Where do you go for help with steroid psychosis??? I’ve had this for almost five months, anxiety, panic attacks, depression. My PCP gave me Ativan, and SSRIs. Still not better. Can someone help? The drug was prednisone. I was given this for a sinus infection. It’s been torture. I cry almost every day.
I was told it would go away in a couple of weeks. Yet, here I am at five months, I am weak, anxious, depressed and the medical community does not seem to know what to do.
My husband is going through this right now, it’s absolutely terrifying sad😢 they can’t fully take him off the steriods because he has a brain tumor but they have reduced as much as they can. I hope he comes out of it soon. He is taking very very high antipsychotic meds
If an injection of long acting steroids are given, how can the adverse effects of psychosis and visual hallucinations be resolved? Thank you, I hope you have a moment to reply to this question
I was prescribed Fluticasone Nasal Spray for nasal inflammation. I used it on & off for 3 months. I was also prescribed Prednisone, which I was only able to take for 6 days before stopping. Out of nowhere, I started experiencing anxiety/panic attacks, weakness, fatigue, psych episodes, body shakes/trembles, tingling in my hands, arms, legs & feet. It wasn’t until I stopped using Fluticasone for a few weeks & then started back using it that I realized it was what has caused my extreme anxiety & psych episodes. It has been 6 weeks since stopping Fluticasone. I’ve read that it can take up to 8 weeks to recover. Will I ever go back to normal?
yes it will Remember nasal spray of Fluticasone usually dont cause symptoms. Any time you deliver a drug with aerosol, complications are low. But you have taken Prednisone. That may be cause.

Are you till taking the steroid? If you are then taper it DON'T abruptly stop it. Usually you recover within 8 weeks or please consult your doctor.
