Amazing video!! X26 is one of my favourite routes as it is very scenic and, as you said, it's the longest route! Also because it has great B9TLs which are all being purposefully refurbished!
Compared with another person's film in the other direction and a few years back, the traffic seems getting considerably worse. I wonder how many of these cars would be rid of if the X26 corridor is a railway / tramway route...
The problem is, the roads are simply not wide enough - especially after New Malden. A road supposed to be a wide motorway has only two lanes going either way, causing large traffic problems. The issue gets even worse post-Sutton, because the roads are even narrower shadowed by the long suburban houses covering the sides. That road is supposed to be connecting Sutton and Croydon, thus a popular route. When it gets to central Croydon it gets even worse - and this is a problem for all bus routes in Croydon - the trams absolutely ruin the traffic. Personally I feel trams do not help the transport at all, simply due to the fact that the railings cover the road. I'm so gutted to see that Sutton is actually looking like getting a full-on-road tramlink. It's complete bollocks and it's going to destroy the traffic. Obviously I like the idea of Northern completing a journey to Sutton Station through the Thameslink railway already going there, but I just would prefer no extension at all if all Sutton's going to get is a tramlink. Heck, when I compare the numbers now, 164 goes to Morden faster than what the trams would! It's absolutely gibberish.
i put in the comments on the full thrash on the x26 diversion on the m25 i said you could do a route visual of the x26 you said that someone else would do a visual of the x26 and now you have done that.
They should of made this either metroline London United or possibly tower transit bcoz no go ahead / Metrobuses go round those areas as well as the n22 witch goes fulwell

The 726 was limited stop, but more in the sense like the 607, missing out a few stops then stopping at some random stop where no one wants to go.

The X26 was absolutely crap before Go-Ahead took over. It had some shitty Mercedes buses with no back door.
The B9TL’s that are getting refurbed are getting their back door taken out and the B5LH in this video isn’t even allocated to the route.
And also the scent in there was disgusting. Thank god for GoAhead bc (not) Quality Line could not handle it
