I also thought that I’d never be able to like any “boring” song from folklore, and now august is my fav Taylor swift song of all time… the albums grown on me a LOT
omg back when it came out i wasn't a swiftie yet and i remember listening to it because everyone was talking about how good it was yet i got so bored and i ended up just skimming through the rest of it but then a year later i heard my tears ricochet on tiktok and i was like "omg this is so beautiful" and decided to give the album another chance and listen to it fully again and now i'm a swiftie and folklore is my favorite taylor swift album and one of my favorite albums of all time 😭
I love how august so beautifully expresses being “the other woman” and how being her doesn’t mean you just have some sick vendetta against these people. It can truly just be about falling in love with someone who was never yours. As an victim of unrequited love I think that not having someone love you back sucks but having someone love you back but then ultimately decide someone else is better hurts even more
Folklore is what made me a Swiftie. This is really where her songwriting becomes so mature and intense. And Mirrorball is I think one of her most honest and vulnerable songs. Taylor shows us every version of ourselves from happy in new love, to broken hearted to nostalgic of our simple childhood to dancing out with your friends. She is always there for us when we need her. Giving it her all in her highest heels 👠. Thanks for giving this another couple listens!
Folklore is my favorite album ever. It is so pretty and the attention to detail is so nice. (Also totally not jealous that u might be going to the eras tour😖)
This is my favorite album by her. She really let her emotions that she felt from getting her first 6 albums being stolen from her inspire her to write about breakups, divorce, being cheated on, wanting to commit suicide, and being involved in toxic relationships. It's crazy bc even tho the songs on the album have nothing to do with her life except for maybe a few there and then, we can all still relate to the songs.
folklore was the album that really got me into taylor's music, before, her music was jumping around at a friend's house to 22, but after folklore, i was really able to connect emotionally with her music through her lyrics and storytelling.
listening to this album is like listening to a museum full of paintings. it’s confusing but beautiful. it’s an experience. and the fact that taylor gave us this masterpiece during the pandemic out of boredom is just amazing. the complex stories she made, the ‘Betty’ and ‘August’ characters inspired by Ryan Reynolds’s children- like every detail, every specific action- just mwah. and it’s not just the words, the way taylor delivers the lines… it’s like she’s reading straight from a storybook in a certain melody. like anyone else who covers Taylor’s songs can’t truly capture the exact same essence as it emits through taylor’s original voice. many other singers focus more on vocal techniques or whatever- Taylor’s vocals are more story-esque because of her “punchy” enunciation. you can tell what words she’s saying pretty easily most of the time, and her singing voice sounds exactly like how she speaks regularly. she’s so poetic and intellectual- and knows how to vocalize the tone of each song. And yeah I know it takes time to learn Taylor’s vocal abilities and being able to appreciate her skills but even if it’s not easy to pinpoint her vocal strengths you can still experience her talent in telling those stories while acknowledging her writing talents as well ❤ and personally my favorite song is my tears ricochet. idk that chord progression just haunts me in my sweetest dreams. it just hits different for me :)
Folklore surprisingly makes so much sense for Taylor's discography!! Said she started her carrer imagining and penning up love stories, I def think it was long due and she SHINES with it. Fascinating she got album of the year TWICE for her imagination and storytelling (Fearless, Folklore)
2020 was one of the worst years in modern human history and Folklore was genuinely one of the only things that saved it. I know you didn't start listening to Taylor Swift until recently but I do think the context of this album is important in why it's so beloved by the fans. Taylor had just come out with Lover the year before and was supposed to be doing Loverfest in 2020. She was only able to perform songs from Lover a handful of times live before the pandemic shut down everything, and that was a huge disappointment. Then for months the world obviously got DARK and we were looking to literally anything for good news. Folklore was announced the afternoon before it was released that midnight. I remember seeing the post at work, me and my co-workers sitting outside (good ventilation), sitting feet apart from each other (social distancing) while we ate our lunches. We were back "in society" again after worldwide quarantine but things weren't better, you know? Things were just a different kind of bad because now the world was open again and we were all scared to actually BE out. Like people were DYING from this shit but I guess I have to go to work now? I was definitely scared, my co-workers were scared. So imagine seeing Taylor fucking Swift saying that she had a WHOLE NEW SURPRISE ALBUM, dropping THAT NIGHT. I genuinely screamed from excitement sitting there with my peanut butter sandwich, six feet from my co-workers. It'sIt's the sort of good news everyone was DESPERATE for. And the album was AMAZING. Different than anything Taylor had done before: tonally, lyrically, sonically, ALL of it. The way it dropped, the time in history which it dropped, and how NEW it all was was a surefire recipe to make it stand out in Taylor's repertoire and make it stand out as something special. I genuinely think that if Taylor had dropped a Folklore at any other time in her career it wouldn't have worked as well (it probably would have been much more divisive and heavily critiqued tbh). But Folklore was only made BECAUSE the pandemic happened, because Taylor had to put her life on pause like the rest of us, wallow in grief over the future she was supposed to have being torn away from her, wallow in the darkness that the whole world was feeling in that time, and then decide to create something to help her cope with it, something that maybe made the world a little brighter. So yeah, when people got on you for not giving Folklore a fair shake before, I think a lot of that had a lot to do with how special that album was to so many people. It was one of those lightning-in-a-bottle art pieces that really gave people a lot of happiness in a collectively really dark time.
In my opinion all of T-Swift’s best albums are a slow burn. When I first listened to Folklore and Evermore, I wasn’t too impressed. But because it’s T-Swift, I kept listening. And the more I listened the more and more they grew on me. Same can be said with Midnights.
@@tay_rizul The Taylor Swift rabbit hole is a very real phenomenon that I was hoping would be a phase. Now I've just accepted that I'll keep on going down further and further until I get bored... Which is not happening because she just keeps on releasing new bangers DAMN IT! xD

The best thing abt folklore is for sure the story. like james, betty, augustine, and how EVERYTHING is intentional and ties back to the main ideas of the album
Folklore is tied with Red as my fav album, so I’m glad to see this album grew on you! I literally love every song so it’s hard to choose a fav but if I had to, it would be august or the lakes.
I love what you were saying about all of the songs on folklore relating to Augustine, Betty, and James because that’s how i’ve always seen the album and it makes it so much sadder 😭😭
folklore is one of my all time favourite albums - i’m so glad it grew on you! my fave song has to be my tears ricochet but i also love illicit affairs, august and mirrorball
this is perfect timing because even though i've always liked folklore (and mirrorball is one of my favorite taylor songs ever), it's only like a couple weeks ago that this album FULLY clicked for me, especially august like idk i've always felt a disconnect, now i like it even more than mirrorball? idk something shifted for me, this album is such a grower
My favorite song from folklore is probably the last great american dynasty, the storytelling is fantastic in that one. The bridge?! She died a dog green! The perspective-switch at the end is ofc my favorite part, how she uses the refrain in a different way to tell her side of the story. Anyway I’ve been really enjoying this series on your channel! I really hope you listen to speak now next, and that you watch the tour on yt for that to, it blew my mind to see the songs be played live!
I just went to her show, it was my first Taylor Swift concert. It was THE MOST insane experience. I really think you don’t have to be a fan to enjoy it, and any seat is amazing at her shows. I hope you get to go!!!
I love that you are so honest with these video bc I’m A DIEEE HARD SWIFTIE but dude I couldn’t care less about lover💀 but watching your opinions is like a breath of fresh air bc I feel like if you’re a swiftie and make fun of ME! Someone will come for you. Not everyone obviously but still. Love these videos🫶🏼
I’d love to help you go to the eras tour! I’m waiting for the international tickets to release, and although they’ll cost a kidney and an arm, 😂 I’m willing to get there! I hope these videos make you enough to go!
To add more perspective, the POVs of those three songs are also through different lens of time. For instance, in Betty the lyrics is simplistic, straight-forwarded as it's coming from James when he was young and therefore explains the simplicity of the vocabulary choices and tone.
it's completely fine to overlook folklore, I also didn't like it at first but now I love it so much! And also your theory on all of the songs being written from the perspectives of the love triangle fit so well, I had never thought about it!
Same, was like you. Didnt really like folklore that much upon initial listen. (Fan for 8years back when folklore dropped) but 2.5 years later... folklore/evermore easily became my fav albums of hers.. the song writing and production are top notch, can tell how much she matured from the prev albums. Folkmore ages like fine wine, the more we listen the better it gets! Cant pick favs off these because its so consistent
I never listened to folklore until just recently a few months ago because it tbh just went under the radar for me. Then when I finally sat down to listen to it, it's my fav album of hers now! It's such a mood and I love the atmosphere of it. The beautiful storytelling and amazing production just makes this album incredible. And I just wanna give love to illicit affairs over here, I feel like I don't see a lot of people showing it love often, but when that bridge comes on omg!! Also, I love your videos so much! I recently found you in my recommended and was like how does this guy not have a bunch of subscribers! I always look forward to your videos and I'm so glad I found you :)
First of all I'm still laughing about the "give me back my f*ing scarf" 😂 I'm also really enjoying how you're slowly turning into a swiftie :) I also really wanna say I used to think that her voice and singing is not that great as well but I really recommend her live concert movies she has the reputation one on nf and the 1989 (my personal favorite) on yt her voice is surprisingly powerful (especially out of the woods live is insane imo).
@@jasonpaulkim Ur welcome thanks for the videos :) I keep putting Taylors live concerts on when I have to clean my room or do laundry or sth where you wanna watch sth casual with good music :p
I will forever be grateful to this album as the showcase for Taylor Swift's talent and brilliance as a musician. The world gets it now. My top pics from folklore are My Tears Ricochet, exile, seven and august. Best of luck on your journey to the Eras Tour ❣
folklore is my all time fave from taylor. and these are some insane lyrics: "Leaving like a father, running like water." "And if I'm dead to you why are you at the wake? Cursing my name, wishing I stayed, look at how my tears ricochet." "When you can't sleep at night, you hear my stolen lullabies." "They told me all of my cages were mental, so I got wasted like all my potential." "And it's hard to be at a party when I feel like an open wound. It's hard to be anywhere these days when all I want is you. You're a flashback in a film reel on the one screen in my town." "You're not my homeland anymore, so who am I defending now." "You taught me a secret language I can't speak with anyone else." And lastly how she played with the words in 'august' like: "Meet me behind the mall." is a play on "Meet me behind THEM ALL." 😭
I remember learning about the folklore love triangle, but then I became obsessed. I listened to the love triangle songs and Betty became my favorite song within 15 seconds. Like I said, it’s an obsession, when I talk/joke abt it my friends don’t understand and it’s truly sad.
I'm lucky enough to attend the Eras Tour in June, I hope you get tickets too! I already watch your videos (swiftie and non-swiftie alike) religiously so hopefully that helps 🤞
Folklore is a masterpiece from the point of view of hitting at your emotions, especially when you've struggled in life and you're looking for something that feels like a hug and a breath of fresh air. It's not songs for you to rave to. That's what folklore is. It's calming but still haunting
Also, a lot in this album can be interpreted as her telling us about the painful process of losing her own music. Like I think that in 'my tears ricochet' the whole first verse is about that, it’s like she’s literally talking to Scooter. Some of the songs are about pandemic (epiphany), some are about her childhood (seven), others like invisible string, illicit affairs or peace are about her relationship with Joe. I personally adore folklore and I feel like it’s another affirmation that she’s a lyrical genius. Now songs like cardigan, peace, august or seven are one of my favorites among Taylor’s whole discography!
idk if i agree w tht lol like it sucks tht she lost her music but this is years after and at this point she already knew she was gonna re-record so 🤷🏻♂️ feels like a stretch imo
this is late but fun fact about mirrorball: she wrote it after she found out her 2020 Lover concerts had to be cancelled. She is the mirrorball always trying to keep us looking at her. she loves being on stage connecting with her fans.
I agree with nearly everything you said in this video. The video was great, it actually helped me to understand folklore a bit more as well. Good luck on your mission to the Eras Tour! Now...time to listen to folklore on repeat...
Thank you for taking the time to get into folklore. I didn't get it either the first couple of times, but it's a grower for sure. I think it's her most assured work, it's my favourite of hers and possibly my favourite album ever. There are fewer stand out songs, but the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts.
folklore is one of those albums that you listen to on a long road trip, or just laying in bed about to go to sleep. It takes time but I promise that the album will grow on you lol . I've grown to appreciate it personally after reflecting and thinking abt hard and rocky times in life. it's that one album that I'll always go back to
My favorite song of folklore is the last great american dynasty. I just love the concept of the song and I kinda relate to the thing of being the maddest woman/girl the town has ever seen.
I am so happy you came out of this likening more then before! I completely agree with what you said around before your verdict about how all the songs are from a perspective of one of the characters. I believe that folklore in its entirety is just about the love triangle and the 3 main songs are just a quick glance of the story. Even some parts of Evermore have been said by taylor to be apart of the love triangle.
Epiphany is one of my absolute favorites! It's so softly tragic--and the way she's mixing the pandemic/first responders with her grandfather's world war II experiences is just so...I don't know, brilliant.
Okay, so second comment. 🤣😂 Folklore is my favorite album. My top songs are: 1. Cardigan - vocals/lyrics/production all chef’s kiss 2. Peace. It wrecks me. What she gives up for being who she is 3 My Tears Ricochet 😭😭😭 4. Mirrorball - see previous comment 5. August- by far my favorite in the trilogy.
I'm absolutely loving ur taylor swift content! Keep it up 💕 And I promise I'll be watching every ad I get, in order to make sure u go to the eras tour.
Folklore was definitely released at the perfect time when everyone needed to slowdown. Also there are soo many great lyrics that makes it really hard for me to choose only one favorite song from this album.
this series is so good!! keep it up. my fav song off folklore is my tears ricochet 😭😭😭 such a sad song but so good. my fav lyric from taylor (ever) is from mtr. “You can aim for my heart, go for blood, but you would still miss me in your bones.”
folklore made me a swiftie. I want to say im extremely depressed and love slow and meaningful music. My swiftie friends tried for like 4 years to turned me into a swiftie. But it never worked because they always showed me the pop songs. I get its not everyones jam, but its really important and impactful for me. I love sad and intresting music. It’s definetly an album you need to calm down and understand more in depth. Anyway sorry for the rant lol
Folklore is my favourite album, I think august, cardigan and the lakes are my favourite songs. I also love my tears ricochet, but I can’t listen to it without crying 🥲 and I hope you can go to the concert (that’s why I write this comment, I usually never write comments 😂). Greetings from Germany
I love folkore with a passion. I love the triangle of stories. She is awesome. She should do something like this in the future again. if she is up for it. It is hard for female artisits because they constanly have to change their style in every album
YESYSSY loved this video, ive deff started loving folklore bcz of the love triangle ALSO im glad u liked exile bcz most people dont enjoy it so much !!!! so excited 4 speak now and evermore lol
I really love foklore because of the production and writing and it's kind of funny because my sister hates it but loves evermore lol. I hope you can get your tickets! I'm going to see the concert tomorrow and im so excited!
Honestly, if you were to do a workshop for every song on this album, not a single one of us would complain. And this and Evermore are the only albums in which every song deserves it and it probably wouldn't get boring lol. (Even if it is just you going [*depressed cries*])
lmao yea i def thought abt it but truth is those parts of the vids have the lowest retention so i add them cuz i like them but i don't know if i could do every song lol
@@jasonpaulkim Makes sense. Though, if u were to make a full video of just that, most of us would watch it I think. Just like those people who break down albums song by song and get millions of views😂
Whattt seven is my favourite song 😭😭 folklore and evermore are my favourite albums ever so I’m glad y’all are taking the time to appreciate them properly 🙌🏻
Please do evermore! It has a similar feel to folklore, but yet feels different. I’m a Swiftie and it’s my favorite TS album. I’m not sure whether you would like it or not, but I would love to see your reaction!
I think folklore takes a whole different life after you watch the long pond studio sessions. Where she explains each song and you get to see then performed live.
“I’m not saying that Taylor is saying cheating is ok” Taylor said exactly that in Gorgeous & High Infidelity 😂 frfr she will always be the first to admit she’s messy and I love her for it
@Dana Meyerson I don't think Taylor was physically cheating, it was more of an emotional cheating where she got detached from the relationship coz there was not much depth left in the past relationship.
I remember when folklore came out and the swifties created that HUGE story where all the songs were connected lmao it had james going to war and dying and betty buying the saltbox house. That was wild looking back like how did my brain go “this makes sense!” Lmao
So for me, this is the second album from her I heard, and my reaction to it was: it ok. I'm not native English speaker, so I'm usually picking up the nuances only when I read lyrics. However, I can say that I enjoyed it more than "evermore" (the only indicator for that is the fact I have all "folklore" tracks on my playlist, while from the "evermore" I don't like "happinness"). There are definitely some hooks to be found there, like "the 1", "betty", or "august", not to mention how many time how many parts of "cardigan" got stuck in my head. And my top 3 would look like this: 3. "the 1" - I love this song's production and hook. 2. "exile" - My comfort song. The only one I got the meaning of at first listen haha 1. "betty" - I love this country thing she did there, so cool!
11:32 - 11:40 Yep. It's sad and way too relatable to me rn. That's exactly the situation i have with a certain guy, funnily enough - it was also in August 😢
your channel really confirms my theory that everyone would love taylor swift if they just gave her a chance
LITERALLY RIGHT
i kinda agree like if they dont like her they could at least see the hype
Omg ikr

Someone will come for you. Not everyone obviously but still. Love these videos🫶🏼
haha thank u i'm glad u like my stuff :)
I’d love to help you go to the eras tour! I’m waiting for the international tickets to release, and although they’ll cost a kidney and an arm, 😂 I’m willing to get there! I hope these videos make you enough to go!
This albums slaps so hard I’m so glad you went back to it to and actually listen to it
me too lol
To add more perspective, the POVs of those three songs are also through different lens of time. For instance, in Betty the lyrics is simplistic, straight-forwarded as it's coming from James when he was young and therefore explains the simplicity of the vocabulary choices and tone.
ig tht makes sense
the fact that you are saving to go to the eras tour is sooo cute !
I love the writing in folklore
it's completely fine to overlook folklore, I also didn't like it at first but now I love it so much! And also your theory on all of the songs being written from the perspectives of the love triangle fit so well, I had never thought about it!
lmao i honestly thought that's how it was the whole time and it made sense to me 🤷🏻♂️
@@jasonpaulkim I’ll only listen to it like that from now on
Same, was like you. Cant pick favs off these because its so consistent
yea i totally agree
I never listened to folklore until just recently a few months ago because it tbh just went under the radar for me. Then when I finally sat down to listen to it, it's my fav album of hers now! It's such a mood and I love the atmosphere of it. The beautiful storytelling and amazing production just makes this album incredible. And I just wanna give love to illicit affairs over here, I feel like I don't see a lot of people showing it love often, but when that bridge comes on omg!!
Also, I love your videos so much! I recently found you in my recommended and was like how does this guy not have a bunch of subscribers! I always look forward to your videos and I'm so glad I found you :)
yea i totally get tht it's def a grower! and thank u! i'm so glad u enjoy my vids :))
First of all I'm still laughing about the "give me back my f*ing scarf" 😂
I'm also really enjoying how you're slowly turning into a swiftie :)
I also really wanna say I used to think that her voice and singing is not that great as well but I really recommend her live concert movies she has the reputation one on nf and the 1989 (my personal favorite) on yt her voice is surprisingly powerful (especially out of the woods live is insane imo).
Oh and my favorite song are cardigan and exile :)
thanks for the rec :)
@@jasonpaulkim Ur welcome thanks for the videos :)
I keep putting Taylors live concerts on when I have to clean my room or do laundry or sth where you wanna watch sth casual with good music :p
I will forever be grateful to this album as the showcase for Taylor Swift's talent and brilliance as a musician. The world gets it now.
My top pics from folklore are My Tears Ricochet, exile, seven and august. Best of luck on your journey to the Eras Tour ❣
solid picks and ty!
enjoyed watching this
today? 🫣
Oh it's today xD
August ,Betty , The 1 , Mirrorball
Best songs

CARDIGAN!!!
folklore is my all time fave from taylor. and these are some insane lyrics:
"Leaving like a father, running like water."
"And if I'm dead to you why are you at the wake? Cursing my name, wishing I stayed, look at how my tears ricochet."
"When you can't sleep at night, you hear my stolen lullabies."
"They told me all of my cages were mental, so I got wasted like all my potential."
"And it's hard to be at a party when I feel like an open wound. It's hard to be anywhere these days when all I want is you. You're a flashback in a film reel on the one screen in my town."
"You're not my homeland anymore, so who am I defending now."
"You taught me a secret language I can't speak with anyone else."
And lastly how she played with the words in 'august' like:
"Meet me behind the mall." is a play on "Meet me behind THEM ALL." 😭
bars
I remember learning about the folklore love triangle, but then I became obsessed. I listened to the love triangle songs and Betty became my favorite song within 15 seconds. Like I said, it’s an obsession, when I talk/joke abt it my friends don’t understand and it’s truly sad.
lol yea my friends don't know a thing abt taylor either my swiftie community is just u guys
@@jasonpaulkim my friends like Taylor but I don’t think they are quite as obsessed
I'm lucky enough to attend the Eras Tour in June, I hope you get tickets too! I already watch your videos (swiftie and non-swiftie alike) religiously so hopefully that helps 🤞
haha thank u!!!
Exile, Betty and August are definitely my three favorite songs from folklore! Glad you liked them too :D
Folklore is a masterpiece from the point of view of hitting at your emotions, especially when you've struggled in life and you're looking for something that feels like a hug and a breath of fresh air. It's not songs for you to rave to. That's what folklore is. It's calming but still haunting
i totally agree
JUSTICE FOR SEVEN- also can't wait for evermore!!!
it's alr i guess
This is like literally my new favorite series on youtube super exited for evermore!!!
Please do red tv soon I’m dying
haha thank u!! so glad u like it and i promise i will
Evermore is my first one and folklore is ina very close second place. My favs are:
1. This is my trying
2. Betty
3. Cardigan
4. Exile
5. August
Hope you get a chance to go to the tour!
thank u
Exile is my favorite song from folklore i just love this song so much
this is late but fun fact about mirrorball: she wrote it after she found out her 2020 Lover concerts had to be cancelled. She is the mirrorball always trying to keep us looking at her. she loves being on stage connecting with her fans.
yea tht makes sense
I agree with nearly everything you said in this video. The video was great, it actually helped me to understand folklore a bit more as well. Good luck on your mission to the Eras Tour!
Now...time to listen to folklore on repeat...
lmaoo gotta have tht shit on loop! ty im glad u enjoyed
13:55 Seven really grew on me and now its one of my faves, i just love this whole album sm
maybe it'll grow on me too :)
I love whenever u upload idk how ur not viral ur videos are so entertaining and fun
haha thank u! i'm glad u like my stuff
You actually inspired me to take a deeper look into this album. Usually avoid it for making me sad but it's INTERESTING (like, very)
yeah man i get tht for sure but it's so worth it!!
Thank you for taking the time to get into folklore. I didn't get it either the first couple of times, but it's a grower for sure. I think it's her most assured work, it's my favourite of hers and possibly my favourite album ever. There are fewer stand out songs, but the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts.
noted lol
just liked and subscribed!
thank u!!!
@@jasonpaulkim ofc goodluck on ur journey💪💪💪
folklore is one of those albums that you listen to on a long road trip, or just laying in bed about to go to sleep. It takes time but I promise that the album will grow on you lol . I've grown to appreciate it personally after reflecting and thinking abt hard and rocky times in life. it's that one album that I'll always go back to
My favorite song of folklore is the last great american dynasty. I just love the concept of the song and I kinda relate to the thing of being the maddest woman/girl the town has ever seen.
lol go off ig
I am so happy you came out of this likening more then before! I completely agree with what you said around before your verdict about how all the songs are from a perspective of one of the characters. I believe that folklore in its entirety is just about the love triangle and the 3 main songs are just a quick glance of the story. Even some parts of Evermore have been said by taylor to be apart of the love triangle.
oh wow i didn't realize tht abt evermore lol but yea i mean that's kinda how i choose to see it
I hope u get the tickets!! I wish I could go. Subscribed and liked, now gonna watch all of the videos
haha thank u!!
Epiphany is one of my absolute favorites! It's so softly tragic--and the way she's mixing the pandemic/first responders with her grandfather's world war II experiences is just so...I don't know, brilliant.
Okay, so second comment. 🤣😂
Folklore is my favorite album. My top songs are:
1. Cardigan - vocals/lyrics/production all chef’s kiss
2. Peace. It wrecks me. What she gives up for being who she is
3 My Tears Ricochet 😭😭😭
4. Mirrorball - see previous comment
5. August- by far my favorite in the trilogy.
i respect it
I'm absolutely loving ur taylor swift content! Keep it up 💕
And I promise I'll be watching every ad I get, in order to make sure u go to the eras tour.
haha thank u!!! and i'm glad ur enjoying
Folklore was definitely released at the perfect time when everyone needed to slowdown. Also there are soo many great lyrics that makes it really hard for me to choose only one favorite song from this album.
makes sense lol
Thanks for the video!! I really hope you can make it to the eras tour! I went Tampa night 3 and it was magical ✨✨
ahhh lucky!! thank u :)
this series is so good!! keep it up.
my fav song off folklore is my tears ricochet 😭😭😭 such a sad song but so good. my fav lyric from taylor (ever) is from mtr. “You can aim for my heart, go for blood, but you would still miss me in your bones.”
thank u!!!
folklore made me a swiftie. Anyway sorry for the rant lol
seven is the best song in folklore, the piano at the end is perfect! You should pay attention to that 😢
mehhh lol
Folklore is my favourite album, I think august, cardigan and the lakes are my favourite songs. I also love my tears ricochet, but I can’t listen to it without crying 🥲 and I hope you can go to the concert (that’s why I write this comment, I usually never write comments 😂).
Greetings from Germany
haha yea man this album is just so sad and thank u!!
the entire reason i really just live folklore is the lyrics and the live triangle tied into the album 😭
exactly
I love folkore with a passion. I love the triangle of stories. She is awesome. She should do something like this in the future again. if she is up for it. It is hard for female artisits because they constanly have to change their style in every album
im excited to see reputation
def in the works
YESYSSY loved this video, ive deff started loving folklore bcz of the love triangle ALSO im glad u liked exile bcz most people dont enjoy it so much !!!! so excited 4 speak now and evermore lol
i'm glad u enjoyed!!
i absolutely love this series! u always give ur honest and genuine opinions which I love
thank u!!
i love the fact that u love folklore cause its incredible..... but the seven slander- seven is my no. 1 lmao
we can agree to disagree :)
I really love foklore because of the production and writing and it's kind of funny because my sister hates it but loves evermore lol. I hope you can get your tickets! I'm going to see the concert tomorrow and im so excited!
thts awesome! have fun :))
Just like those people who break down albums song by song and get millions of views😂
favorite folklore song changes so much but my college student during finals ass says my fave rn is this is me trying
lmaooooo
Whattt seven is my favourite song 😭😭 folklore and evermore are my favourite albums ever so I’m glad y’all are taking the time to appreciate them properly 🙌🏻
lol i respect tht but i just don't like the melody and yea it's a great album
Please do evermore! It has a similar feel to folklore, but yet feels different. I’m a Swiftie and it’s my favorite TS album. I’m not sure whether you would like it or not, but I would love to see your reaction!
watch til the end of the vid lol
@@jasonpaulkim I am excited, I do hope you like it after a few listens! ^^
I think folklore takes a whole different life after you watch the long pond studio sessions. Where she explains each song and you get to see then performed live.
I’m commenting because ya said it helps get you tickets and I support that
🫡
I'm glad to see your channel taking off! I really hope you can attend the Eras tour!
thank u!!
i’m watching this in my folklore phase 💗💗💗
lol let's goooo
POV i commented so he goes to era tour
“I’m not saying that Taylor is saying cheating is ok” Taylor said exactly that in Gorgeous & High Infidelity 😂 frfr she will always be the first to admit she’s messy and I love her for it
damnn i didn't even realize lol
@@jasonpaulkim Not “cheating is ok!” but “oops I cheated which is technically bad but also I haven’t seen my bf in weeks and we barely talk” 🤣
@Dana Meyerson
I don't think Taylor was physically cheating, it was more of an emotional cheating where she got detached from the relationship coz there was not much depth left in the past relationship.
But I agree she is so self aware that she will admit about her messy stuff and that's what makes her authentic.❤
I have been literally waiting for this all week!!
let's goooo
SEVEN IS MY FAVORITE TS SONG OF ALL TIME HOW COULD U
ignoring that, great video as always!
sorry :(
I remember when folklore came out and the swifties created that HUGE story where all the songs were connected lmao it had james going to war and dying and betty buying the saltbox house. That was wild looking back like how did my brain go “this makes sense!” Lmao
lol i mean it kinda does if u just don't harp on details
definitly folklore is my favorite TS album. i think my top 3 is seven, cardigan and invisible string, but all the songs in it are amazing
i respect those picks and yea totally agree they're all good
LOVE THE RESPECT FOLKLORE!!!!!!!!!
it's a a good album
hoping u can make it to the eras tour!!! 🤞🏻
thank u!
And my top 3 would look like this:
3. "the 1" - I love this song's production and hook.
2. "exile" - My comfort song. The only one I got the meaning of at first listen haha
1. "betty" - I love this country thing she did there, so cool!
haha yea totally makes sense and great picks!!
Mirrorball is my favourite from Folklore!! Super glad the album grew on you.
it's such a good song!!
hey if u do a special reaction video for “right where you left me” i’ll do anything. ANYTHING. trust me. it’s the best taylor song out there
noted
Your videos are amazing, they are so well researched, great job!! Also, could you do videos on The Weeknd’s albums?
hmmm i'd like to at some point but can't promise anytime soon :)
11:32 - 11:40
Yep. It's sad and way too relatable to me rn.
That's exactly the situation i have with a certain guy, funnily enough - it was also in August 😢
lol sometimes it do be feeling like taylor writes these songs abt us directly
Betty i~🎶
my favorite song on folklore is the last great american dynasty! it ranks number 5 for me on the album ranking.
i respect it!!
Actually so hyped for your 1989 dive
it's soon 🫢
