We ( 800 miles ago ) Bought the non - premium GR86 , but in the MANUAL 6 Speed which I would HIGHLY recommend 👍🏾❗️❗️In my opinion You’ll have an even MORE fun driving experience & it’s very forgiving , if you’re willing to learn on it , if you’re not familiar with a manual . Also with our purchase we were given a NASA , which in this case I believe stands for National Auto . . . Track day . I believe this is common with all GR purchases. Great ride 😎👍🏾❗️
A very good review...seriously considering purchasing this automobile love the look and MT transmission. Used to have a 1985 corolla GT-S hatchback MT in my younger days was fun to drive will definitely consider.
I went from my 2013 Mini S to this (well the BRZ). The mid range feels like it has less torque. I think I preferred the Mini’s manual shifting as well, but just by a hair. And the gas mileage and insurance is worse in the BRZ. I actually use 5th gear in the BRZ. I have not been able to make it have the traction slip on corners unless I intentionally do so. It’s nice getting into a rwd car again. It’s a super stiff chassis as well, and you can tell. (Not in a bad way.) I haven’t decided on the electric steering, it’s responsive like crazy, but on the other hand I’ve noticed my driving drifting to the edge of the lane a lot more than the Mini. But really, this is as close to my ideal car as I can get under $40,000. The only thing I’d do different on it would be round lights. I like my round headlights.
I have a ‘21 Camry SE and my last 3 cars were all Camrys, being a 2005 and 2018 .. and I’m kinda tired of it. I’m looking at this Exactly Model and color and I’m dying to get one! But I’m worried about sacrificing practicality and MPG of my Camry with trading it in for a GR86. Then again, I’m 23 and looking for a coupe for a while. I’m open to 2nd opinions !!
I ordered a 2024 Subaru BRZ Limited. Subaru will sell for sticker price. Toyota marks it up in my state! 😡. Since it’s a Subaru motor; I am glad I went with a Subaru❣️
Rather pay a little more and get the BRZ. It's more commuter-friendly by having a bit more luxury feel to it from it's interior. Other than that, brz and gr86 are practically the same car.
BRZ doesn't have anything fancier in the interior except chrome door handles. It is more commuter friendly because of it's softer more isolated suspension tuning though.
What a beautiful car and a hell of a good deal for that much fun!!! My next car for sure. Why buy a C8 or Hemi Charger cars that can do 160 you can't open it up public roads get popped for doing 140 forget it you'll never get insurance again. Either of those cars all eyes are on you when on the road especially the law. Don't get me wrong there both awesome cars but that temptation to open it up is too strong. Don't have to drive fast for fun in this car. Just my opinion don't murder me.

I'm wondering how comfortable it is for highway trips.

Would you recommend the base over the premium? I think the small wheels would be more forgiving in city streets

Great overview with details most do not mention such as the fact that the side mirrors are heated! Great Job 👏

I’m thinking of getting this but in red.
I really want this car, everything about it is cool and looks MAAD good 😭🙏🏻
The turn signal thing is the truth!! lmaooo.
wtf, my 2024 gr86 doesn't have that little space near the heated seat controls. That looks handy lol
did they fix the silicone issue?
Did they?

🎉 the best seats in a sports sedan along with the subaru BRZ TS and the Hyundai Elantra N 30 2024.
7:10 best part of the video
USE your turn signals
Very nice!
Hey Tom, does this vehicle have a cvt transmission?
God no, performance cars don't have CVTs bro. CVTs are for soccer mom SUVs only.
@ArmySigs Acura Integra has a CVT
A CVT wouldn't even need paddle shifters
😂😂😂😂 what is that arrow blinking hahah
When you press LOCK the GAS cap lid LOCKS...................HELLO!

I had a 24 BRZts ❤
I'd say it's the best bang for your buck imo
Love that color.
Great review as always Tom! Gorgeous sexy sports car!
Thank you, Braeton! Happy new year!
Well, only if Toyota stops markup from MSRP. 2022/2023 used GR86 is more expensive than a brand new 2023 GR86 on MSRP, I think this is ridiculous!

I really want that HP tho
a rwd Celica in disguise
I loved the old old Celica
How much is the out of door ?
under 40K
46k where I’m from
If this car had a toyota built v6 it would kill all of the competition.
I'm thankful that you aren't in product planning at Toyota/Subaru.
@@ytj22 im thankful your opinion will always be completely irrelevant
@whouwit6392 It's true. My opinion is usually quite irrelevant, but it is still relevant enough for a response I see.
True - aye - no
It needs a convertible model and a nicer interior
