I managed to build it - looks great. I used 160gsm photo paper, which works great. And tips: print the template mirrored, then you can cut it out and even if you dont manage to cut away every bit of ink noone will see it from the front. :-) I am just not satified with the "accordions" for spacing, I might look for a better solution.
Hello! Love the tuto! I will try to do one for my friend but with my own drawings! Are there different types of watercolor papers? Because mine is quite thick and I need to pass the knife several times to cut it SO I wonder also if the light will diffuse well
I think your videos are wonderful, I made one for my sister and she loved it. Could you do one about the book “A Court of Mist and Fury”?? I'm sure it will be very successful. Here in Brazil everyone is addicted to everything that has to do with him. Thanksss
wow that looks really great. I bought your template, but unfortunately it doesn't work that way for me. May I ask what is the depth of your photo frame and what is the brightness of the lamp? Looks really great! I hope I can still do it that way! and sorry i used google translate and hope my questions are understandable.
@Dr.Papperoni Can you specify the paper you used? What weight is it per square meter? And how do you mange to make such a clean cut out?! When I try it my best it always looks butchered
@@paperoniart I got the paper (or atleast one that is also 200gsm) and tried to cut out the first page. 3 Trys, where I did the whole page and each looked horrible. Especially the letters für "Harry Potter" are pretty much impossible to cut out, atleast for me :(. The paper is rather thick, therefor I need to press hard, which leads to bad quality cut outs - the rounded corners are very difficult while pressing so hard. Also its super hard to precicly cut out the print, meaning to fully cut away the black lines - I will now try to print the whole template mirrored so I can hide the blacklines on the side facing the back of the frame, or am I missing some advantage of printing it normal? Which means another trip to the copy shop, cause neither my printer nor the printer of any of my friends manages to print on thicker paper (>100/120gsm). Maybe the paper is still the issue - Can you maybe provide a link to a suitable product? Cause "water color paper" doesnt really translate well into german product names ^^

Hey, they are so beautiful but my problem is, that the light don‘t shine through all the papers. Can you tell me how strong your led lights are?
I use 12V 60LED/m strip light. But most likely the problem is in the paper. For the best results you need watercolor paper 200g/m
