Thanks so much for sharing. Customer service is everything. If they don't stand by their product they can keep it. Hawk, Big Game, Muddy. Got it.

I have one and it came without the handle. I contacted the Ebay Seller and he sent a Handle Overnight to me, I had it the next day to go hunting the following day. I didn't even think to contact Hawk Customer service. I'm sure he just pulled it from another box he had in inventory.

I purchased this cart last year. I was missing a few small parts. Had some male shot parts laying around and it’s been working fine. Never even tried to use their customer service. So the cart is absolutely amazing. Pulled the cart with a 170lb buck about half a mile through hills, ditches, over logs(bout 20 of them) and this thing never missed a beat. Rolled easy. Never tipped. The only thing you need to know is loading it up it rolls so easy it’s crazy trying to slide the deer into it. Don’t forget rope to lash the deer down cause it will slide around and even right out of the cart. I am glad I got it and will never use a 2 wheeled cart again as long as I have this available.

I've used mine to haul out 2 deer so far and I agree. Its amazing how easy it is with this cart.

An honest reviewer...not many left out there. Thanks! I've also run into that - companies not keeping repair parts - not a good business model.

Good review. Too bad that the customer service sucks. I have a Hawk tree climber, the Hawk warbird LT, and I absolutely love it. I did buy it second hand for a great price so I’ve never had to deal with customer service. I had been eyeing this cart but after hearing your story i am now starting to re think it.

Was looking to get one of these. After hearing about quality control issues and them not sending out replacement parts, I think I'll pass. Thanks.

I got burned last season when I pre ordered their updated Helium climbing sticks. Shipped like two weeks later than other online vendors that were selling them for around $60 cheaper. They arrived with broken parts. They did replace the parts but it took two phone calls to get enough replacements. Last Hawk product I buy.

That’s crazy man. I feel your pain. Hawke is now selling saddles to saddle hunters. That’s a no go for me. I’m not an expert saddle hunter but if you have a bad seam or a linemen’s loop not sewn correctly. You may not live to contact customer service. If you can’t put the parts in a box to ship. I’ve gotta question the quality control.

Great review. Hawk used to be a privately owned Michigan based company where you could show up to their HQ in Frankenmuth and be taken care of. Unfortunately, they sold out to GSM Outdoors based out of Texas. GSM owns about 30+ different brands including Muddy, Hawk, Big Game, Birchwood Casey, Walker's, Stealth Cam, HME, and many more commonly found items on big box retailer shelves. I'll probably buy this cart because it works and I can deal with the little issues you did as well. But hopefully this helps inform potential consumers so they can at least make an educated choice.

I receive mine today. I purchased it off of Ebay for $129.99 before tax. Free freight. The unit went together fine and everything works great.
I did not come with any clips to lock the back in like you added to yours, but they didn't show these in the parts list either. I can see that being an extra if you feel you need to lock that in but I put my daughter in it and pushed and pulled her around, and it never tried to flip up on me.
Thanks for your review. I'm happy with mine so far. Unfortunately, deer season is coming to an end and I have already tagged out on bucks, so my motivation to go get a doe is very low. Hopefully, I'll get to put mine to use next season.

I had a bad experience with Hawk too. I bought a tree stand and once I opened the box it had no seat pad in the box. I emailed them and they never responded and I just bought a lone wolf pad on the stand. But yeah they don’t help anyone from what I understand

Makes me disappointed. I really like Hawk Stands. They have been working on hunting blinds for the last few years. I’ll see a blind of theirs I really like from ata show coverage, go to their website, says “preorder only”. A while goes by, look for reviews. No one buys them or at least reviews them and there isn’t any offer for preorders and they are off the website. Next year, a slightly different blind/design, preorder only.
I really like their according style hard body transportable blind idea, I tear up hub blinds too often. But I’m nervous of ordering a blind and it never showing up

I think it's easier to go across logs if you go diagonally. Once one wheel is over everything else follows easier. A couple of tie downs to hold cargo in place is probably a good idea.

Same! This one looks perfect, the video of the guy in the Canadian Rockies going over rocks and logs up in the mountains makes me want to get this thing, though, I am little hesitant hearing about missing parts and shitty customer service. But I still might get one of these.

    • @craig5649

@@foxmulder7616 I assembled mine today and didn't have any missing parts. All of the hardware was in a heavy plastic bag and inside a box. The box it comes in is weak. It had a couple of holes from rough handling I assume. Once it's all together it's a really nice cart. The instructions are pretty bad. The exploded diagrams don't show enough detail.

Customer Service? What a joke. Broke a wheel on mine. Phone calls, E-mails, at least two dealers in town and no response or help. Why would I or anyone else buy a product from a company like this? Hillman in Great Falls, Montana

Customer service (Or lack there of) can really kill a company.
I am dealing with the same kind of thing with a security camera issue. Emailed several times over the last 1.5/2 months with no response. Tried their online chat, never have enough time to wait my turn. (Always over 15 people in line ahead of me). Then they want to know how my experience was! S.m.h.

Joe Parker I ended up purchasing a mountain bike for extended range hunting trips. I’m going to purchase a trailer for it and use it as a game cart instead. Even if I end up pushing the bike pulling the trailer with a deer it will still be more convenient than just a handcart and I can still use it for recreational/camping trips with the gf. Makes better sense

That's why I don't like buying "some assembly required" from Amazon or Ebay. Buy it from a local retailer who will back up the product. If it is Chinese junk then call it out for cheap import crap.

Hawk is now owned by GSM OUTDOORS. They also own Stealth Cam, Hunter Specialties, Walkers, Cyclops, Muddy, Crossfire, Scent-A-Way, Big Game, Boss Buck, Birchwood Casey, Scent Slammer, SME, Wayne Carlton's Calls, Viking Solutions, Buckbomb, Tekmat, American Hunter, NAP, Ammo Pal, Bullseye, Johnny Stewart, Coyote Light, HME, Skull, Western Rivers, G-Outdoors, Down & Out Blinds. All these companies were bought by a large sporting good company due to their valued names. Then the products are outsoursed to china and the quality goes down and the customer service is downgraded and the name is exploited. But the common hunter doesn't know that and still thinks that they are getting a high quality product from a independant company. There are several other large sporting good companies who have bought out and own other smaller companies. I tend to stay away from these companies and buy my hunting products from smaller independant companies.
