I miss the West Village of yore. Granted I know it's either a Saturday or Sunday in this vid but I feel the majority of people in this video are dressed pretty slovenly the first half. This used to be such a fashion forward neighborhood. Even on the weekends. Now it seems like it's all trust fund kids who dress like they're still living in their dorm in college.

So much car HONKING!! In Seattle, Washington it’s ILLEGAL to honk your car horn unless it’s an EMERGENCY. People get tickets there for honking because you’re just impatient.
This is perfect, My dream was to live in a country where I could leave the house without fear of being robbed or killed, because in Brazil you live in fear 24 hours a day, you can't even use your cell phone on the street, it sucks here. I wanted to live in the USA, even if it was to clean public bathrooms, at least I could live without fear of being robbed and killed.
I LOVE New York!!! I'll be in NYC in a couple of weeks. It's amazing to see people with light jackets and some in shorts and summer wear in April. Not so in Maine! Spring is only now beginning to appear here, but our short-sleeved days will come.
The way I enjoy every minutes of this tour today. I love NYC during spring 🌷🌼season so cool to see people going out and enjoy the sun 🌞 and wearing some color again. Oh I love this 🧡❤

Wow, I envy you the nice weather. 20 degrees, the green of the trees explodes and pushes the winter gray from the streets. I can only dream about that at the moment. On my island in the middle of the sea it is only 8 degrees 😬 and the first cherry trees are only now slowly starting to bloom. I no longer know what 20 degrees feels like and I long to sit outside and have dinner with friends again. A few days ago I had a dream, or rather a nightmare. Where's all the kids playing on bikes, hopscotch, jump roping. What about street musicians? Lacks a lot of age diversity. Kinda weird to see in a large city in midde of the day. Also shocked hardly anyone transit bikes, scooter nor skateboards. Cars take away the charm. They really should do like Europe where certain areas are closed to cars to encourage pedestrian/biker zones.
Wait there is no way there are full leaves on some of the trees already. Weird. There shouldn't even be buds yet. We have pretty much the exact same temperatures where I'm from in Canada (we were warmer the last few days) and not even buds yet.
Dear Alice, this time I prefer not to comment on the things you ate that have little or nothing to do with Italian food. Just reading the menu was enough for me to understand that they don't have the slightest culture regarding the ingredients and their use in Italian culinary art. I really liked the gardens and the care taken in growing many species of flowers. Spring knows how to fill New York with beauty. Nice walk, Alice, and see you next time. 🌹
Did I make a mistake?😔 But when I visited this place in Rome, the waiter told me that this sandwich was a Florentine sandwich. From what I can confirm, it seems to be true that this sandwich originated in Florence. Did that mean that this sandwich was not a Florentine sandwich, but that this business started in Florence?🤔🤔 Thank you again for your good comments and advice today.👍😘💖

The ingredients are used in combinations that you will never find in restaurants more attentive to high-level cuisine and you know that I am very careful even to correctly match the wine to the food. I have already explained to you what I think of those who write that one of the ingredients is truffle: if I use fish roe in a recipe and write on the menu that I use caviar I am being incorrect to say the least. Caviar is the eggs of a particular fish that lives in certain places, but there are many fish eggs on the market that cannot be sold as "caviar": ask Petrossian for information. For information: those that are sold are not "sandwiches" but can be called Focaccia, Schiacciata or other names that change based on a series of different factors. Every person is free to eat what he wants and where he wants, but I don't find pleasure in places like this or McDonald's. I don't deal professionally with wine or catering but I treat myself very well from this point of view. To close this speech I'm going to uncork a bottle of Sagrantino di Montefalco whose producer I won't name so as not to advertise but the bottle will be older than the first location of this Italian fast food chain and I will drink to your health.🌹🍷

Where's all the kids playing on bikes, hopscotch, jump roping. What about street musicians? Lacks a lot of age diversity. Kinda weird to see in a large city in midde of the day. Also shocked hardly anyone transit bikes, scooter nor skateboards. Cars take away the charm. They really should do like Europe where certain areas are closed to cars to encourage pedestrian/biker zones.

Wait there is no way there are full leaves on some of the trees already. Weird. There shouldn't even be buds yet. We have pretty much the exact same temperatures where I'm from in Canada (we were warmer the last few days) and not even buds yet.

Dear Alice, this time I prefer not to comment on the things you ate that have little or nothing to do with Italian food.
Just reading the menu was enough for me to understand that they don't have the slightest culture regarding the ingredients and their use in Italian culinary art.
I really liked the gardens and the care taken in growing many species of flowers.
Spring knows how to fill New York with beauty.

From what I can confirm, it seems to be true that this sandwich originated in Florence.
Did that mean that this sandwich was not a Florentine sandwich, but that this business started in Florence?🤔🤔

@@WalkingAlice Dear Alice, the first restaurant of this chain was opened in Florence in 1989 and was successful among young people and tourists but does not represent the tradition of Italian catering.
The ingredients are used in combinations that you will never find in restaurants more attentive to high-level cuisine and you know that I am very careful even to correctly match the wine to the food.
I have already explained to you what I think of those who write that one of the ingredients is truffle: if I use fish roe in a recipe and write on the menu that I use caviar I am being incorrect to say the least.
Caviar is the eggs of a particular fish that lives in certain places, but there are many fish eggs on the market that cannot be sold as "caviar": ask Petrossian for information.
For information: those that are sold are not "sandwiches" but can be called Focaccia, Schiacciata or other names that change based on a series of different factors.
Every person is free to eat what he wants and where he wants, but I don't find pleasure in places like this or McDonald's.
I don't deal professionally with wine or catering but I treat myself very well from this point of view.
To close this speech I'm going to uncork a bottle of Sagrantino di Montefalco whose producer I won't name so as not to advertise but the bottle will be older than the first location of this Italian fast food chain and I will drink to your health.🌹🍷

튤립을 네덜란드보다 더 많이 볼 수 있는 곳 웨스트빌리지. 매년 툴립 축제가 있어서 그런지 여긴 정말 예쁜 튤립으로 가득해서 너무 아름다웠습니다... 오늘 갑자기 꽃가게를 가얄 것 같은~
정말 봄기운을 맘껏 누린 날이었네요. 모든 시민이 다 나온 것 같았어요. 특히 이 거리엔 꽃만큼 예쁜 젊은이들로 가득차 있었구요. 봄 찾아 온 제비 떼처럼 저마다 즐겁게 재잘재잘ㅋㅋㅋ 오늘 옷에 봄 향기 가득 밴 채로 집에 들어온 것 같네요

Thank you Alice for these lovely walks… used to visit NYC as a younger woman and always wanted to live in NYC… was married there in 1964 in a small chapel in the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church… My granddaughter just got a job and moved there… at age 23 and each time I look at your beautiful videos, I picture her living in and learning NYC❤
