oh my god there's something REALLY hilarious about the abruptness with which the explosion happens when the... uh... 'ball'? 'orb'? goes down past the bottom of the screen. and then it just cuts immediately away to the somber screen of miserable failure for added effect.
Alex Knowles [Tid] i love it. it's so needless for the ENTIRE SCREEN TO EXPLODE when orb falls but you know, they went that extra step and that's what makes Firestriker such a great game.
_Competitive (or cooperative) Fumbling_ would make a great thread title for this LP

Enjoyed this video a great deal, it was more consistently funny throughout and "more funnier" at times than I necessarily expect on a randomly selected video of yours, recently speaking. You two had a good chemistry going and were kind of relaxing into a similar state of mind, partially due to Gigi getting to successfully demonstrate her competence, I think.
I really didn't like that outro, it felt nervously insincere at first and then on the tail of that the relaxing tempo and seeming genuine friendliness kinda strikes you in the face like a splash of cold water. I almost feel I would like that last bit, if not for the preceding.
AugustVonpetersborg i appreciate criticism, but don't you think perhaps this comment moves into the territory of scrutiny for scrutiny's sake? i'm very glad you enjoyed the video on the whole, but the backhanded compliments toward both gigi and i are unnecessary. you sound like you're trying to neg me
i am doing my best here. this outro is my second time recording something alone from a script - it's difficult and it takes some practice. they will definitely sound better over time! please try to word your comments in slightly more constructive ways in the future. even if you may not have intended it, your words are kind of condescending and over-analytical. we're genuinely close friends having a fun and relaxing time together; we're not performance artists or actors trying to con you on anything.

I'm super sorry that I came off as negative. I really enjoyed this and I'm sorry that I ended up discomforting or bothering you with my comments. Your typical content doesn't need to have its quality called into question, and it wan't my intention. You make good videos, period. They are not my absolute standout favorites but I am subscribed to you and enjoy them quite a bit, always get a laugh. I've been subscribed to you for a long time and come back largely because of your great chemistry with your friends, this is true of a lot of channels I watch.
I'm sorry if you were aware of the specific problems I was trying to communicate about the outro, or that they came off as gibberish, I was trying to relay the essence of what I felt worked and did not, but perhaps in unhelpful language? I know it is...an event, as you just start something like lone-script recording, I didn't mean to imply it was an easy thing to just pick up and do. Of course it is practice that would be most helpful at this point and not criticism, constructive or otherwise. So yeah, apologies for triggering your "this person is an asshole" sense with my phrasing choices, apologies for probably continuing to do that and not honestly represent my support. Good luck and good bye.
AugustVonpetersborg thank you, i really do appreciate this a lot more. i truly do welcome criticism, but the language of the previous comment felt (as you noted) very unhelpful.
i definitely do welcome knowing what does and doesn't work! i was actually a little unsure about that bit you pointed out so i'll keep it in mind for future recordings! i feel like the dynamic of "silly joke -> genuine thanks" isn't a wrong approach and i think i'll nail it a bit better with more practice.
thank you for being subscribed for so long! it really does mean a lot to me that there are people who have been enjoying our videos for years.

Palisagrus Power Hour i actually liked the outro tbh. it was mellow and friendly, it's a much more pleasant way of asking pals to subscribe and share than the usual 'don't forget to like/comment/subcribe.' that people say as if it's some important honorific youtube obligation i might accidentally not do
