regarding Jill and her two berets, in the military you are initially given two pieces of headgear. one is meant for every day wear and the other one is meant for ceremonies and inspections or other special occasions. That one was kept neat and clean. so that means the one in the house was the one she wore every day and the one she kept in the office was for special occasions.
1:53 - Jill wasn't the first playable female character in a Survival Horror game. 1992's Alone In The Dark featured Emily Hartwood, and the forerunner to Resident Evil/Biohazard 1, "Sweet Home" featured three playable female characters.
Yeah, almost every time something is said the be the "first" whatever, it never really is, it's always about what qualifies into the classification always in subjective manner every time
You can also play as Rebecca Chambers temporarily during Chris' campaign, but yeah Akiko Hayakawa, Asuka, Emi Hoshino, Emily Hartwood, and Jennifer Simpson are all playable female characters from Survival Horror titles that predate Resident Evil.
I haven’t played any of the newer games after Resident Evil 4, so I find it so crazy how Jill has never interacted with Leon, Claire, or Ada in any game. The closest Jill has gotten to “knowing” about Ada is through Jon’s letter in Resident Evil 1. Leon and Claire only come close to “knowing” about Jill through examining her desk and the S.T.A.R.S photo in RE2. It’s weird how they all exist in the same universe and survived the same events of Raccoon City, but never crossed paths.
You definitely need to experience the newer ones to, just to simply experience it, even if only once 🤜🤛 they are all kinda amazing even with how ridiculous they get ❤️
It's heavily implied in RE2 remake that Jill might have actually known Claire. In Chris' letter, we can see him referring to her by name instead of "my sister" indicating that they must've known each other in some way. Ada makes more sense since she's like, a spy/secret agent..? Leon is definitely a weird one, though
@@riatorex8722 in RE 3 REMAKE, Jill has some pictures on the wall in her apartment. While they're not particularly clear, most show groups of 2-3 people with a 1-2 feminine figures and one masculine one. I personally decide to believe this is a combo of Chris, Jill, and Claire.
People dont undestand that silencers dont work as an shows or games, the fire still sounds just not as loud, but still sound, the wesker gun actually is a good representation of a real silencer
With Jill, she had immunity from the Progenitor, T-virus with the Nemesis, and the T-Abyss virus, making her more immune to Wesker's experiments. Literally surviving what Lisa Trevors couldn't.

I enjoyed the individual videos. It's nice to see all the information gathered in one place. Although, as an addendum to the "Chris's smoking habit" fact, he is shown openly lighting a cigarette and smoking in preparation for the "briefly play as Chris and Hound Wolf Squad" segment before the final battle with Mother Miranda in RE8.
Thanks for compiling all these facts about the characters, setting, and more from both the original and the remake. As a die-hard fan, I thought I knew everything about RE1, but you've managed to surprise me with some new insights. Can't wait to dive back into the Spencer Mansion with all this fresh info in mind!
Chris also smoked a cigarette late into RE8 Face for Chris in RE5, RE6 and movie Vandetta had become too iconic that Capcom had to scrap the RE7 version of Chris and go back to his last design. (personally 7's Chris look always looked bad like "Where is his chin??" bad, Didn't have the chiselled features of the boulder punching chris.)
Interesting thing about the Ozarks mountain is it's actually just a plateau. The entire ozarks is a massive chunk of limestone bedrock that is elevated above the region around it. It shields the people nearby from the worst parts of an earthquake of the new madrid fault line. The people would feel it for sure. Geological surveys show that people would do well. It won't be at a catastrophic level because the limestone bedrock will act like a buffer absorbing the energy shocks from the earthquake. The majority of the damage is going to be North East & South.
@@LocseryuOfficial from Re4 to what we have today the nuance was dropped hard, the protagonists are not survivors anymore, they are action movie heroes spouting one liners after each kill. I personally think that Gelzer, from the Beta Characters portion, was reworked/reimagined into the RE Vendetta CG film as the character Diego while he was infected with his restraining suit on, both of them have that "Bane" look.
actually in the new CG movie "resident evil :death island" Jill appeared in there and also interacting with Leon, interestingly they have some relations because of some dialogues and it's also her first time appearing in a CG movie
You missed a fact of Rebecca Chambers: In Resident Evil Vendetta, she is voiced by Erin Cahill, who played Jen Scotts/ Time Force Pink Ranger in Power Rangers Time Force.
And also missed former Mighty Morphin Black Ranger, Zeo Power Ranger 4 Green, and Green Turbo Ranger, Johnny Yong Bosch (Adam Park), as Brad Vickers on Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles. 👍🏿
I actually liked Jull's look in the OG RE3. Yeah, a little fanservice-y, but it's not like it really took anything away from her character really. She was still the same tough as nails Jill Valentine here. Granted, I do think jeans would've been the more logical choice to rock in a zombie infested hellscape... but let's be real. If that were a thing that legit happened, and unless you were wearing your spare set of totally tactical and biohazard friendly gear.. Jill could've run around Racoon City totally naked with her tits jiggling for all the world to see and I would've been like, 'Shit, Nemesis!" Choice of clothing doesn't much matter unless you rocked out the body armor and ammo laden gear right from the start. And I mean, what's wrong with rocking the casual dress at home. Anyway, sorry for the rant, but ppl whining about how a character looks is just dumb and I honestly hate most so-called 'professional' game reviewers and critics.
Someone actually couculated the rock punching scene, by looking at which rock it is, its height, chris's strength and what situation it is. He came to the conclusion that it was actually possible
I remember first playing it in 1996, game was scary / fun / hard with no guide / had me mesmerised wanting a sequel. Still play it in 2022 on my Super Console X / the remake on ps4
It's actually not impossible to move a boulder like he did mainly because the boulder was sitting on a slop so it was off balanced and rather easy to push and yes punch and move
You said Jill was the first playable woman in a survival horror but you play as a girl in the survival horror game “Clock Tower” on the NES which came out a year before resident evil
There are a few types of rock that are so porous and air filled that they are relatively light, so theoretically it could be possible to punch a rock into rolling, also if their was a jet of air flowing from underneath it would take a fraction of the strength…
