Ah another announcer that doesn't know the rules. "The attacking phase" no longer has any relevance for handling calls. It's only if a goal is scored directly from the arm or "immediately following the touch by the scoring player". This was called because it was deemed a normal deliberate handling by the same criteria that has been in use for decades. It had nothing to do with the fact it started an attack.

The attacking phase absolutely has relevance for deliberate handling calls - it's what allows for a review. Deliberate handling outside an APP leading to a goal cannot be reviewed. The parts of Law 12 you cite only apply to accidental handling.

I agree fans should learn calls for themselves, but What I like about VAR calls is that it keeps refs accountable and makes them explain their decisions. It happens in the prem all the time where refs make controversial calls. Forcing them to explain puts more pressure on the ref to not make these blatant calls that are clearly favored/catered to a certain team.
That is proof why it is rigged for lafc to win every game at home
