I'm rocking the snake skin myself on the ZX6R and would never use anything else. I had the stomp grips on my Daytona 675 and I found the dumps on those actually hurt with jeans on. Great review
I use Tech Specs C3 tank pads and love them. They have the raised bumps like the snake skin but are made of foam and are not as prominent as the snake skin. They work great for everyday riding and spirited riding. Best of both worlds.
I've never had any type of grip tape on my tank on any of my bikes. I have thought about getting some, but I don't really feel I need it. Maybe I'd think differently if I got some.....
There's one thing I don't get. When you're cornering in a bike, you want to lean into the curve, with your entire body, including torso, right? If so, why would you want extra grip in the torso (tank) area?

I ordered a set of the Snake Skins last week and I was told they were out of stock. I talked to the girl and mentioned I saw them on your vid and an hour later I got a shipping notification! You got some pull over there or what?? Lol
Just a side note - the guy in front does not lean into the corner but to the opposite side...

RSV's don't need them. The torque of a Falco though...

when your bike pulls hard and you have to hold on. and it takes less muscle to squeeze the tank with your legs in corners.
