Nice segmented design! I've seen quite a few of those ball socket jointed snake-type ships in the Cosmoteer discord server or used by some players in PvP (I discovered this tech myself back in classic and made a huge ''mine train'' that was connected by weird interconnecting hooks, but the ball socket mechanism is far more efficient and compact). Great spin on the concept, I love how much like an actual train it looks like with those paired deck cannon modules per segment.
Thank you, the good thing about these ships is, you can add as many segments in between as you want, so its very versatile! I wish you a great day, thanks for the support!
Change the direction of your deck connons to face forwards and back, that way when you have an enemy on the side you can have all 4 cannons from each part firing.
Cool ship! I never thought of trying something like this. When watching the combat, I would recommend not moving and rotating the camera as much. It is very difficult to follow the action with the view zooming and zipping around.
I have a cool design decision for your next creation. How about creating a spinning station that relies on its spin to both negate cooldowns of shields/weapons, and maintain both active at all times? I've previously managed to create one myself, the way I managed to make the station spin is by making an action group with most of the engines, and activating them manually instead of ordering the station to move.
@@7DeadlyJinxs Hi there, Sounds great, I can definitely imagine something like a spinning ship with railguns! Thanks for your help and have a nice day! :D
one small ship with a great reverse speed and heavy blasters could take this out with ease. Also, the connection from the head to the first link should be the obvious target to take this thing out.
Nice! I once saw something similar in space engineers, year ago. Someone built a tunneling "worm" in order to tunnel under an enemy base, in a pvp match. Good job though.
WHat, this might be an solution from an startegy problem that i had: I wanted to do fleet action with an coordinated battle line in mind like WWI battleships in jutland. But because the formations are quite rigid it would not work quite well
Hey Vy, yeah it took me some time to figure out a working connection, but it is still a little fragile, sometimes when other ships bump into mine it completely falls apart XD You can even see that happening within video… Thanks for your support and have a nice weekend!
you can actually add what i like to call a drive core to each segment to make each of them contribute thrust whale the noose steers. just set up some group controls and you can pilot it with numbers. it is more difficult than using the standard piloting method but it works.
@@Gobbo-Gamer for connections why not use tractor beams a little bit of finagling with orientation of parts and stuff like that and you can take advantage of the fact that tractor beams push is stronger than its Pole you'll just have to get used to deeper connection points
@@neacronbrony3189 yes you are totally right, I was thinking about tractor beams as well, the problem with tractor beams is: they can sometimes mess up your MEGA-ship connection and break it, even when its meant to strengthen it, so I usually avoid them in my MEGA-ship designs… And this MEGA-ship was already a little bit unstable without Tractor Beams XD

Thanks for the nice idea!
Maunual control would be good with that

Hey there,
I haven’t even considered that, so thanks for this improvement :D

Hey zeroundying,
yes I will try to find a good angle next time and don‘t move as much.
Thanks for your help and have a good day!
super cool and interesting design, Im surprised by how maneuverable this thing is.
It is beautiful.
Thank you! 😊

Hi,
thank you, its nice to see that people appreciate my builds, even though this one is not the perfect fighter 😁

wow it really is a cool idea and works surprisingly so well. However if the snake is too long, it'd move like a snail lol
