So I’m a longtime rec, overnight, have a solo canoe. Been thinking a Katana or IK for ex. I have not counted out a 12.5 Or 14.5 for my local river w a class 2. Not saying creeking it. River with a few class 1 and 2s.
@@MarkFletcher Sorry for missing these comments...it is indeed a Werner Stikine when you can see the white edge. I use that most times I'm going to be interacting with rocks. In the surf sequences I'm usually using a Werner Ikelos, I much prefer it for touring and surfing. I use one piece shafts as the joint always eventually fail for me. Thanks for the kind words.
This is the small 14.5. It's a very lively kayak and paddles "shorter" than it's length. Great for dynamic and mixed paddling, capable of everything but covering distance with efficiency and/or speed. Given it's good play characteristics, this last should be no surprise.
That's some serious action!
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Nice skills Tom.
i wanna try! Lets surf Bo sometime. I have an alchemy 14s totally curious how they compare.

Impressive surfing skills
Hi, great video. What camera mount you use for this?
Crazy.
Nice video Tom. What paddle were you using? I like the look of it.
I'm not Tom and I know nothing about paddles, but it looks like one of these! www.wernerpaddles.com/paddles/coastal-play/rock-garden

I like mine, pretty fast boat, enough rocker to turn easily for its 14.5' length.
