- Some VR helicopter footage with the AH-64A using only Hydras and guns. Most of this was in RB, but I think a clip or 2 was done in Sim.

Finally someone who knows how to use the platform! People may hate helicopters but they don't realize how hard you have to work for kills when you only have those 2.75in rockets. Personally all I can hear in my mind as I watch this is betty saying "Rotor RPM High" over and over again. Also gotta say the man loves his petals with how he wips that tail around. you have to have more than a key board controls with that lol!

Ahhhh I hate helicopters, just because of how effective they are...but your gameplay takes effective to a whole other level

I've tried test flying Helicopters and there's just no way to get this level of smooth control using mouse and keyboard. I will forever be jealous.
Try mouse-joystick control mode and switch between full control/dampening modes to get maneuverability/accuracy accordingly. It's still harder than on a real HOTAS controller but using this control scheme can help you pilot your helicopter better.
I like that you actually get into the fight instead of sitting 4 or 5 k out tracking missiles in like a bitch. Always fun watching your vids.

I recommend Sim and ground arcade assault. Those are the 2 best modes for VR helis.
@@BruceLeeroy94 is the xbox controler enough to fly helis/planes? and what are you using the mouse for?
It is enough to fly them, but not enough to aim with gunners or ATGM view. I transition my right hand to the mouse to aim if I need to.

If u don’t mind, I’m wondering what hardware u have and what settings u play on. I’ve tried doing heli’s in VR and seem to get bad performance. Do you use a config file?
Also, how do you fire rocket salvos like that?
@@GristlyDread Rift S and an xbox controller. Graphics cars is a GTX 1080, I have an i7 processor, and 48gb of ram. I use the rocket series key binding.

was experimenting with these same helicopters today and noticed your crosshairs are accurate for the rocket impact points. Mine arent so wondering if that was something you have done to make this so?

@@denyslv most of these don't have ballistic and from most the cockpits ballistics doesn't do anything, you need to go third person
What helicopter are you talking about? Also I forgot that when you turn on a ballistic computer it shows only in 3rd person, but you can bind the key to "Change sight mode" and it will change the sight in the cockpit.
