The Green Lantern Oath was there. Sinestro was great. The Guardians were there. Oa was there. Kilowog was there. Tomar Re was there. Carol Ferris was there. The origin with Abin Sur crashing and dying and giving Hal the ring was present and correct. Even Amanda Waller was there in a cameo. What did the film do wrong? As far as I can tell only Parallax was done wrong. So explain please.

I saw the trailer a few hours ago and thought the trailer was awful. What are they doing there?! I also do not like what appears to be the concept and plot of the show that the trailer is seemimgly presenting. If they removed the ring and didn't know it was DC, nobody would think it's a Green Lantern show. By the way, as Ryan notes, and I agree, the castings are actually good. This, however, is not good news because the talent will be wasted in what looks to be a slop story.
How Hal Jordan was portrayed in the trailer is what really irritated me before getting to the other problems. How are you suppose to like this version Hal Jordan when he thinks its reasonable to drive people off a cliff to activate their powers. If someone did that too me would hate their guts
I haven't seen the CGI Green Lanterns animated series yet. Please tell me that the old series is far better to watch? Hell, this makes Ryan Reynolds' Green Lantern movie look better.
It’s a lot of fun. I highly recommend it. The only thing you have to bear in mind is it got cancelled right as they were leading to something huge, so it never got the ending it deserved.

That’s what I’m saying, the fact that they’re sharing a ring between the two of them seems awkward. The ring chooses you when someone dies, that’s the best lore to go off of. The fact that they’re doing this bullshit lets me know that we’re about to get some quirky James gun change in the lore.

The whole idea of the Green Lanterns is that there are literally thousands of them working simultaneously, especially sector 2814 which has so many Green Lanterns lol. But I have no idea why they decided not to lean into that aspect.

I saw the trailer a few hours ago and thought the trailer was awful. What are they doing there?! I also do not like what appears to be the concept and plot of the show that the trailer is seemimgly presenting. If they removed the ring and didn't know it was DC, nobody would think it's a Green Lantern show.
By the way, as Ryan notes, and I agree, the castings are actually good. This, however, is not good news because the talent will be wasted in what looks to be a slop story.

It’s a lot of fun. I highly recommend it. The only thing you have to bear in mind is it got cancelled right as they were leading to something huge, so it never got the ending it deserved.

That’s what I’m saying, the fact that they’re sharing a ring between the two of them seems awkward. The ring chooses you when someone dies, that’s the best lore to go off of. The fact that they’re doing this bullshit lets me know that we’re about to get some quirky James gun change in the lore.
