We wouldn’t be in this mess with power generation if we had continued with clean coal technology as being researched at Grimethorpe in South Yorkshire ,but no we binned it because we needed to speculate to accumulate and privatisation was on the horizon ,by the way the late Joe Gormley always seemed to speak with a modicum of sense.
