*Link's Journal: Cycle 14 -- Day 1*
Today is an early day for me, since this is the cycle I've set to find the missing groom Kafei. From the information I've gathered, he's the son of the town's mayor, so that's where I began my search. The mayor himself seemed...busy...so I settled for speaking with his wife, Madame Aroma, who luckily thought I was a person-finder she'd hired to find Kafei. She seemed naturally distraught over her son's disappearance, having (supposedly) lost weight for lack of food due to the stress, and lent me a Mask modeled after his face.
People began to talk the moment I wore the Kafei mask around them, though most were horrendously unhelpful, and Cremia seemed downright angry about it too. I'd nearly given up when I decided to go to the Stock Pot Inn, and managed to see Anju receive a mysterious letter from an anonymous sender. With Tatl's encouragement, I asked Anju about Kafei, and she simply told me to meet her in the Inn's kitchen at 11:30PM (Making this note to remind myself). To pass the time, I decided to visit Anju's grandmother, who told me the story behind the Carnival of Time and even a bit about the Four Giants I've been saving. Apparently, they're seen as the gods of Termina, like the Golden Goddesses back home, though I doubt the Goddesses have ever needed to be rescued from shadowy menace or ever will need said rescuing...
I kept my meeting with Anju, who told me the letter had come from Kafei himself. After telling me this news, she had me send a letter of her own through their postal service (Whose sheer tenacity genuinely makes me wonder if they take the place of divine heroes here in Termina), saying that I should be able to meet the man himself after he gets the letter. The intel I gathered today suggested Kafei would be found by the town's Laundry Pool, so I'm going to spend the night there.
*Link's Journal: Cycle 14 -- Day 2*
I didn't realize until this Cycle just how much rain there is on the 2nd Day, when I had to wait at the Laundry Pool until 3PM for the postman to deliver the mail. Weirdly enough, when the postman rang the bell, the only person to answer was a kid wearing a Keaton mask. All the same, I figured Kafei would be in the same building the kid came from, so I snuck in while he was getting the mail... No one. There wasn't a single soul in the building besides me and Tatl. When the kid came back in, he actually didn't seem surprised to see me, in fact he almost sounded happy to see me. When the boy took of his mask, the truth of the matter was revealed...
He was like me, Kafei had been forced into the form of a young boy by the Skull Kid, then had his wedding mask stolen by a thief, that damnable Sakon no doubt. The reason he disappeared is because he'd apparently been spending the past month searching for Sakon's base to find the mask. Before continuing on his personal quest, he told me to give Anju a pendant, likely as proof that Kafei was not only alive, but still faithful to her, a physical promise that he would be there for the wedding.
That night, I went to the Stock Pot Inn and gave Anju the pendant, though I did overhear her and her mother arguing about whether she should stay and wait for Kafei or simply run and hide at the Ranch. To pass the time, and get my mind off the issue of Anju's fate, I visited her grandmother again to learn more about the Giants. She told me what seemed to be Termina's creation story, with each of the Giants guarding the world from their own places. What stood out to me most, though, was a part where she described an imp that had been a friend to the Giants and was saddened by their departure, and took out his anger on the people of Termina. When the Giants heard of the imp's anger hurting the people of Termina, they banished him from the world on pain of death.
I don't know why, but the imp in the tale sounded oddly...familiar...
*Link's Journal: Cycle 14 -- Day 3*
Today is the day I show Kafei to Sakon's base, and we raid it. He wasn't home though, only the Curiosity Shop's owner was there, who gave me a package that I was to deliver to Madame Aroma. He also told me that Kafei had seen Sakon at the Curiosity Shop last night, and rushed off to chase him down. I just hope that lovestruck fool doesn't get himself killed...
I found Kafei at Ikana Canyon, as I figured, and he showed me exactly where Sakon's storehouse is, and told me that it could only be opened by Sakon himself. Sakon only showed up when the sun was beginning to set, thankfully he didn't see us. The moment the sleazy bastard opened the door, we rushed in. There in plain sight was Kafei's wedding mask, so out in the open that it could only be a trap. But before I could tell him, Kafei sprang the trap, the fool of a man, and we had to rush through a series of puzzles and death traps to get the mask back before the trap sent it down a shaft to who-knows-where. We only managed to get to the mask just as it was teetering over the edge. Somehow, the labyrinthine hideout took us until midnight to navigate, even while we rushed towards the mask.
The journey back to town felt even longer than usual, and I swear I could hear the terrified voices of Termina's people while I ran, alongside the voices of those who were comforting their loved ones so they wouldn't panic... By the time I got back, I'd nearly forgotten about the package Kafei wanted to give his mother. I decided to have the postman deliver it, just to help take his mind off the impending apocalypse. I followed him to the Milk Bar, where Madame Aroma saw me and practically begged me to flee the town, until the postman showed up and gave her the package. She ordered the postman to flee, then recognized me and gave me a bottle of Chateau Romani on the house (Hylia knows I could use it right about now). I managed to catch the postman outside the bar before he fled town too, he seemed happy to finally have only his own schedule to worry about, and he gave me his postman hat as a sign of thanks.
I went back to the inn to make sure Anju was still there. Thankfully, she was, having decided to wait as long as she needs to for Kafei to arrive. He took his sweet-ass time, but Kafei managed to make it before the moon fell. There, in that room in a rundown inn in the final hours before the world ended, two lovers married, uniting their wedding masks into one. They gave me the mask, as thanks for reuniting them, and told me to take refuge somewhere. I simply told them that I plan on attending their wedding the next day. The confused looks on their faces were priceless.
To the clock tower I go, this time with a bloody vendetta to settle. The moment the Skull Kid called for the moon to fall, I played the Giants' song, the Oath to Order. Just as they promised, the Giants arrived and stopped the moon's crash landing with their bare hands. The strange thing about it, though, was that the Skull Kid passed out the moment I played the song, yet the malice surrounding him remained... In fact, it seemed to only grow stronger... Somewhere in the back of my mind, I recalled the Mask Salesman talking about the horrific power of Majora's Mask... I began to wonder who was _really_ causing all the havoc in Termina...
My suspicions came true when the mask spoke, then detached itself from the still unconscious Skull Kid before ascending into the moon, possessing it, and continuing the paused collision. After a brief argument, Tatl and I gave chase, following the Mask into the moon, to a place I could only describe as a dreamscape, where time itself slows to a crawl...
The only living things in this place are a group of 5 children, wearing the remains of the beasts I'd killed in the Temples, all playing around a massive tree in the middle of an infinite field of grass. The children asked questions of me, questions I never thought I'd be asked before, let alone answer. They also asked for my masks, and before I knew what was happening, I was giving them all my masks aside from the ones I got from Darmani, Mikau, and the Deku Butler's son. By the time I got to the tree, only one child remained, one who looked upset that the others had vanished, this one wore Majora's Mask. He saw that I didn't have any masks, so he gave me one, a mask that looked like... me... me as I was when I fought _HIM._ Then the child transported me to some sort of arena with the only fixture within being Majora's Mask front and center.
Now, when I put on masks that make me transform, they usually feel like I'm wearing the skin of someone else, one of the many reasons I hate wearing them. However, when I wore the mask the child gave me, it felt... right. Like I was supposed to be in this new form. I felt as I did back in the ruins of Hyrule Castle. I don't know how long I fought the beast, whether it was a day, a month, or even just a mere minute, all I know is that the more I fought it, the more it twisted itself in an attempt to outdo me. But the power from my mask was one that was surpassed only by the Triforce in my hand, and with their powers combined, I laid the abomination Majora low.
*Link's Journal: **-Cycle 14 - Day 4-** Day 43*
It is done. When I came to, I was in the field outside Clock Town, the moon was gone, and the sun was shining on a new day. The Skull Kid was there, having regained his former personality. In that moment, we recognized each other from the Lost Woods. I'd sold him a mask shaped like a skull just last year (stiffed me half the bill too). To think all this crap started because he wanted a new mask to make himself look tough... What else should I've expected from a fellow forest-dweller though?
The Mask Salesman found Majora's Mask not too far from where I was. Evidently, the spirit that haunted the mask had been exorcised. When he left, he said something that I won't soon forget: "Whenever there is a meeting, a parting is sure to follow. However, that parting need not last forever... Whether a parting be forever or merely for a short time... That is up to you."
Since the moon isn't coming down on the world, it looks like the Carnival is in full swing. And I immediately remembered that I had a concert to play in _and_ a wedding to attend. I just hope I have enough time now to make both meetings. It's funny, I've spent over a month reliving the same 3 days over and over, and only _now_ am I worried about time... It's good to have a sense of stability now... I'll see you soon enough, Navi. I just hope you're willing to wait for this lazy boy to find his way to you until then.

And now here it is, what would make the Series Complete, would be the Bloopers and Outtakes, where so much humor happens, be it little mistakes, or stuff like that, so much humor and enjoyment, but also, shows how much effort everyone put into making the Dub possible, but I have to say, this one really stands out among the others, you all continue doing a wonderful job, I look forward to much more.
