I really like the new RX. It should continue to be a huge seller for Lexus. My biggest complaint is not with the car but how they do the trim levels and options. Based on the pre-order guide, there are 6 trim levels and several options for each trim level. For example, the Premium+ trim level (my favorite) has 10 additional options. I much prefer how Acura does it with the MDX. So much simpler and typically more affordable. I would prefer for see the same 6 trim levels but with most or all of the options for that trim level included.
Just got the base RX 2024. I have no complaints and it's more than enough for my family's needs. I got an amazing deal at the dealer for 54,000 OTD as longest I finance with them and traded in my old NX with their dealer. It's a night and day difference between this car and my older NX300H.

I just ordered this model but with 14 inch screen, so I’m glad you made this video. Thankfully, I’m subscribed to your channel because this video doesn’t come up when you do a search for 2023 rx350.
Look absolutely stunning. My only concern is that Lexus dealership have been marking up their new vehicles between 10 to 20 grand. I can't see paying markup on this vehicle.

That white RX you reviewed was not a base model, that was a “premium” model because it had ventilated front seats and driver seat memory which are not available on a base trim. And yes, “multi zone” climate control is standard.

I’ll probably end up purchasing the Premium, but I’m not so sure about the NuLuxe seating. I prefer leather. I usually keep my cars for 10 years. Any idea how it holds up compared to leather?
Nuluxe in theory holds up better than leather. It's more resistant to wear and tear but not as soft as leather typically. I usually can't tell the difference
I recently traded in a 2015 ES 350 with Nuluxe and it still looked brand new on the interior. Not a single crack or wrinkle. They’re also really comfortable and soft. Nuluxe is definitely one of the best imitation leathers out there.

If you look at historical differences in prices between ICE RXs and hybrid versions, payback with inevitable rises in fuel costs was less than 5-7 years at average driven distances. Also keep in mind that owners are keeping their vehicles longer. We've owned our RX400h for 17+ years now. It has paid its extra cost back, long ago.

I will miss the cruise control stick. I usually only use my left hand to drive. Now I have to look at the buttons while putting on my right hand to cancel, very nervous and it’s even dangerous for me.
@@KuyaArbee Not really. You will still get dings above and below the moldings if you rely on the moldings instead of always avoiding parking in tight spaces. They will not line up perfectly with where other car doors will hit the vehicle. You would probably need 3 moldings at different levels. They are just a tacky money grab from the dealer.

Love the new design! I had a 2020 RX as a rental and though it was too big for me, I am leaning towards the RZ after the lease is up on my UXh. Please keep us updated about the new RZ300e, I am really looking forward to hearing about it and more affordable than the RZ450e.
He didn’t really show us what was configurable in the cluster. According to Lexus, a 7” multi-information display is standard. The only other unique cluster listed is for the F-sport models.
Love the design of this car. Although, I wish the made model was a multi-spoke design as opposed to the star design. A nice multi-spoke always looks more premium.
My local dealership just started taking reservations for their incoming 2023 RX’s. They wanted to charge us over $80k ($15k market adj.) for a 2023 RX350h Luxury. We declined.

The V6 engine does have some advantages over a turbo 4-cylinder; it is smoother running and quieter, and many V6 engines don’t require premium fuel like most turbo 4-cylinders do (for example the 3.6l V6 in the Cadillac XT5 and XT6.
@@yonglo7559 All the luxury brand turbo 4-cylinders require premium fuel. You may be able to run regular fuel but what they don’t tell you is that the horsepower will be reduced substantially! Ford and Lincoln at least tell you this in the fine print!

The NX hybrid, like your RAV hybrid gets far better mileage than non-hybrid SUVs. And with gas prices still sky-high, why would you switch to an ICE vehicle?

So who is to blame for proliferation of four-bangers in luxury automobiles? US EPA? CAFE? "We're doing it because the Germans are doing it". I've been in luxury brands with four bangers and their presence is immediately known the instant the start button is pressed. No amount of sound insulation, active engine mounts nor augmented sound can conceal the fact. There's something in it for the automakers: 33% fewer pistons, valves, ignition, etc. over a V6. Is the purchasing public more concerned about the I.T. in the car? Are the engine qualities all about the horsepower and torque figures printed in the brochure? Four bangers belong in Corolloas and Civics. I'll be looking for the previous generation with Toyota's silky-smooth V6.
I agree 100%! A 60 degree naturally aspirated V6 is inherently smoother running and quieter than an inline turbo 4-cyl by design. Those are two very important qualities for a luxury vehicle. One could make the fuel economy argument but, in this case the combined fuel economy is the same! Lexus has said the move to the 4cyl was for lower emissions but, who knows for sure.
People don’t want to spend $50K snd up For a 4 cylinder Lexus. Not smooth and refined enough for the money. I think many people will be skipping these and jumping into EVs instead.

That was not a base model….it was a “premium” trim model.

I had to replace the center console 3 times due to cracking of the NuLuxe interior fake leather.

I’d definitely opt for the side mouldings. They look good plus offer at least a bit of protection.
The RX450h makes much more sense, especially with still sky-high fuel prices. It is one of the best hybrid SUVs ever made.
Except I'm expecting it to cost about $20k more than what you see here... Don't think you'd be able to recoup that difference in gas prices.

Never ever ever get low profile wheels. The larger the wheelbase, may be more comfortable, but even with 19s on my MB, it's bumpy as hell.
The gauge cluster is customizable. You’re looking at the speedometer/tachometer option.
But it looks TERRIBLE. At least use the avalons 7in mid. That wouldn’t look out of place at all
