I remember seeing the Muhammad Hassan attack on the Undertaker segment on a Saturday. As a 15 year old I was GLUED to the tv. I never really seen anything to THAT extent happening in the WWE. To say I was speechless and amazed at the same time is a understatement. DAMN that Muhammad Hassan character was brilliant
Sorry that this comment is 2 years late, but ... just wanna add in that as a casual fan, even I remembered Hassan character so well. Hassan spoke of the hypocrisy in society so well, it's like reading what my US friends were going through. Think Jinder later took that same route, but for India. Anyway, always glad to read that a wrestler is doing well after their career in the squared circle ...
Muhammad Hassan was always a babyface in my eyes, his motivations and his promos really told the truth about how a lot of people were in America at the time and instead of talking down to them he was talking about how they were putting him down using real life examples and situations. The most criminal thing to do was to take him off TV, he was going to go far in the WWE had the timing not been so coincidental
Muhammad Hassan! Man, the last time we had heard of him was during on of CVV’s interviews. Rene, you and Hassan were the greatest heels portrayed on TV. Would love to see you guys in AEW or even WWE again. Good times of great characters and great conversation. 👌 Always waiting in the UAE to watch Rene and James.
I loved when good ol' JR got choked 🤣 with the belt looked so real my older sister who would always point out wrestlings take as hell even had to pause and go wait.... Is this real
Muhammad Hassan is among one of my top 3 favorite wrestlers, along side Rene Dupree, and Kurt angle! I wish I got to meet the man back when I was a hardcore wrestling fan! I loved him OVW as the model Marc Magnus! Such a great man, and I’m glad to hear him speak out on his journey! Really wish I got to meet him!
Great episode! Mark is such an intelligent and nice guy- so frustrating that he couldn't go further in the WWE. Also gotta love Rene's pop for the recliner lol
I bet he hears it more from the parents. Those kids weren't born yet during his run. They can obviously look it up but it's not like they remember watching him.
I love that you guys are getting guys from the ruthless aggression era that have just never gotten their due. Would love to hear from Carlito or more of those 06 ECW guys at some point?
The world's not a better place it's worse. Cancel culture is the worst, everyone is so damn sensitive. If I was a wrestler, I'd do the Hassan character idc. Wish he'd return for one night only. If he returned at the rumble smh man.
Wrestlers safety should be a priority. I am sure even up to this day Vince McMahon doesn't quite get it. The world we are living in these days has all sorts of extremism that can easily lead to violence. It would be too dangerous for wrestlers to do these kind of gimmicks.
Ohhh that should be Mark's gimmick if he ever returns to the business........ The Professional Principal Copani Give the character an old school promo tag line like " Well you will find out this Sunday...... There's no running in my halls! " Edit - I posted this before mark said his weekly schedule. That busy busy man is never coming back lol
In WWE, everybody who who represents a different county or culture is a bad guy, not a great portrayal of USA, Hassan, Rusev, Dupree, even neighbors Canada is a bad guy
Great Heel character victim of bad timing
Same as Rene
Same Me!

Great guests so far from Rodney mack to rvd and now hassan. 👏 Rene got along with mostly everyone

@@xLatinAssazzin no shit, smart ass.
Great episode guys it is nice to see that he is doing well post-WWE and hasn't faced any adversity for portraying the Hassan character
One of the best wrestlers of ruthless aggression
I remember has a young teen playing svr06 on the ps2 and always giving you and Hashsen big heel pushes on Smackdown. Awesome interview
Love this episode! One of the biggest "What ifs" in the WWE.
I loved when good ol' JR got choked 🤣 with the belt looked so real my older sister who would always point out wrestlings take as hell even had to pause and go wait.... Is this real
Wow he became a Junior High school Principal that's great! He looks great ❤️
The best guest so far! Well done Rene! You two deserve at least one more match (aew).

Love the stories from former WWE stars, keep up the great work!👌
One of the best heel in Wrestling history in short time.
Great episode! Mark is such an intelligent and nice guy- so frustrating that he couldn't go further in the WWE. Also gotta love Rene's pop for the recliner lol
Thank you so much for this ☺️
Principal Hassan!
Do the kids at school remind him about Muhammad Hassan and do they play his entrance music?
I bet he hears it more from the parents. Those kids weren't born yet during his run. They can obviously look it up but it's not like they remember watching him.
Love the podcasts, Rene. I remember the Hassan character well, and enjoyed it.

James has really nice eyes : ) Great interview guys , thank you
OVW stories are always a fun listen
I really liked the segment from wrestlemania... hassan and hogan....
It’s really crazy how the locker room has changed
Even to this day where I can I use duprees entrance theme it rocks lol
Good job James and Rene.
You got Hassan ??? W podcast🔥🔥
Enjoyed this
Loved the stories
Best heel of all time. Shame it ended how it did
The Muhammad Hassan gimmick had so many layers & so much potential!
Yeah the world is too wussy today. Mohammad Hassan was an awesome heel.
He could've been jinder before he was even a main eventer in 2017 lol he was way before his time i guess

Was awesome
Cool.
33:32 I feel like at that time wwe locker rooms were very toxic
Muhammed Hassan was my favorite young wrestler at the time. It's a shame what the did to that character

He scared the crap out of me as a kid
Dang they were gonna have Batista lose his title before Cena
Who is strongest wrestler you faced
If i order the manscaped pack does it deliver to UK?
Yeah 👍🏻
heat magnet
Should interview Khali
Ohhh that should be Mark's gimmick if he ever returns to the business........
The Professional Principal Copani

He is very wrong ... if the Hassan character came back today, he would be huge and very successful
