Thanks so much for posting! I've gone for 20 years until the pandemic and was wondering if the bridge was still intact. Great to see the beach and trail again
Was an amazing experience, The bridge has been redone somewhat recently but the trail still sucks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Perhaps its time for you to pay it another visit
Just did this last summer, such an amazing beach! It was so dry, no water at the creek but fortunately we had enough water for dinner and breakfast. Barely! Still muddy in august, lol!
Great video thanks! Where is the trailhead? I'm a little familiar with Bamfield. And how long did it take to get out? Reasonabe to plan to do it out and back in an afternoon?
Sorry for the delayed reply, the trail head is about 5 minutes out of Bamfield. It's pretty swampy.... yup could do it in and out in a day but the Trail wasn't good. At least when I was there last
Its defiantly a muddy trail, packing a board in may be a challenge but anything is doable lol. I would say the surf on a typical day there wouldn't be worth the effort!
@@IslandUncharted Good to know, thanks for the reply! Do you recommend any beaches nearby for surf? I'll be in the area during summer and I'm trying to decide if its worth bringing a board along.
I am not certain, but I feel like it's maintained by the same crew that does the maintaince for the northern most section of the WCT, which would be a priority. On a side note, you're totally right, it's bad, like break your ankle bad

I remember going to this beautiful beach in the 1990’s. Stayed for three weeks….Bliss.
It is a truly amazing beach
Nice camera work!
Thank you sir! I feel like I'm getting better lol

Great video. Trail starts in my back yard 👍
FYI it’s pronounced “Key-a”
Key-a was one of my most memorable hikes, truly beautiful
This looks like a fun dive into the mud!
Worth bringing a surfboard?

Hey, great video. Just to confirm: you need a Parks Canada pass to visit this beach, right ?
Thank you!!! It is within the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve so yes.
@@IslandUncharted Thanks. Just bought a discovery pass. Hope it is not too muddy when I get there
The trail goes through the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. Parks Canada have done absolutely nothing to maintain the trail - it's a disgrace.
