Vision Zero Action Plan Community Meeting - January 23, 2024

The City of Cupertino is developing a Vision Zero Policy and Action Plan. This Plan will guide policies and programs with the goal of eliminating fatalities on Cupertino roadways. The City of Cupertino Vision Zero initiative strives to improve safety for everyone moving about the City, whether walking, biking, driving riding transit; and to improve the identified high-injury locations, all in an effort to prevent fatal crashes and severe injury. Zero Action Plan sets an ambitious long-term goal to eliminate traffic fatalities and serious injuries on Cupertino roadways. Vision Zero programs prioritize safety over other transportation goals, acknowledge that traffic fatalities and serious injuries are preventable, and incorporate a multidisciplinary Safe System approach.
