How To Install A New Exhaust On A 2024 Harley-Davidson Road Glide

- The all-new 2024 Harley-Davidson Road Glide has proven to be a very impressive bike right off the showroom floor. If you've been following along with our vlogs, you know we've been putting our '24 standard to the test and have put it head-to-head with our Cammed 107" Standard and cammed 117" CVO. The one thing we knew was holding this machine back was the stock exhaust. Something about the quiet sound just didn't sit right with us. So we did the most logical thing and hit up our friends over at Bassani Xhaust to get this beaut kitted up with a fresh 2 into 1 system. The installation is very easy and can be done in under 2 hours! Follow along as we tear off that stock system and bolt on a proper one! Sound comparison included!

Reminds me of that meme that says if you think your job is bad, just remember there’s someone out there that installs stock Harley exhausts😂
Hahaha
Thrashin
I admired your team work ethic 😊. The 2024 RG looks great with Chrome Bassani.
Thanks a ton!
I just love the look of twin pipes. Plus my Tab 50 Cals sound awesome in my opinion.
🤣 "this is the last time you will hear this bike with this exhaust"...immediately hear the exhaust as its being put on the lift lol...Another rad video dudes! LOVE IT!
Hahaha
Wow it looks incredibly complicated. You guys really know what you're doing and it's obvious that you love your work!
Looks dope sounds dope I have a Bassani exhaust on my LRS ..team Bassani 🤘🏽
AWESOME ! the bike sound and look great !
Juan guiding you on to a bike lift is gold!
That is Bitchin
Great content guys especially the part about the retainer rings. You are the first I’ve seen to replace the rings. 👍🏾
Glad you like them!
Chrome exhaust makes it freaking pop!!! Beautiful...👊
Yes it does!
Bassani ! POWER YOU CAN FEEL
I like the new intro! I hate clips in the beginning of the episode as the intro. I always skip it. But this was perfect!
Sounds way better..but she definitely needs a cam. Love the m8 but they need a cam to have that Harley sounds we all love.
Great install video! Looks like the catalytic convertor was deleted? Does losing that back pressure affect it? Thanks!
Regards, Lindsay
Great vlog, you three make a super team. I must have missed installing the exhaust pipe to cylinder head gasket, always a pia for me. I'm interested to see what's next. Ahh, but no tacos! Well, we can't have tacos every time. Is Campos still in Simi Valley? Liked their food THIRTY YEARS AGO,, HA HA. More for burritos then tacos there.
Much much better !
Great video and great exhaust choice. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
Thanks!
Looks and sounds so much better!
We agree!
Sounds great 👍
Great video and well explained process!
Glad you liked it!
Good job guys! I want to put a Bassani on my Dyna eventually.
Do it!
@@THRASHIN I have got to put Legends in the front and back first!
You guys need to invest on vim tools ,the bit sets. Good for aftermarket part installs.
Header tape looks good on them to I did my 2020 low rider s in header tape an it matches my stock wheels afyer heat cycle same header tape I used on my BBK headers on my coyote
What bassani model is that I can’t find it for the 2024 model I want it for mine
I didn’t see you replace the gaskets.
O2 sensor black end goes to back.
no tune on this bike will be ok?
We will eventually do a tune once more options are available! Running no tune will be fine for the time being and won't damage the bike at all!
@@THRASHIN thank you so much for your answer. I am so confused. i’m gonna put my new exhaust on my 24 Cvo st . I just worry about will be make damage for my bike.
Is it OK to over tighten after muffler is on😅
what model pipe is that?
I'm wondering if the exhaust sits lower than stock, resulting in lower ground clearance and lean angle.
It sits around the same height, maybe a little higher and has plenty of clearance!
METRIC Systems ftw
I want this exhaust. I wish you guys posted the link to it. I can’t seem to find this exact one anywhere
Very nice!!
Isn't it so much easier using whole numbers, 15mm, 16mm instead of frations 27/32. Metric just makes sense
Ok so onky three guys lmao i want to see a video of juan soing somthing bye his self then it be cool to see cole show us that hour 33 min bar install solo lmao love u guys man i never seen those boards i love them do u have in contrast cut if so i need a set
I'm pretty sure you can use the screamin eagle tuner on those.
Thanks for the tip! We'll check it out!
Are the baffles removable?
Poor Cole is never gonna hear those stock speakers now!.. lol Upgrade that two!…
We're going to have to!
Can you guys give us feedback on if the pipe is getting the bag hot? Being soooo short I didn’t know if it gets hot under there, even with the kick out. Thanks 0:07
We haven't noticed anything yet! The kick out does a good job at keeping the exhaust moving away from the bag!
Why did you guys switch to a chrome pipe on a blacked out bike?
We like it. Contrast looks good
Why didn’t you choose to run a thrashin exhaust? Anti reversion?
Our system doesn’t fit a bagger
Let’s Goooo! 🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮
You didn't mention... ALWAYS SPRAY THE GROMITS WITH WD40 BEFORE REPLACING THE SIDE COVERS
I'm going to need you to start all over again. You forgot to weigh the after-market hanger bracket. It's probably about 8 pounds. 😂😂😂😂
The bracket was with the new exhaust on the scale!
LFG!🎉
Does Harley have a Screaming Eagle Tuner for it? That’s what I was told. Looking to do a bassani on my 24 road glide
We heard the same but need to look into it more! We'll let you guys know once we dial in what the setup will be!
@@THRASHIN any update on the SE tuning option? I'm putting a 2-1 on my 24' and trying to figure it out.
I wonder why theres not a thrashin exhaust for baggers.
Exhaust are tricky in todays world! We are too focused on other projects to dedicate the proper time and development into a new exhaust system right now. Maybe on day we'll get one going!
How much did the basani bracket weigh?
We didn't actually weigh it by itself but a portion of the weight came from that for sure
🔥🔥🔥
🤘🏽epic
What up
Hope you didnt forget the gaskets
We didn't! Sometimes we forget to film stuff and forget about it until the video is put together!
@@THRASHIN excellent!
Chrome is the only way to go. For me anyway.
Same!
💯👊🏽
Use welding gloves to remove hot exhaust
Why undo the O2 sensor wires. You could have just removed them from the headpipes, then you wouldn’t have had to reroute the wires.
Both will get the job done, but trying to remove and install the O2 sensors leaving them zip tied and plugged in is much more a pain in the butt.
Agree with Thrashin guys bc if removed from the headpipe side, upon reinstallation, they often will cause them to “twist up” almost like a garden hose.
Off Week Garage just installed an SP Concepts 2 into 1 on his 24 RG with no problems. Sure the wire twisted a bit, but it was a time savor and he didn’t have to cut the zip ties and reroute the wires. It’s all good, whatever works.
why don't you use electric or air ratchets .
We do sometimes…
Too short ,should be longer
We have 2 other baggers in our line up with exhaust passed the bags. It’s fun having different stuff
Is that a quote from your old lady?
@@BustedKnuckleMotorcycle all ladies tell us that 😜
Yeah Harley is no longer American only assembled here . I wish they would remove the lie from the brand or bring it bk to the states !!!!
Why don’t you guys use power tools for most of your work? It would be a lot quicker, haha!
Safer not to! Sometimes we do if we are in a hurry
@@THRASHIN right on! I definitely get that! Keep up the awesome work guys! Love watching you all! 👍🏻💪🏻💪🏻
HD stock exhaust is so pathetic
My only real issue with Bassani exhausts is the BLAT no depth note they make. It's a shame, but the lack of the richness/ deep bass sound makes me stay away from this brand..
To each their own! What do you usually run?
Would yall ever buy an Indian
Motorcycle???? Or make parts for it
Maybe one day! Right now we are just focused on making the best Harley parts we can!
Please don't use this tss-tss-tss-tss background music, it's painful after a minute.
Nice vid. But. Gasp! No new exhaust gaskets??? 👀
Bassani? Respect and props for not just self-promoting self interests (Thrashin/Feuling) vlog. 👍
We wouldn't be where we are today without Bassani! Gotta show some love and respect to them!
Bassani makes exhaust for Thrashin
Ahhh, thought it was Feuling. Must be via Bassani. Good to know !
2 in 1 Bassani can't beat the sound👍
Get that chrome Feuling BA Air Clener on that puppy
That is sexy and sounds great!
Link for the exhaust??
What Bassani Xhaust is that? Part number would greatly help. Keep it up your guys 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Not sure of the part number but Bassani Road Rage Mid Length in Chrome!
Just put the stainless Bassani road rage 3 on my ‘21 FXLRS and absolutely love it
Stoked to hear it!
Is the basanni part number 1F72C?
Hit up Basanni to see what part number you'll need!
@@THRASHIN I confirmed the part number thank you! I bought a 24’ Road Glide this summer. I’ll be ordering some Thrashin gear/parts soon!
Love your videos Lance, keep up the great work, love TRASHIN⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡ - That VVT Trashin cover is SICK! 💥💥💥💥
That Bassini Pipe sounds Great....They make great quality pipes...I bought one for my old Victory Kingpin...It was the true dual Pro Street Turnout short pipe/muffler in one in Chrome....It would Roar when i would get on it....👍😎
Love the video but you should have shown how to remove the old exhaust gaskets , I was lucky to find a video on how to do it when i did my first one JS !
Diggin the Scooby Doo get up 🤌🏻✊🏻
Looks and sounds great brah, but will you ride all the way to Sturgis with no earplugs and a ½ helmet? 🤔😆 shaka! 🤙
It makes me happy, to see that you use other companies products as well as your own awesome job guys.
Thanks!
Bassani is best. Dyno proven.
They definitely sound amazing. Can almost tell it’s a bassani just from hearing it. I originally installed a mid length, but after dyno session decided to go full length. Ended up making more power with the full length. Loved the sound of the mid Bassain but ended up going with D&D Billet cat.
@@eastcoastganjafarmers85 the full length makes best power.
Donate to the me foundation lol. I need some thrashin parts on my 22 road glide Lance. Nice to see Cole with the crew. Was always my favorite supercross rider.
Man what’s up with that cam cover need that bad????
We're working on it! Keep an eye out!
So fire I’ll be patiently waiting my friend I’ll pay extra for sooner??!
The first time you start it with new pipes and you have your HELMET on!!??!!??
Safety first
Should have used a old Allen wrench and cut it down and use an ratcheting wrench on the other side for the bottom ghost pipe bracket
Check with All American Cycle in Miami Florida. They may have tuned one or two.
Is the engine management light staying on or can you clear the codes
30:30 did the cameraman almost become roadkill??
Did you guys tune it after the new exhaust?
We have not tuned it yet but we plan to once we put the bike back together!
What tune are you going with?
What bag is that on the risers? I just installed that same bar set up and want a bag that fits between the tank and bars.
Sounds and looks a million times better. By the way , the channel cycle fanatics, said he's going to copy everything you have done to that bike on his same 2024 ride, even mentioned your name, make him pay for the parts 😂.
Stoked! He's gonna love the set up!
Sounds badass, love my 2 into 1
Patiently waiting for Thrashin to make an exhaust for M8 touring 👀
That would be cool!
I haven't watched any of your content up to this point. The way the heading was worded along with sound check advertisement got my attention. After viewing this segment, I gave it a thumbs up and hit subscribe. Your discipline in following professional processes along with stating the tools required to accomplish the work get an applause from me. Good camera and audio work too. For 11 years I have been a teacher of proper maintenance, service, and repair procedures, and processes. You guys are on the right track. Please don't change what you have going on. It'll grow as the word gets out. People are hungry for the truth and want to find someone they can trust. When you gain their trust because, of your successes they can literally see on your channel, you're winning.
Thank you 🙏👊🏻
3’s a crowd😂
Whats the part number?
Good look n pipe
Hate the fact I found your channel!!! Just ordered 6.5 riser, floor boards, handlebar bags!!! Damn here I go in debt again!! The risers with the engraved flag as a Veteran it’s Bad ass!!! And Kelly in customer service is bad ass!!!
Hahah sorry man! Stoked to have you repping out products though! Thanks for the love!
Sounds amazing
remember the new exhaust is for "offroad" use only!!! LOL🤣
Hahaha
Buy the long neck Milwaukee electric ratchet for removal.
