i love this song too, but would you please help me with something. there's this video of a keyboard and all of its songs and one of the songs or several of the songs sound like they might be bollywood songs, and i have been unable to find the song playing by my previous search for bollywood songs using that scale and my knowledge of ragas. this key board plays the first song in g, but i can not be sure if that is the right key. and it may not even be a bollywood song. it's just a guess.i'm an american who likes to study different cultures and it sounds like it might ;. here is the video. Excellent singing by Chitraji……. Hope she has found complete peace of mind as the Time has passed …..& is constantly passing …. Something in her voice and looks,& I assume in her Personality that is deeply appealing feminine eliment! She has expressed it in her singing …so effectively! Not many female Singers have that special quality! Wishing her the best of everything!
Chitraji,aapko pata hi nahi hoga,kitne log aapko sunte hai,abhi mein 62 yrs ka hun,20 saal ka tha jab college me tab pehli baar suna tha,kabhi comments nahi kiya,aise hi bahut log aapko baar baar sunte hai,par samne nahi aate.lataji ke barabar maanta hun,wo alag hai aap alag ho,apne apne zoner hai.

Chitra Singh's voice creates a strange emotion. The scent of hyacinth flowers in the early morning and the time of sunrise, listening her ghazals make a person's heart very immotional.

अभी अभी मैंने ये गज़ल पहली बार सुनी और सुनते वक़्त मैं अपनी आंखें मूँद कर ये मेहसूस कर रहा था कि मैं किसी एक अँधेरे रास्ते के कोई एक सफ़र में हूं और सचमुच कानों पर ऐसा कुछ सुनाई देता है..

Gosh this is such a difficult song to sing. Only Chitrajee can do justice. It's supposed to be Raag Kirvani, but I'm fumbling. And then she's not a trained classical singer, but how she navigates those complicated ascents and descents. OMG

@@satyajeetkaushik8740 Yes indeed. Jagjit gave her the most difficult ghazals to sing. In an interview Chitraji said she just learnt listening to him compose, not sitting with him for rehearsals.

ECHOES is a legendary album and no other album by duo is so subtle and has many colours of ghazals, bought it 's 2 lp set of record at the time of release but the recording was not good, but still it remains legendary album I have not tired even after listening to the ghazals of this album during last 32 years , other ghazals by chitra ji are equally good, she also did magic in THE UNFORGETTABLES, MILESTONE , MAIN AUR MERI TANHAI
So thankful to my parents for sending me these cassettes when they were first released in 1987. I lived off these songs in my loneliness.
