We've had our head down

FoodShare SC is feeding a need in our communities. Fresh food boxes are distributed every other week, to families looking for a great value by accessible means.
While we've had our heads down, creating stable fresh food access points, our future home has been under construction. Renovation began in April of 2020 with simple demolition and new infrastructure support for the foundation of our mothership. Material shortages and increasing construction costs have currently halted the project. We have done our best to protect our participants from the increased cost of food but have taken a hit to our shelter as the world responds to the supply chain crisis. We find ourselves in need of our closest allies to get this project over the finish line. This facility will truly be the epicenter of all FoodShare programs across the state; where medical learners and community members come together to improve healthcare communication, where new partners are trained to During this time of unprecedented need, we are turning to our neighbors for support, to invite you into the work being done for the residents of Columbia and South Carolina.
