@@psychedelicfright85 this windmill drains all the energy. its so strong. he still does it. a Doctor must see this and comment if it dangerous for the neck and spinal cord. for sure its not recommended for noobs. they will end up being paralyzed
I put Imperial Doom right up their with Effigy. I grew up around this time and I go back and forth between the two. Brutal as f***k and way ahead of their time.
Definitely a Sentinel Beast influence in their style. George must have decided fat is where it's at right after the phone call with Alex Webster. He wasn't fat until joining Cannibal Corpse. It's almost like they had a talk with him, and convinced him that they had to have a fat frontman
Being born at TGH and living here in the bay area for 60 years, I know Tampa Bay is the birthplace of Death Metal. I was at this show and all of the great early DM shows in the TB area including shows here at the Brass Mug, Ritz Theater, Cuban Club, etc. You old F__ks out there know what I am talking about. Also, I almost died from excitement when I heard George was taking over for Chris in Corpse. Barnes is great in the studio but George is the best frontman ever!!!
Tampa General Hospital T.G.H. I know a thing about those places you mentioned…..My old band “Gothic Sacrament” played there & too, the castle in YBOR City.HELLO
I have actually seen Corpsegrinder sing at the Brass Mug in another band besides Cannibal, but it wasn't THIS band or THIS Brass Mug! (This is before I got to Florida!)
@@chaosinception7982 The gig I saw with George was Dark Disciple, just a few years ago. He was subbing in for their regular lead singer. He and Demian are friends. I meant that the Mug has moved twice since it was on Fletcher in Tampa, where that Monstrosity gig was, and the non-Cannibal gig I saw was much more recent.
I think I saw Corpsegrinder’s wife Stacy in the front row in the purple shirt on the side. They started dating on April 22, 1988 and got married on the exact same day 10 years later that’s a record. 2 years is the most I plan on staying with a woman before I ask her to marry me.
My late pastor kicked the tires on his last one, wife #3, for five years before he tied it with her. They only got to spend the next five together. She succeeded him as pastor. Sometimes things just don't work out as one thinks they ought.
I get why George joined CC. Earning a great living doing the thing you love is anybody’s dream, but monstrosity are an endlessly better band than CC. Completely different level musicianship. It must’ve felt like a professional downgrade
i thought he was fast in the present, george's headbanging here is scary fast, truly amazing.
And also his neck isnt treetrunk massive yet in this video. I have become convinced that his neck got so massive through headbanging workout lmao
That is 💯 % correct
1:18 Definitive Inquisition
6:18 Vicious Mental Thirst
12:34 Immense Malignancy
16:52 Ceremonial Void
21:28 Darkest Dream
25:13 Horror Infinity
30:39 Burden of Evil
34:43 Final Cremation
38:40 Imperial Doom
His headbanging is more on time than any drummer
Georges is a master headbagner. He rules his world
Man look at baby George. This is awesome. Whoever uploaded this gem, thanks a million 🙏🏻
I love being from Tampa Bay, Florida... So many mermories....
This KILLS! Great old skool! Extreme talent here...I am 50 yrs young and still love this \m/ Cool to see a very young Corpsegrinder
Corpsegrinder Is a completely different person skinny
Though he still windmills the same, and has a more durable neck than anyone in the universe.
@@psychedelicfright85 this windmill drains all the energy. its so strong. he still does it. a Doctor must see this and comment if it dangerous for the neck and spinal cord. for sure its not recommended for noobs. they will end up being paralyzed
Lol this is exactly what I was thinking.
You call that skinny? He's shredded in this video 😂
@@annakessler9372look at his neck now he even said he was a thousand pounds lighter back then
First two albums are absolute death classics.
This band deserves the place in heaven \m/
aggreed Lee, Jon, George, Mark and Jason did a fantastic job
Corpsegrinders finest work Imperial Doom is a masterpiece
Thank you for uploading this gem.
Jesus christ, George's headbanging is way more faster here. Is his neck made out of titanium?
He is cooler then the best airco
Especially w/ the 😅 coming off…

Who would say in 1992 that this awesome big guy was going to fill in Chris Barnes' big shoes.
fuck yes, thank you for uploading this gem. Nice to see good old george messing with the crowd haha
I got a weather alert sms saying "BEWARE The Monstrosity comes to you!"
And I was like i'm DOOOOMED! 38:32

Next level headbanging.

Corpsegrinder is killing it
In case you're wondering, Lee has NOT gotten slower. :->
He's a great guitar player too.
@@WildChildMcCloud Yes, doing a fine job in Terrorizer these days.
Great performance, awsome, thanks for this video
I got the Horror Infinity demo at Ace Records a month before this show. Never saw them live but have been a fan ever since.
Meet “ SKID ROW” there. Jay Fernández from “BRUTALITY” used to work there after Brutality’s first album. Long story….
OMG look at how he headbanging!!! Never seen it before. Its so dangerous for a normal person. can cut the spinal cord in less than a sec... wow
He's been doing windmills for over 20 years.
He still do this until now
awesome.
BRUTALISM!
Man, Imperial Doom is beyond classic.
Mark, George, Jon, Jason and Lee!!!! 😎😎😎😎😎
EXCELENTE
25:07 sounds like George lets out a fart hahaha it's the guitar obviously but funny none the less

George headbanging is fast and brutal!😎🤘
i’ve gotten baked to this way too many times
Fkin death metal history, right here.
Жора Рыбкин в самом прайме 💣
The glory days of the death metal scene. Is that Jon Rubin on guitar and Mark v. Erp on bass by the way?
i think so. Gobel was just around for one show I think.
Wow
His neck grew 3 sizes that night. And Corpsegrinder was born to bring all the whos of whoville delight.
Nathan Explosion!

It's all the lyrics about human flesh. Made him hungry 😂
There were probably a lot of people I know at this show, but I hadn't moved to Florida yet.
И-и Фишер та-акой молодой и юный CC впереди!!!!!🤘
You are telling the future; lol!!!😝 😮
Enough wind for people watching them closely...🤣

Nice Goreaphobia shirt of corpsegrinder🤘🏼

Recently saw him live with Cannibal Corpse and he still head bangs just like that. His voice still sounded great.
Nesta apresentação estão com um guitarrista só........Jason Goble..........
I have actually seen Corpsegrinder sing at the Brass Mug in another band besides Cannibal, but it wasn't THIS band or THIS Brass Mug! (This is before I got to Florida!)
This is back when the Mug on Fletcher had their stage at the BACK!
George still had his Maryland "O" back then ;)
It was probably Corpse Grinder. Was his first band.

Heres a question! What shirt is young corpse grinder wearing? Any one recognize the logo? Is it Impetigo?
Goreaphobia

Mark Van Erp holmes😎
He should have stayed in Monstrosity they never recovered and Barnes rules in Corpse
Corpsegrinder with a normal sized neck??? I figured he was born neck first!
is that Jason Gobel on guitar?
No
Yes kids, there was a time when Monstrosity didn't suck and when Fisher was a good vocalist.
They don't suck now.

Impossible!
