      @Pushinghard101 honestly you wouldn't be disappointed with the X4 Rotor head. I've tried it on all my Flywing models and can honestly say it improves the flight quality on every one of them. I have a feeling I'll be using this setup up a more regular basis.... If you go down this route you'll need the 117mm version for the scale models or the 101mm for FW450 (Inc Airwolf) 👍.

    👍🏼 Smooth as ice. Flies very stable looks like I’ll be ordering a 4 blade rotor. Great location for flying. Weather also looks good. Haven’t been able to fly mine for some time. Cloudy very winding and been raining every other day.

      @thatsmyrc that's the first chance I've had in weeks! Also the last chance too! Lol I literally had a 4hr window of which the winds were below 15mph! Already they are back upto 20+mph and getting stronger everyday! 50-60 mph due by end of week, really does get frustrating. You won't be disappointed with the x4 Rotor especially on the Huey, I'd say that the model that benefits the most from the x4 rotor is definitely the Huey. 👍

      @ weather has been the same for me here near two months of it. When it does show a break I can’t get the window to fly. I just ordered up two 4/ blades heads 👍🏼

      @thatsmyrc not fun this time of year! I need to move further south! Lol.... my window was between 9am till 11 am so was out first thing, thankfully i have time on my hands with xmas break! Great choice with ordering a x4 rotor just make sure you've ordered the 117mm version as the 101mm will only fit the fw450.... 👍

      @thatsmyrc That is great service! I still average a 2-4 week wait for parts! Gets frustrating at times 🤣. We do have new stockists in the UK and I'm informed that a container of parts is on the way, can't wait. Best of luck with the installation. If your fitting on the Huey then I found the following adjustments to make my Huey fly really well. First off lower headspeed to a maximum of 65% (this is a must to protect esc ) and she should fly really well. Try that first, when I done that it flew lovely but when I lowered swash gain to 20% and self stabilisation to 30% it was amazing! That is the best setup I've been comfortable with, you might well prefer another set-up as we all have our own preferences but for me that was my sweet spot. That was the setup I had when you said she was as nimble as a hummingbird! 🤣.
      I have now tried X2 Rotor and X4 Rotor in the Airwolf, Bell 206 V3, Huey UH1 V4 and FW450 V3 and that setup there on my Huey is my favourite Flying machine, none of the others feel as good as my Huey with that set-up. It's the best! LoL

    I'm torn about this, as I think 4 blades are totally cool, yet, I've never ever seen a Bell 206 with a 4 bladed head IRL. Just looks weird...cool as hell, but weird. lol
    Little bit of left and right eh??...;) Good thing ya got the up n down correct.
    Pretty damned cool though!

    • @Tucker_T
      @Tucker_T  5 дней назад

      @nsbob70 the 4 blade rotor is the same on Huey and Bell 222 too, not scale as none of them have 4 blades. It's more about performance than looks.
      I was wandering how long it would take before the left/right thing was mentioned!!! You win the prize!! 🤣

    Great video Charlie, i’m now totally convinced to add the Bell 206 to my collection after Mike and your footage. I’m really interested in how you’ve set up the runcam and will add the message in H1 page.

      @78jalisco at the moment I don't have a video on installing the x4 rotor it really is simple but I'm sure I can edit a quick video as it's pretty straight forward. Thanks for input, I'll do my best to get one uploaded, shouldn't take long. 👍

    What would happen if at 100% power instead of the 65%? Have a 4 blade rtf ordered & wondering if I have to check the settings, Thanks

    • @Tucker_T
      @Tucker_T  20 дней назад +1

      @FLYRCc your likely to burn the esc out at 100% headspeed with X4 Rotor. This rotor creates more lift and draws more amps so it's best to reduce the headspeed. In general most flywing helicopters will come with a factory headspeed of 75%. The general rule when fitting the X4 Rotor is to lower headspeed by 10%. Definitely check the settings before you fly. My Huey got delivered with a 75% headspeed and I didn't adjust it. My esc lastest 3 flights before it died. After contacting Flywing they informed me the X4 should be run at 65% although mine got dispatched with a x4 rotor with a 75% headspeed!! So please do check this before you fly. Better safe than sorry. I can say at 65% it had plenty of power, you don't need more than that for scale flight. At 60% it was nice and gentle but slightly docile. Then at 65% it was perfect..... imo. 👍

    • @Tucker_T
      @Tucker_T  26 дней назад

      @MattFlyingFPV thanks Matt! I keep saying the same about my Airwolf project just never get round to doing it. Don't ask about runcam! Lol. It seems I put in the wrong sd card, every time I pressed start, the light would flash for 5 secs then go solid red again! So I didn't get any footage at all 🤣. Lesson learnt! I'll get it right one day..... Was just waiting for someone to ask 🙄🤪

      @ScottBusby-pf3np 26 дней назад +1

      Sometimes it does that. If you press record and wait 5 seconds and then stop. Then start record again you should be ok

    • @Tucker_T
      @Tucker_T  25 дней назад

      @ScottBusby-pf3np thanks for reply! I'll give that a go if this happens again. When I use a different sdcard it works everytime but the Samsung sd card I have is very temperamental and when I use my Amazon basic sd card it works flawlessly! All a learning curve, so fingers crossed next time I'll get some runcam footage... 👍

    What battery do you recommend? The stock flywing batteries aren't very reliable in my opinion. Thanks

    • @Tucker_T
      @Tucker_T  17 дней назад +1

      @Stankdog69 Personally I do use the stock batteries and never used anything else in these birds. I have 6x5000mah and 3x3000mah and as of yet haven't had any issues. I treat them all with respect, once depleted I will put them into a storage state until 24hrs before flying. So I do my upmost to care for them and as a result they are treating me well. With the 3000's I can easily get 15mins but never hit the 20min mark (but it's cold in the UK at the moment with the warmer weather it might increase times) with my 5000 packs (not in Bell 206) I easily get 20 mins 22 average and 26 at best (that was in summer).
      I'm always on the lookout for alternatives if you find any please do share. Its hard finding anything over a 2200mAh that'll fit in the Bell 206

    Hi there, good review, quick question, can you switch between gps and 3d mode while in flight or have you got yo land then switch, thanks ian

    • @Tucker_T
      @Tucker_T  5 дней назад

      @ianmounty no need to land to switch between flight modes. I wouldn't recommend changing to 3D mode in-flight unless your a very confident pilot. When going into 3d mode from any other flight mode (gps,atti,6g) the heli will descend very quickly! If your not prepared for this your very likely to crash. If your a novice flyer I recommend changing 3D mode to ATTI Mode. Change the value on 3d mode from 1000 to 1400. 👍

    • @ianmounty
      @ianmounty 5 дней назад +1

      @Tucker_T thanks for the reply, but iam am a experienced flyer, had quite a few nitro helis and 450 scale with fly bars.ive Not flown for about 10 years, except drones,I would be taking off in 3d and then change to gps mode you see if it got away form me, thanks again probably will buy one it looks a mazing 👍

    • @Tucker_T
      @Tucker_T  4 дня назад +1

      @ianmounty similar situation to me . I only started flying Heli's again within last 12 months and the gps feature is a great failsafe. Saved me on several occasions! 🤣. You can also activate a hard deck too. You can set it to whatever height you like. I beleive the stock height is set to 8m as soon as you go below this heli will automatically go into gps mode....

    what was the battery flight time for the different blades ?

    • @Tucker_T
      @Tucker_T  25 дней назад

      @stevethomas-cc5lz tbh the flight time isn't that different. Yes this x4 rotor will draw more power but at the same time you are running heli at a lower headspeed so it kinda balances out. I've only just started using the 3000's as all the other models will take the 5000mah battery. I am easily getting 15mins with the 3000 battery and x4 Rotor which is enough for me. 👍

    • @stevethomas-cc5lz

      @@Tucker_T ok. one more question. how do you change the head speed ? the H1 controls all that

    • @Tucker_T
      @Tucker_T  25 дней назад

      @stevethomas-cc5lz within the H1 software. Hook heli upto a computer and adjust the headspeed slider at the bottom of the first page. I wouldn't recommend going over 65% with the x4 Rotor, the general rule of thumb is to lower headspeed by 10% . I started at 60% on the bell which was fine although a little docile but once I went upto 65% then she felt great 👍
