Agreed indeed!!! A down to earth no big mouth cool guy.. ...and behind the kit Mr Carmine Appice is a real GIANT!!! ...my two favourite drummers from that era are Mr Ian Paice🔥🔥🔥 ...and Carmine 🔥🔥🔥
I'm a dedicated fan since the early Vanilla Fudge days. I was fortunate to meet him in 92 hes truly a great person .I have great respect for him and his drumming
One of the true inventors of Hard Rock and heavy metal drumming saying to have been inspired by jazzmen (great! That's honesty and creative artistry at their best!). Thank you Carmine, you're a real master (and for me also of Fusion and Funk style: "jazz-rock" (right?) and creative at the same time as Mitch Mitchell in Jimi Hendrix Experience )! "There is no favourable wind for someone who does not know where he is heading" Seneca Without Knowing the past, no progress is possible. Reaching to mix the two most opposite styles (as jazz and rock)in an art is the mark of complete mastery and it was here genuine, ingenious and creative not just a "collage". And that's not all: Carmine put a part of his awesome drumming knowledge and experience in an awesome successful true drumset method (not a classical drum method) . All my admiration, A French drumset teacher and author (who has written an Anglo-French awarded drumset method (Carmine is quoted in it among few historical drumset greats in all styles)).
How in the hell can he say the drummers from the early days of rock that played with little Richard, Chuck Berry werent really happening. Earl Palmer who played on 75% of Richards hits was the greatest rock and roll drummer. (NOT ROCK DRUMMING)
I love how humble he is! Much love!
he's super cool if you ever get a chance to meet him... one of the All-Time Greats!
