Agreed. This game was creepy and Lovecraftian when I played in an attic room in my dad's house back in 1992...But it was FUN! 😊 Better than a lot of games nowadays.
3D polygonal graphics in 1992? Very impressive. Infogrames managed to do the impossible back then, as very few games then managed to have polygonal graphics, as that wasn't widely used until the release of Descent in 1994.
When talking about a remaster of this, I could only accept an enormous graphical update - without changing it's style, or anything else in the first place. Gameplay, music, camera positions have to stay the same.
This game still scares me and I never had the opportunity to play it as a kid. And the graphics to me, is still relatively incredible. Sure they're very angular but, you need to apply a mental filter when looking at them.

I didn't create it. It's from the new Alone in the Dark game. There's a DLC that changes the characters to the 1992 version. I just screenshot it as I thought it looked like a husband and wife drive, and Edward looked angry about it.
There was another zombie DOS game, even older than this, where you also used a polygonal blonde woman that moved in a similar way to the one you can use in this game... I still remember a scene where you entered the bathroom of the house and there was a zombie hidden inside.... But I can't find this game anywhere and I can't remember the name... CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME??
Where did you pull that number from? Try *25* years ago. I'd agree if released now, it would look like "ass" but it wasn't and even won an award in 1993 for, guess... _'Best Graphics and Most Original Game'_ It's also considered as the earliest 3D survival horror video game, *before* Resident Evil.

This game scared me as a kid xD
Me too!! Yeah
@@sergvideo The wolf that jumped through the window scared you a lot, right? ;)
Sure the graphics are bad now, but back in the day nothing like this was ever seen before.

Believe it or not, but this was part of the inspiration behind the Resident Evil games. Like for instance, the camera angles you see.
3D polygonal graphics in 1992? Very impressive. Infogrames managed to do the impossible back then, as very few games then managed to have polygonal graphics, as that wasn't widely used until the release of Descent in 1994.
The shot of being watched from the window always sticks out to me. What a creepy camera angle.
I love how the frog jumpscare made me laugh my ass off more than actually scare me

This game needs to be re-made
Did you buy it?

A HD remaster of this game would be epic.
Agreed.
That would be epic.
There was one but the creators of the original game copyright claimed the remaster
@@nin5664 If we are talking about the same thing I am glad it was shut down. It looked bad.
The music is really cool
Updated 1080p version in description. It's only took 15 years
Classic! Still the best survival horror video game ever!!

This is my childhood :) thank you for upload this... : ).... I was 8 on 1992
I still remember this intro playing on PC's in the window of and Electroics Boutique store, and watching it with my jaw on the floor!
Ending: You are ded. Not beeg soup rice.
Devs clearly didn't expect the game to outlive the DOS.
Lmao that ending

Best game ever.

KILL ME.
P/S: 2:28
It's very similar to a Resident Evil theme. I think in the first one.
Remake on the way!
A 3d game from 1992.
