Turn down 20 million dollars arguing you "have a family to feed" is still one of the craziest statements I've ever heard.

Most of these guys are like regular people they earn more but they spend it all the same instead of an Audi or bmw they have rolles Royce’s and instead of a 200k home they have a 30 million home etc

It was poorly worded but not nearly as awful a comment as people make it out to be. He helped get the T-Wolves to #1 in the West (an enormous feat for them) & was expecting much more $ than that. His comment was simply hyperbole.

I think Sprewell's career peaked when he was playing in New York. He was way more popular than he ever was in Golden State and the Knicks were in some deep playoff runs. His role was no longer the go-to guy but the Knicks' perimeter defender and fast break specialist. Unfortunately I think he was never apologetic about hitting PJ Carlesimo, and it seems to be a trait shared among many volatile players...

There was also an incident in 1994 when Sprewell's four-year-old daughter was mauled by one of his two pet pit bulls and Sprewell fought against the dog being destroyed. That's right, he cared more about the welfare of his dogs than his own daughter's safety.

This is a really interesting series, if they aren't already on your mind to do Zaza Pachulia, for i mean it's in your intros not really having much talent but out there to injure others or Vlade Divac floping. I don't have really any incidents to bring up but they overall for their time in the league seemed to be really hated.

Make 100,000,000 dollars in his 13 year career. 6 years it's gone. OK. He is now worth 150,000. The average Joe has to work 50 years to make 2 million total. Sprewell was making 7+ million a year. He was making ceo type wages. 175 times the average Joe and he has nothing now. Wow. I think he might have done something wrong. It's not his fault of course. I've always had a love/hate thing for Spree. Not a great defender. Strong offensive player. Poor attitude that makes brothas look bad. He did things like breaking his hand in a fight at his yacht then lying about it, then choking his coach cuz he didn't like what he heard. To be honest, as much as I appreciate what he brought to the Knicks when he was there, he deserved to no longer get any love from the league. He had the nerve to actaully think he was worth more than 7M/year. Good riddance, Spree.

I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan. Japanese-American and male. Gary Payton should be on your list. I loved Payton and Kemp, in 1993-96. But, after Kemp sabotaged the team, and then finding out years later that Gary Payton had a problem with EVERY teammate, I realized what a prick he was! He made Rashard Lewis cry during practice, for starters. It's one thing to have problems with teammates like Kendall Gill, Vincent Askew, Ricky PIerce, and Frank Brokuwski. But, when Hersey Hawkins (Hersey Hawkins!), Nate McMillan, and Sam Perkins (Sam Perkins!) come out later, and say that they did NOT enjoy playing with Gary Payton, that proves that PAYTON was the problem! I rooted for the 2005-06 Dallas Mavericks to win the NBA Finals, because I did NOT want Gary Payton and Jason Williams to win rings!
