Let me just say one more thing... I'm from NY where west indians are everywhere but now I live in VA where there's west indians sprinkled here and there. When I mentioned those A.A. that look down on us.. I mean they care much about our cultures. It's very rare I get an A.A who wants to find out about my background (parents are haitian btw) and when I read some of these comments where we aren't showing each other love. It really saddened me. Let's celebrate each other west indians!
@RunmanJr2 since you insist on being technical, I'll be blunt. What i meant that it was rehearsed, meant that it wasnt natural, it was too forced almost as though the dancer was trying too much. Your point about she wasn't trying to do "trini WINING" (please get it right) is null and void because it is a TRINI song, so unless she had plans to belly dance to the song or do the running man, dancing to this song would entail some sort of wining motion.
ICanDBooking used the same choreography. Their video came out a year later than Shakira Marshall's own. However they do credit Kira as the choreographer.
Why are beefing? Can't we west indians get along? It's sad... You know a lot of African Americans look down on us and we are figthing each other. Can't we enjoy the fact that these women are dancing sexy but not sleazy like we see some women do to west indian music. Yes maybe you might have one that's better than the others but overall they killed it. I can't see watching any of one of these females and not wanting to get up and dance myself. They did their thing! That dance choreo was hot!
