I'll stick to my ole fashioned mix by hand method. I hate unnecessary cleaning 😊
I love the soap dispenser though ❤

You could keep a cup of isopropyl alcohol to spin the mixer in after you’ve used it. Lovely dispenser ❤

Soap dispenser came out great! I'm on the fence with the mixer. Cleaning it seems a bit difficult. I already get lazy about cleaning the regular mixer paddle! I wish I could remember which resin artist suggested this but use Gorilla Glue duct tape together those little pieces of resin that never want to come off. I've been using it a d it definitely makes cleaning molds, siliconemats, etc easier.

Beautiful soap dispenser! I really love it!❤ I’m afraid I won’t be investing in the mixer. Too much faffing around to clean, but thank you for the demonstration Louise. 👍☺️🇬🇧

Your Moms birthday present turned out beautiful! I wouldn’t have thought that those colors would look so great together. I hope she has a wonderful 80th birthday! My Mom gave the best hugs. I miss her and her hugs everyday.
Let’s Resin’s mixer looks like it works really well. I think they should add a handle to the top so it could be used with larger mixes. I just mixed up 66oz. a few days ago and that would’ve been very helpful. If you filled up one of the mixing cups with isopropyl alcohol and let the mixer run in it for a few minutes, it would probably clean it completely. Then you could just store the alcohol for the next time. I’d imagine you could probably get a few uses out of it. I’m always happy to see a new video of yours!😊

Thanks for your videos, I'm getting started with resin and appreciate your delivery and format - as an autistic person, I appreciate succinct, easy going instructions without the jibber jabber so I thank you for that! On this machine demo, I was thinking, I have purchased a smaller free standing paddle style mixer and was contemplating using a cup of alcohol to clean the paddles afterwards - an alcohol bath so to speak - So I'd mix the resin in one cup, then mix the paddles in a cup of isopropyl, and then place them in a third cup to spin and shake off the excess. Do you think that could work for this mixer too, albeit a larger volume of alcohol?! Surely the alcohol could also then be reused over and over for a while. What do you think. Also, fyi, none of the featured products you have links to are available it seems.

Yes to all your Qs. Get a 5L container of isopropyl if you want to do this. Though you'd need a tall, large-necked container with a lid for the IA not to degrade if you want to keep it for soaking a mixer.
Honestly, the mixer at c£40 seems like a complete waste of time and money to me, though. I'd rather spend two mins mixing and then just wipe my silicone mixing paddle.

What a cute soap dispenser, it came out really well. Excellent tips on the resin mixer. Cleaning up is just a pin with resin. thank you!!

It seems like you dont need to scrape the sides. I'm assuming that the paddles touch the sides? Seems like a wonderful machine.

How much resin did it lose doing the spin clean cycle? Thank you for testing x

I think I will continue to mix by hand as that will annoy me no end with the cleaning.

Oh Louise, you are such a sweetheart. I always enjoy your tutorials. The soap dispenser turned out so beautiful. Happy 80th to your precious Mum. Thankyou for showing us the mixer. I agree, I love that there are no cords attached. Really looking forward to seeing what you make next for your darling Mum. Big hugs from Western Australia ❤

LOVE that beautiful soap dispenser, Louise! Just beautiful! 😍 Green, brown, and copper/bronze? Yes, please, and thank you! An early Happy Birthday to your dear Mum! 💕😊
The mixing tool...well, if I did lots of mixing, it would come in very handy. My first thought was, "Ooof...what a cleaning job!" I could see where having a lidded jar of Iso Alc would be a must! Maybe a Mason™ jar? I do like the cordless feature, for sure.

As I use a resin 3d printer I have a wash machine to clean the excess resin off before curing.
Could you not find a glass jar (Kilner?) that fits the mixer paddle to fill with IPA and spin it in that to clean it?

I haven't seen that used by anyone yet. That is really cool! I would find that very handy. I have arthritis in my wrists so this would be really great for me. It looks like wiping it off afterwards would be the best way to go. Thank you for the demonstration! I really like the soap dispenser that you made your mom. I'm sure she'll love it!
