Hi Dave🖐. I think Ken asked for the numbers to be kept low for his first event so there wasn’t any publicity and was very much invitation only. It was such a success I think there will definitely be more and probably open to all next time🤞👍
It was a really great day with some amazing koi up for sale at amazing prices (and still with some haggling room) as well as 10% off all the dry goods…….and free refreshments 😊👍
Welcome to the grow on club - it’s great fun. Spend more time at the grow on than the main pond. Cracking goshiki. Can’t beat Hiroi for quality. What a venue!!!!!
Hi Jim🖐. An absolutely fantastic event made even better by the people that attended😊. I obviously completely overspent but didn’t get too much of a telling off by Clare as she loved the Goshiki😊. Did you pick anything up?
Great to see you (and Phil W) at the event👍. Those little grow ons were little gems so managed to limit myself to 6 but could easily have bought more😊👍
Great to see you again Cashy, what a fantastic day. I don’t think anyone went home disappointed……..oh, not quit true, someone bought the Tancho Kajaku that I was waiting for Dave to bowl up for me…….but no hard feelings🤔🤣😂🤣👍
Thank you Skeggy, the Goshiki looked even better when I got it home…….so happy and extremely grateful to Ken for cutting me such a great deal😊👍. Did you come away with anything?
Great Goshiki, will be interesting to see how the grow ons develop - will you heat and enclose as a 'large bubble' for winter? Only been to Koi Collection once - rained then, I thought it was only Manchester where it always rained - but great looking fish and good prices.
Thank you👍. She has settled in nicely and will be treated like a princess 😊. Pond will be heated and covers will keep her toasty and allow me to count feeding all year👍. Koi Collection is a fantastic place with a huge selection of koi of all sizes and for all prices, definitely worth a visit😊👍
@@TelfordKoiPondI've been to see your pond so I know of the ASHP, was thinking more of heating the grow on pond - small enough to create a 'greenhouse' type bubble enclosing it? The growth throughout the winter should be maintained I'd expect.
Hi Nick🖐. I’m more than happy to tell you what I do but please follow the instructions on the packet of whatever PP you buy as the dosage may vary. How I do it- use a standard blue 80cm rectangular koi bowl and add a measured amount of water (depends on the size of the fish but make sure it is deep enough to completely cover them when they go in). Then mix pp powder/crystals in a jug with boiling water (put an air stone in there for about 20 mins to make sure all is fully dissolved before adding it into the blue bowl of water) . The PP should be 1 gram for every 10 litres of water you put in the blue bowl. Add the fully mixed PP into the blue bowl and mix again for a minute or two. Put the air stone in the blue bowl and leave it in there as long as the koi is. Put the koi in the blue bowl of PP for a maximum of 7 minutes. If the koi looks to be in a lot of distress, take him out. I normally but a big koi net over the bowl to prevent the koi jumping out. Watch the koi for the duration of the treatment. After the 7 mins, I normally put the koi into a 2nd koi bowl full of pond water for 5 mins but others simply put the koi in the pond. It’s as simple as that😊. Please note that the above is simply what I do, I would recommend that you always follow the instructions on the packet of whatever treatment you are using. I hope this helps😊👍
Cracking Goshiki Phil.
