- Published on Feb 14, 2026
- It's the start of the new year and we are BACK with some more swimming action as the FIRST Pro Swim Series meet of 2026 is about to kick off. We have a lot of familiar faces that JUST raced in this exact same pool a little over a month ago during the US Open so we'll see how they are progressing and we have some new additions to the mix as well. We have 34 events with some of swimming's top stars in attendance so let's look at each and every event on the psyche sheet and preview what match ups we can look forward to.

This guy knows ball, love these swim stat videos
SWIM SCRIBE UPLOADED🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Drop a comment to boost the algorithm. This man deserves way more subs
What do the hashtags beside some of the times mean?
I believe it has something to do with the swimmer’s USA Swimming registration, either that it’s expired or about to expire
Caeleb dressel comeback journey begins
les go scriby new vid (I still dont know ur name btw😛)
His name is David, I just found out today😂
Bowman said after 25 worlds I think that Marchands weak stroke wasn’t backstroke anymore it was freestyle his backstroke has gotten much better
That actually tracks, I’ve felt his backstroke and freestyle are on similar levels for a little while now. That’s why I often say backstroke is “considered” his weakest because that’s been the general consensus for a while but it’s hard to directly compare. If Bon thinks freestyle is now his weakest it makes sense that he’s been doing more freestyle races lately.
@TheSwimScribeYeah it should be interesting to see how he does in the 200 back
Thanks for the video! Although I dont agree on Leon 4th strongest stroke, I think its been freestyle for the past 2 years. Even Bowman confirmed that I think. And when you compare him to Kos he's pretty close...
Stupid algorithm taking 5 hours for this to pop on my feed
I noticed that hubert kos was missing in here, do you know what is up with him? I am maybe a little worried about where he is and how he feels given that he is one of my favorite swimmers in history and i did not find any news about that, or it is that he is just scratching the meet at all?
No need to worry about him, he’s officially back with the Texas college team (he wasn’t competing in the NCAA in the fall) and none of the college swimmers are at this meet only the pros. They have the Eddie Reese showdown coming up in like a week and it’s assumed they’re taking this meet off before having to compete there.
@TheSwimScribeooohhh okay, thank you man
200 IM US Open record goes down I think
I was gonna ask men's or women's then I realized that either answer is a possibility
After watching day 1 finals you should change the title to "How SLOW will the 15 swimmers at the Austin Slow Swim Series go?". Loved watching 1 swimmer in the womens 100 BR B final swim at a glacier pace and simultaneously being unable to follow the meet because of random events having semifinal jumpscares.
So far some of the top end speed has looked sharp and hopefully more good things are on the horizon in the next couple of days. Overall I think the Pro Swim Series is a MASSIVE missed opportunity to make an exciting event for fans though. Even in meets with more entries there are still issues, if you're going to have B finals put them at the end of the session like the C finals, and semifinals are a little pointless. It remains a series that is only really useful for us swim nerds to watch and gauge what shape our favorites are in right now, but I think there is so much potential to actually grow a bigger viewer base.
@TheSwimScribe Agreed but also I think the focus should be on removing semifinals from worlds and the olympics and replacing that air time with swimmer interviews/storylines like they do in Formula 1. No one is going to follow swimming if the people doing it are nameless and faceless. Swimming has a branding issue and no amount of event order etc is going to fix that.
