Yeah, you're right. The ending did feel rushed. For me, the film starts to go down hill the moment they get to the army camp but i still like the film as a whole though.
Brilliant video, thank you so much for taking time in filming this masterpiece with that inspiring music. I love these ruins, I wish I could visit this place one day... really amazing, great work @Rich B ..Is that a Devil's Bridge @4:39?
+james nayci Thanks for the kind words. I was very lucky to get the whole place to myself that day. I had that section of the movie on my phone and tried to match it up as best as I could. I was losing light fast so I had to shoot quick. Wish I could have had more time. Maybe I should go back there and do another video but I can't think how I would make it different.
Rich B What camera brand were you using? You can only make it different by using the exact angles that have not been used in your current footage. I mean try to get a wide angle shoot of the ruins and match them with the scenes used by Danny Boyle's movie, I'm sure it will look brilliant, otherwise, if you are not living too far or if your had that adventurous spirit ,try to film it at night but I'm not sure you can do that, it may sound dangerous at some extent. Anyway, your current footage is fabulous.
i too am a massive fan of this movie, nice footage you got there m8, were abouts is Waverley Abbey, i wouldnt mind taking a drive there myself, im from near Liverpool
what a shame :-(. maybe a day out then when i go down to her sisters, what did you make of the ending, to me it felt rushed other than that amazing film, my favorite scene is the scene on the motorway leading into Waverley Abbey scene, music is fantastic in this film too
***** No permission needed. You can just turn up and walk around at your leisure. If you go at night you might meet some ghost hunters there as it's quite popular with the local paranormal groups apparently. Never been there at night myself. Might have to do that one day. Could be fun.
***** Ah well i'm not sure then. There is a number you can ring. I'm sure they can let you know or i guess you could take a chance and turn up. Chances are there will be visitors there though. The number can be found here - www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/waverley-abbey/prices-and-opening-times By the looks of it some filming is already taking place there right now. Interesting. I wonder what that's for? It's open again this Saturday though. Hope that helps.

Unfortunately it's owned by the National Trust so i don't think you'd be allowed to do that. Shame. I'd like to do that too. It's apparently supposed to be haunted. Sometimes you get paranormal groups up there doing their investigations.
I will visit that place someday 🖤, thanks for this
still coming back to watch and listen to this masterpiece, great video once again my friend ;-)
I grew up playing in these ruins :') I love this video so much :)
Thanks a lot! And cheers for checking it out. It was a lot of fun to make.
Hey thanks!
Yeah, as if it wasn't already spooky enough, it's supposed to be haunted too.
Thanks a lot for watching. Glad you enjoyed it.
Fantastic. Took a trip to the abbey from Shropshire, mainly down to the film and this video!
It is good but so are Lilleshall Abbey ruins.
Thanks a lot. Yeah, it's a really nice place to visit if you're ever in the area.
Seems a magic place

A very intresting place to visit.
Glad you enjoyed it. Waverley Abbey is about 1 mile south of Farnham, Surrey.
Quite a way from where you are unfortunately.

I have watched this movie, that's very creepy.
Creepy, I plan to visit it today to escape away from people infected by a world wide pandemic and a collapsing society. Now that's creepy.

Do you need permission to visit this place or can you just walk around it freely?

Rich B I was thinking of filming a small project there, so I don't know wether I'd need permission or not to record there with actors?

Why is the music sad 😭 😭
Because he knew there would be a world wide pandemic as depicted in the film 8 years ahead. I plan to visit today again.
