  • Look back on this day in 2013 when #TimBradley had his 2013 Fight of the Year, against Ruslan Provodnikov. #BradleyProvodnikov
Super middleweight contender Edgar "The Chosen One" Berlanga went the distance twice last year following 16 first-round stoppages to begin his pro career. After surgery to repair a torn biceps suffered last October against Marcelo Esteban Coceres, Berlanga (18-0, 16 KOs) will make his 2022 debut Saturday, March 19 in a 10-rounder against Steve Rolls (21-1, 12 KOs) at Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden.
The Brooklyn-born Berlanga is ready to begin a new knockout streak against Rolls, a Canadian veteran who has a pair of knockout wins since a 2019 TKO defeat to Gennadiy Golovkin.
The Night of Young Stars - #BerlangaRolls and Xander Zayas-Quincy LaVallais - will be broadcast live on ESPN & ESPN Deportes (simulcast on ESPN+) at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

Provodnikov Ruslan commented on this fight by saying that he was incredibly happy that he was given such an opponent.
He approached the fight as the most important thing in life and was ready to die in the ring.
That is why they don’t like such opponents; in this fight Bradley lost a little of his health)))

A banger. Bradley had the Holyfield-like ability to return fire while being semi-conscious.
Unfortunately, it took years from both fighters' lives. Ruslan said it was the first time he had pissed black at the urine test after the fight, and Bradley said in an interview that he had headaches and blurred speech for a month.
Provodnikov is a monster and Bradley has the heart of a lion. One of those fights you can watch over and over again.

Man I'm so tired of the whole boxing scene cause so many Boxers have been cheated out of Wins that it's just Crazy. Clearly Ruslan hit Bradley with two Rights which he had a clear delayed reaction to,then fell down from those hits and this old ass Ref said it was a slip but when Bradley tried to get up he falls down again..any Ref with common sense should've known he was added and should've been given a standing eight count. I remember this classic on the edge of your seat fight, Bradley had said in the second time he was out on his feet near Bob Arum side of the ring that the last punch on the right side of his head actually woke him up and cleared him up , Probably centered his brain for my lack of a better explanation, I do remember that and awhile later his trainer Joel Diaz wouldn’t work with him as he noticed early slurring and other symptoms of that war and Bradley took time away to be very fortunate and heal to compete again ! Hey guys watch the tough Russian warrior battle Lucas Mattysee ( spelled wrong) but you’ll find it, Great war also , loved boxing since I was a kid and miss how showtime and HBO and Top Rank and USA Fight nights really had the formula down during that era , They could learn today much from it.

Had it 8-4 Bradley. 115-112. It's crazy how much more damage Provodnikov did, but still couldn't win on points. Even if Provodnikov got credit for that knockdown in round 1, which in my opinion he should have, I'd still have Bradley up 114-112. Boxing's scoring methodology sometimes doesn't feel right. How much did Bradley pay the referee and the judges? It was a clear left punch that knocked Bradley out in the first round yet it wasn't counted as a knockdown which was supposed to be a 10-8 round for Ruslan. Then Bradley just managed to be on his feet up to the 12th winning by split decision? Gosh, boxing officials what kind of eyes did you use to view this fight? Why did you see it differently from how most people saw it at ringside and on television? You should come up with an explanation or quit judging altogether.

Rd 6 Ruslan has him hurt again...clearly a Ruslan round
Rd 12 should be a 10-8 round for Ruslan....for the knockdown.

If you look at the punch stats Bradley literally threw one thousand punches, he connected far more punches and won a few more rounds, that made up for the knockdowns

i see a lot of comments saying ruslan should've won..... boxings score system is by rounds. Ruslan won 1,2,6, maybe 11, and 12, that's a total of 5 rounds.
Bradley won 3,4,5,7,8,9, and 10 thats a total of 7 rounds. Also bradley is the one that adjusted and ruslan didn't

El ruso ganó la pelea que es esto por favor.,en varios round lo puso a bailar ballet.,le faltó finalizarlo pero como es que ganó el negro bailarín.,después de esto el negro se dedicó al ballet,es lo mejor que hace.

I remember how Roy jones jr was being very very biased towards bradely in this fight. Every time Provodnikov hurt him he said “Provodnikov is hurt to tho, trust me” or “Bradely shook it off so easy” so unprofessional

Provodnikov won that fight. The victory was stolen from Provodnikov and given to Bradley. The funny thing is that Bradley himself believed in his victory 😄😄😄

great fight, not so smart from Bradley to exchange with that beast. Bradley sure was all heart too but he was a boxer, he needed to be outside. Bradleys trainer says Bradley had to go to therapy for a couple of months after this fight. His balance was off, he couldnt coordinate, he couldnt even speak normally. It took a couple of months to get good and ready for the next fight.
