Lucky enough to be at Elland road for only my second time to see this match. The first time was the relegation season, a 0-0 draw to Brentford in February. This was one of the best nights of my life, Elland Road is truly a place like no other. I have a true love for this football club, more so than any other sports team I follow. The passion and culture is so unique and I feel very welcomed in the fanbase. -Jack, USA
Let me tell yo a little amusing story, I'm 76 now, but in 1962 as a child I had a plan. as a child, I decided to go see Leeds s Plymouth at Elland Rd though I didn't have any money. S, as I got near to the ground, for a child the entry fee was 1 shilling and 6 pence, so I placed myself in a the way of fans going to the match. Asking passers bye to help me find a sixpence that had fallen out of my pocket whilst sneezing and drawing my handkerchief. Well minored guys would drop a sixpence where I could find it, eventually I had the entry fee for the match. As I arrived at Elland Road with my 1 shilling and sixpence, A guy approached me and said, are you going into the match, I showed him my money and said yes. He said that he had met an old friend that had tickets elsewhere and would I like his ticket for the West Stand worth £25. I couldn't believe my luck. He gave me the ticket I was allowed entry and Leeds beat Plymouth 7-0. You can't make it up can you?
If I was Rooney, I'd have looked every player in the team straight in the eyes at half time, then said; "Play better or I'm off round your nans'." And just walked out the dressing room.
Good all round performance of the season so far what a cracking goal by Dan James for me goal of the month contender scoring from a corner an assist from Willy the second goal was good from Joel Piroe and the 3rd goal what a build up from Ao Tanaka 🇯🇵🎌 to Dan James and Joel Piroes cheeky back heel for Brenden to score 🤩 thanks gentlemen good podcast as always respect 🤝🫶🙏 marching on together we all love Leeds keep fighting 🦚🇮🇨🤍💛💙
If Farke is not going to use Joffy, can we at least loan him to Plymouth where he would be guaranteed a start ? He could have a scousers love in with Forshaw and Rooney... assuming Wayne is still there by then !
There’s clearly something going on between him and Farke. Prefers Byram to him and doesn’t even give him a few minutes when we are coasting against a team that didn’t get a single shot in. Weird.
Good point , I was wondering about that, perhaps he doesn’t train well? Didn’t we have a defender last season with a poor attitude? Sent back to Spurs….But we’ve bought this one(?)
@@LeoDragon34 think this is jumping to conclusions a bit, it was exactly the same with Gruev last year. Byram is trusted because of his experience and he was hear last season, I'd have liked to see Schmidt but sure he'll get his chance eventually
I finally noticed the pen fiddling thing now - lads, just put them down, it’s mildly annoying. And that’s about as much negativity as I can muster. Other than that, fabulous show as always!
For farke watch this game was won early in the season. No team can hold possession on Leeds even the big boys. Teams that arent going for the league are just going to capitulate to leeds on a 45 game schedule.
The saddest thing about that game was how poor we were, too; it should have been 7 or 8 nil. They were that bad, but it felt lucky that we were 3-0 up and then we didn't really do anything else. Also terribly boring to watch
Game was won in the first half we have 3 games this week second half we just slowed the game down and controlled possession I don’t see how you can moan about that
It's what Farke does, for better or worse. Don Revie did the same for the first 3/4 of his time at Leeds and we don't moan about that. It is forgivable if he gets us up, absolutely unforgivable if he doesn't. He won't be managing us past Christmas 2025 either way.
Nah. Southgate's target was semi-final or better every tournament, and he exceeded it. Farke's target was promotion by playoffs or better last season and he didn't reach it. If he goes up this year, I'll take the comparison.

Im here for the wills probate and convayencing bit
Rooney should stay the whole season so Leeds will get another easy 3pts in the last game

I remember that game, though I wasn't there. I loved standing with my father on the old Gelderd End.

Whittaker was an unused Sub. They were saving their best players for a draw with Pompey on Tuesday.🎉

Finest memory of Rooney was him waddling around his own box as the slightly older Pablo skipped past him like he was an inert sandbag😂
Rooney half time motivational speech should have been I am leaving.
I was at the game and my own personal highlight was when someone shouted, during a lull in the play "oh my god, these are dog sh*t"
Didn’t think you lads would fall for the satire chants and tweets 😂

Joffy was injured yesterday
Wayne Rooney is the living embodiment of Desperate Dan!
It’s too small of a job for Rooney, I strongly believe he is the next Scum manager in waiting…..PLEASE!🤣
Probably the worst away team I've ever seen today. Absolutely no idea what their "style" was
Progressive Football 2 ... by W. Rooney.
When is Schmidt going to play if not during this game?
Save Schmidt for our inevitable new year Injury Crisis.

I rekon Rooney would of been Plymouths best player on pitch if he made it on to the pitch
It might be churlish but I thought we were average for first 30 minutes and was disappointed that we stopped scoring.
Can't wait for for Tuesday and Propaganda show, Expect some serious Salt :)
Meslier gets a 10 today?

The average position of the whole division is twelfth muppet, lol.

They were nearly as bad as ipswich at home last season

You didn't like it? Well put your red shirt back on and don't bother coming back

Farke is the German Southgate
