I’m with you. I wish they wouldn’t raise their prices so soon. I use to buy more when it was $1.00. At 1.25, I don’t buy as much. I am going to comparison shop and may opt to shop elsewhere if it isn’t worth the increase.

I wish Dollar Tree would have just stayed with the $1.25 as well. I have found Walmart can be cheaper and Target dollar spot has cute things too!
YES !!! I just said the same thing ! You can find the same foods at Walmart for,cheaper or better value at Walmart
I agree with you on the prices. And customer will be so confused and unless everything is stickered no way people will know prices. And yes people will stop going. It’s such a shame

I agree with others. I'm more selective and definitely buy less since the increase. Not as much fun as it used to be and I will probably be even more selective and shop other stores as prices increase.

😮 yeah honestly if DT keeps jacking up the prices, I'll frequent even less than I already do. They'll be just another big chain with crappie prices cuz ur right Jenny, wally world, target and even dollar general is already eating them up on prices of same products but much cheaper. Greed will bury em!

Hi Jenny, So glad you are doing better, you look great. Our dt's have there clothes to 5.00 and 3or more pair of socks 5.00. I can never find half the stuff all the haulers show and I go to 3 different ones. So sad how the prices are going up, they will lose so many customers .Take care and God Bless you and your Family. Hi Jenny! I 100% agree with you about the price increases. It’s just ridiculous. I miss the days when everything was just a dollar. The $1.25 increase has been challenging. Some people may say it’s not so bad, but to me it is. It’s not as much fun shopping at Dollar Tree anymore. I buy craft and household cleaning items from there. If the prices continue to go up then I will just have to go elsewhere. The point of shopping at Dollar Tree was to save money. They are going to lose a lot of customers if they continue on this sad trend. Anyway, thanks for sharing an enjoyable video! 😀💗👍🏾

I agree with you on the pricing. When our store opened with the new prices & stuff , the store was well organized & clean & now it's reminds me of Dollar General. It looks like they just throw stuff in there & hard to find. It's one of my favorite stores but now I don't enjoy going in there that much anymore!
I so hope i find the food erasers, that would be so cute in my preschool classroom dramatic play area.
I am so excited to get the grab bags for my treasure box for my work kids. The glasses jars are nice.

I rarely go to the DT since they changed there prices. If they start charging $6 for items I’ll probably not buy anything I can find the same or better quality items elsewhere. Sucks they had to change, they might as well change their name to The Tree since it’s all more than a dollar 😂
You could say the same thing with other stores that have dollar in the name. When Dollar General first came around, I was thinking it was going to be like Dollar Tree, but I was wrong. Not everything is a dollar in there. Another store that's similar is Family Dollar.
Thanks for showing the bathroom squeegees. My family recently got our bathtub/shower redone & I need to get a squeegee to clean the shower walls & doors.

You're right, they can't keep going up. Things are cheaper else where. It's going to backfire on them. The economy is just getting worse & families are having to go where their dollar stretches best. Thanks Jenny for sharing! Love seeing your finds and ideas. I wish they wouldn’t keep going up on prices. I liked having a few premium items that were $3 or $5 but throughout the store will make similar to several other stores.
What I have found living in three states is Family Dollar and Dollar General are always a mess. I hate shopping there because the stores always look dirty. Dollar Tree stores are always neat and seem to be very clean and picked up. This has been the case for me in CT, SC, and IL.

I heard a while back that they were going to lower around 400 items back down to $1.00. that's never happened at my store, but as you have said I'm seeing things going up . Reading glasses, balloons went to $1.50 and bags of ice went to$2.00 , then pop to $1.75 . I'm not liking the prices going up but I'm still going to shop there until it would be better for my budget to shop elsewhere.
I haven't seen ice at DT in years.

Nice haul. I have not found the erasers or the solar lights yet. As for the prices going up, not happy, but they are going to do it anyway, whether we like it or not. I read on the news last week that in California they are increasing the minimum wage to $16.00 an hour. Here in PA, it just went to $11.00 hr in January. Any way they are saying that in order to pay their employees, (ex. Mc Donalds) they need to raise the prices, so increasing someone's salary does not help if the price of items keep increasing as well. I know for a fact that where I live DT pays their employees $9.00 hr and a little further outside the city they get paid $11.00 mostly part-time employees and no benefits and they don't even give them shirts anymore. I used to shop at Walmart all the time but even their prices have gone up. No getting around it. Glad your hand is doing better and happy that you are diying again.

I too was once homeless. I never did drugs, though I did try to drink booze. Not my thing. Worked hard and got a place of my own. I am not rich, and I'm now older than dirt. I live alone, my 2 children live here too but we share the expenses and they live their own lives while I live mine. They are of a different religion than I am, they have their own friends and I have mine. We are all of us adults, living separately, but in the same place. Love it.

Hi Jenny, I agree that this is going to ruin DT. I’ve been doing more shopping at Dollar General. I also thought it was a bad idea to stop having craft items in the Plus section. Temu has many of the same DT items for less than $1.25.
💚 your sweater is my favorite color & shade of Green 💚 - those bee 🐝 solar lights are so cute! I hate to hear the price change, I knew it would happen after it changed to the $1.25 price. The DG still has their $1 aisle. GOD Bless from beautiful Alabama 😊

Hi Jenny, I went to 2 Dollar tree stores today and i found out that their name will be changing to Dollar Tree and More starting on march 1st, so that means they will have more expensive items to sell. I hope they wont go under since they will be expanding their merchandise and the stores, with the price increase i hope they wont do away with the greeting cards which still sell for 2 for a dollar, They still have the best prices in cards, except for walmart. I would hate the idea of having to buy cards at higher prices then The Dollar Tree.🤪🤪

You will have to be selective in what you buy, I already am and usually compare sizes and quantity to make sure I am getting a
the best value for my money. As far as the GM cereal is concerned even at 1.50 for a box it is still less than half the price you would pay at a grocery store. The soda prices are ridiculous everywhere, another good reason to stop drinking soda. As for the Dollar Plus section I seldom but anything from it. Sometimes with the seasonal I may buy it after they mark it down. I still find that for the most part Dollar Tree is still a great place to shop especially for some of the craft supplies that you can't even find anywhere else. I am certain for the most part after they raised the price to 1.25 the quality improved and there were a lot more items in the store that I hadn't seen before.
I feel the same way you do, when they raise the prices on their items I think some people are going to stop going there for certain things. I know once the prices go up there will be things I will no longer purchase from there. I can find brand name cereal cheaper when it is on sale at my local grocery store and Grocery Outlet. Dollar General and Walmart are cheaper on some items also. I also feel like it is turning into a Dollar General or Family Dollar. I went into the Family Dollar once when they opened near me and never went into it again. I hardly ever go into Target anymore either, they lost a lot of people including me.

The tulip garland you showed would make a cute curtain tie back. I am not happy about their prices going up. I can't buy much as it is with my small disability check, but was able to make things stretch before the price increase.

The Dollar Tree is slowly getting to the point where I can find things cheaper elsewhere. I agree that people will stop going there. Some of their $5 items are
$3.25 at other places. It’s too confusing with so many different prices. If they don’t tag each item you may not know how much something is until they ring it up. Sad!!
The last time I went to the DT, they had put in a price check machine.

I'm 45& was OBSESSED w/ Pinwheel! I never had Nickleodeon, but watched@ a friends. In fact, we purposely missed the bus one day to watch Pinwheel. 😄 My grandma would get a free wkend or maybe even a full wk of Nickleodeon back in the mid-80's& I watched it there sometimes. But yes, I loved it! Some characters were pretty creepy...Ebenezer, the Gypsy& that stoned lookin' mole that lived in a dark tree or something. Needs to be available somewhere. I've not seen it anywhere, but maybe it is(?).🤔

I happened to stop in a location corporate was changing over yesterday. They always claim it’s to carry better quality items , like they said at 1.25, but I haven’t seen that. I don’t like it and Biglits, Popshelf, and others sell comparable items for $1

The prices for shipping has gone up everywhere! Since we have no Walmarts in New York City, I will continue to shop at dollar tree.

Omg, Jenny! I saw those yard stakes on someone else’s haul and thought the same thing. My parents didn’t have cable until I was 9-10. So, I would watch Pinwheel and Today’s Special at my great grandparents. After we got cable, I would watch it at home. I love Pinwheel more than Today’s Special, but I think it was on right after Pinwheel.
Hey jen great haul as always. Love those bugs and the baskets we have not gotten in any of the things you hauled. I feel the same as you about the DT um family dollar still has alot of there stuff that you could find at the DT for a dollar im going to start going there instead there was a whole readon why there was a DT now its disapearing and im ging to stop going its sucks so im with ya!! Maybe we woman should firm a picket line state to state lol.
