@@allanlgeorge thats what was said in the video, yes. THough it doesnt matter if youre buying silver to store your money. The premium matters when youre buying collectables, which is dumb.
Another good thought would be where are you guys on your stacking journey? If your just starting you would have best liquidity on smaller bars. But if you are at thousands of oz's and have all sizes filled in you may just be trying to add weight. I'm at the point where Im just stacking 100oz bars because that's what it takes to move me to the next 1000 more quickly and at the lowest premium. Someday I'll have to throw 1,000oz bar on the stack like you Rob!! The ultimate goal being to make a throne out of stacked 1,000oz bars haha!
In my opinion it depends on where you’re at in your stacking and what you personally can afford. If you’re just starting out I think 1 ouncers are the way to go. Once you have a good base of 1 ouncers then move into the larger sizes
At european dealers it seems common that the premium even starts to go higher when surpassing 1kg, which is crazy. Why would I buy a 15kg bar when I can buy 15 1 kg bars and save €1000?
It's not clickbait, it's what u need to have in you thumbnail so nocoiners will click on it. I love your videos and channel, very informative and interesting takes on different topics. Share the video with nocoiners, so they can see how beautiful staking shiny rocks can be.
I'm with you on the vintage bars. Engelhard are my favorite vintage bars. I'm looking for a 50 oz one right now. I couldn't afford to buy any precious metals for a while, but unfortunately my father passed away, so now I can. I prefer to save my inheritance for the most part in precious metals.
I'm a collector, so 1 ounce bars for me...just bought a Beavis and Butt-head Halloween silver bar...these typically sell for hundreds. I have lots of 1972-1975 art bars...some are worth hundreds each, some $30. Silver has made me fairly wealthy...its so easy.. My latest hoarding is Franklin Halves...bought around 10,000 of them in the last 7 years....7 years ago $5, now $12 for commons. I think the 1964 JFK is next in line to do well. Stack it high guys!
Nice video. I picked up a 100 oz bar for one dollar over spot when spot was $25. And then found a 100 oz Engelhard for a dollar over spot again when spot was $26. I been stacking for only 2-1/2 years.
"I'd rather have 10 100-ounce silver bars, because these (hand on 1000 ounce brick) give you a hernia!" Why didn't I think of that, like seriously?! Good job with that single most important reason! 👍
I prefer 1 ton bars but being on social security I am finding it difficult to purchase one. Or anything over 10 ounces for that matter. :) Nice video. Thx.
Bro...I saw your channel when it first started up. I was convinced that this info wasn't solid.... Well ..a few years later....I really regret not taking you more seriously. Now I gotta play catch up and at a higher cost.
I like the 10 oz and kilos over the 1000 ozers I tend to think that lcs would be leery of trusting the thickness if there is something else is in the center.
In my mind... 1 oz sovereign coins (easily recognizable - Maples, Britannias, Kruggers, etc.) for trade, barter, small purchases. Kilos are my next size up, if I had to trade for larger purchases. Then 100 oz bars if I ever wanted to trade for land. At least that's how I stack.
Bottom line is if you’re a highroller trying to stack something you plan to truly profit on most heavily bigger is better if you can move it. The logical choice premium aside is 1 ounce, 5 ounce, and 10 ounce with a nice bag of mixed constitutional silver. Those are the most practical for exchange if what we all expect is coming is coming….
I've always heard that "size matters". That "bar" that you refer to as a "1000 oz bar", sure looks a lot larger than 1000 oz. More like 2000 oz (or more), ... but I'm just looking at what I assume are some 100 oz beside it. I know what 100oz look like, as I have several of them, mostly RCM and two Nadir, an Englehard, and another generic one. Again, that certainly looks a lot larger than a "1000 oz bar".
1kg bar is more easily liquidated but has the same price economy (at least where I come from) It is the smallest "big bar" with the least premium. More collectable, more affordable to more people.
Well said and agree 100% Someone new to stacking would have no use for the 1000. If someone has been stacking for years and only wants weight then that 1000 comes into play. ( if they can afford it)
Divisibility is important on the SELL side. The smaller bars are good for folks who don't have deep pockets and can't afford a 100oz bar in one swoop. Hell, the largest bars I have are 10oz, but that's also in part because a significant portion of my modest stack is sovereign coin.
Start with silver dimes because if inflation hits one dime will be a full meal. Then quarters, halves, .999 1oz bullion, 5oz, 10oz, & Kilo. Going higher if the silver price climbs to say $600 oz. it will hard to sell for cash and you'll encounter the big T... If 3 silver dimes will feed you for a day then 100 will feed you for a month or a 1000 for a year which today cost approx. $200/hundred which today is good for 20 to 40 meals.
If "inflation" hits, the dollar price of meals will rise with the price of silver. You won't get any wealthier holding precious metals; they are just money. You will, however, protect your purchasing power from government theft.
People will never do that even in end times if they were paying bank for table scraps. Not enough people are informed on 90% junk silver most people will see a dime nickel or quarter and treat it as face value especially since it has the actual number on the coin they'll think your just trying to scam them. Even if you can sit there long enough to prove it's real silver people are also impatient and ain't gonna sit there for every coin for you to prove it's real. Good luck if that's your plan it will only work with people in the know that also collect junk silver. If your collecting for face value id reccomend the maple leaf since they cost a little less than silver dollars, they are four 9ths fine silver instead of three 9ths, they come with technology to help keep milk spotting away, and there's a nice 5 dollar value on there instead of 1 dollar. They only downside I can see with them is they are just slightly less popular than the silver eagle. Which blows my mind seeing all the other benefits of having a maple leaf over a silver eagle.
I have a ton of cool coins 1 oz silver every kind you can imagine I would love to trade it to someone for 5 oz bars and bigger you would come out ahead money-wise
3:23. Another thing to also consider is that if you don't want the IRS to know that you're buying silver, then you shouldn't buy a 1000oz bar. But if you don't care about the IRS knowing that you're buying silver, and you just want the most amount of silver for the cheapest price, then i'd recommend 1000oz bars, but if you don't wanna have a giant silver brick laying around, then u'd suggest that you go with 100oz bars, but it all depends on how you look at it, and i may also be missing somethibg, so correct me if you think that i'm wrong.
Ok........ I thought I had a lot of silver talk about being emasculated lol jk awesome stack of silver man and awesome video brother!!! Oh and bro nice two tone Rolex Yacht-Master!!!
you got a strong desk
IKr! 😂😂😂😂
Your video was not clickbait. The thumbnail didn’t lie, the title was accurate. You simply made a well-advertised video. Kudos.
Love that bar pyramid!
For me personally its the 1kg bar.
Lower premium and more silver for the price right?
Same 💯
Kilos! Good pick.
If I had the money I would have 1 of each

Its held up by comex bars
I just love Gold 💯

I started at 1kg. I didn't have a lot to waste on premium for 1oz rounds.
Exactly what I've done. And being i consider them long term investments a few cents on the dollar isn't a tough pill to swallow for me
Good video on bar size comparisons. I like the 10oz for easy disposal.
Hi Rob, my favorite now is 100 OZ RCM. I bought some, Very nice pieces!
Me too ...Love the RCM 10 and 100 .. beautiful
Big fan of Engelhard as well! 20 oz are may favourite! awesome video
100oz ain't much cheaper than 1kg bars
I think 1kg is the sweet spot for weight vs cost.
Wow. I just did the math, you're right.
At european dealers it seems common that the premium even starts to go higher when surpassing 1kg, which is crazy. Why would I buy a 15kg bar when I can buy 15 1 kg bars and save €1000?
@@Schnitz1 Could be a result of gov't regulations, insurance considerations, or simply the carrying costs of a 15kg bar.

Can u do a video explaining why silver price is manipulated to be low?
There’s room in the market for your videos. They’re great.

Loved your video. It’s fun and very informative 😊
Love the old poured bars, I’m a bit of a sucker for them.

Keep grinding Rob!!! 🤜🤛😎
I love the RCM bars
ALL OF THEM. 😂. I treat it like money. Have it in different denominations.
Looks good
You are a mini COMEX dude. I love the vintage bars. I have a few 10 ox Engelhard. Best to you
You could make that comex bar in to a Thor hammer. Love your videos man. Thanks for your time and insights.
Yep, drill a hole through it and pop a broomstick innit...
This is a good idea 🤔
EXCELLENT and valuable info! Really the BEST out there. Thank you
10 oz and kilo are my favs
Bigger the bar the less liquidity, but the lowest cost per ounce. Pick accordingly.
That comex bar is amazing.
Great video, I'm new to stacking so this was very informative 👍
If you learn nothing else, it’s that he’s a fan.
I love the 1 oz rounds and bars, Not now though premiums are crazy so course 20+ oz bars have the lowest premiums right now at the moment.
The largest bar I will stack is the 100 ounce because of the ease of selling it if the SHTF
Very informative. Thanks so much.
🤝
Crazy collection 🔥
Also the shipping costs will be much lower for the smaller bars. That'll make up some of the premium difference if you needed to sell them.
Most places do free shipping over $500
All of them
I like kilos the best. The weight and shine and the sound it makes when it clangs with another kilo!

Of hiatory doesn't add to proce, then you should just buy for the weight only in my opinion, but that's your choice.

1 oz. , 5 oz. anything else is too hard to resell in a financial crisis.

pre 64 dimes are the best buy right now and the most divisible . exchange those 100 oz bars for dimes . 14 times = 1 troy ounce
A lot of places sell coins with the lowest premium being with 2000 coins. 140 lbs!
What company makes the silver bars that are 55 of them on the table
