This was my first introduction to Bill Burr. The Monday after this happened on the Opie and Anthony show. They were talking about it because it was their traveling show that bill was on.
Opie and Anthony with Jim Norton was a radio show that was edgelord to the extreme. Like Howard stern but more offensive. Anyways they were know for being the battleground for east coast and especially new york comics. It was offensive, improve, topical takes with the emphasis on roasting eachot. It was like a blender of horrific, abusive chaos but it produced the best comics on that side of the US over the last 20 years. The show itself imploded in a dramatic inferno, like radio shows often do, but it was a special period of time more dont and cant appreciate.
You look Great. The story behind this: he was on a 2 hour tour and like 50 people had gone up before him and Philly was being Philly so by the time he got on stage he was revved up and quote "decided to hurt everything they loved"

He stayed up there with thousands of people rueing his stage time, and roasted every one of them... he went after every single thing philly could even claim as a cultural adoption and destroyed it.
