each character and make it work!)
That's wild i had no idea about the designer real talk.
If I were to pick a favorite thing of this game... It'd be the community.
Usually that's the thing you hate in a game, but here? Pretty sure I witnessed a troll give up because people were too kind and understanding a week or two ago.
They'll also teach new players how to play if they ask (or just clearly have no idea wtf they're doing), as if the tutorial weren't already amazing!
