Over time he's grown more open and happy with music in general, and as such he decided to bring back Clarity with his own spin on it (just in time too, Clarity had it's 10 year anniversary just months prior). In the original, you may be able to pick out Porter's voice amongst the backing vocals in the chorus.
It's crazy how much the crowd voices end up adding to this. I really can't tell if it was natural or done by you that theres a distinct group of voices that create a higher and lower octave vocal track.
Haven't checked the project file in a while BUT I'm pretty sure that's all the natural crowd voices, we spliced together multiple crowd recordings from both Nurture Live and the afterparty show, I will say the afterparty recordings had a better tone overall (probably because it was more enclosed so the acoustics captured a fuller sound); there is also the clarity isolated vocals (including the subtle background heeeeys etc from the original) playing in the background, and that's pitched up 4(?) semitones up to match the key of Porter's version, so that could be the source of the higher octave tone, but for the most part the crowd is carrying the tone on it's own which is awesome ✦

I was gonna comment this same thing, the mixing/sequencing in this recreation is a lot cleaner and nicer than the actual line in audio version lol. But I guess that makes sense considering one was performed live and the other had time to focus on mixing
@@ethi_music Thanks! We went through the effort of replicating the live instruments with vsts (even the drums!), so that probably helped brighten the overall sound to a more studio-esque quality, at least somewhat
