I have 28 pieces of clothing. Only because ive lost a crap ton of weight and i got rid of everything. Im not buying anything in my current size because i want to lose 25 lbs more. My gosh its hard! Im enjoying watching your no buy! 🎉
This sounds amazing actually. While I'm grateful for the things I have, I also have to wonder what it would be like to start from a blank canvas and bring things in very very carefully, instead of possibly slowly decluttering down to what feels like the "right" number of pieces!!! And thank you, happy you are here! Keep it up with your updates too!
RIGHT? haha. Actually even if they aren't forgotten, going through the mountain is a bit daunting and makes the idea of adding to the pile off-putting...
I’m much older than you,so been through all this,so please don’t take this as judging, but your main problem seems to be organization and then keeping up with keeping things tidy. I used to pile clothes on the side of my bath, and one of the best habits I learned is to immediately ,at the end of the day, hang up what goes back in the closet, dirties in the laundry basket and shoes put up. Takes only minutes and feels good. Great job on your mammoth undertaking!
Thank you for the kind way you phrased your comment, I appreciate it and no judgement taken! I would agree that my organization and end-of-day habits are lacking as far as keeping things "in their places" - let's see if this bit of rearranging can help me stay the course 🙂 I also definitely need to work on other home areas with this too...
I'm battling a shopping addiction (and food tbh)... looked at what you had and then thought "wow thats not even bad...."... so i think my situation is REALLY bad lol. Really glad I found your channel and its been really motivating in my own healing journey. Thank you for sharing these vulnerable and difficult moments.
The fact that you have an awareness that your way of thinking currently perhaps means you want to change, is great! And super important! I was just thinking about this, how so many comments on the "overconsumption" or "restock" videos are along the lines of "I want this"...and this to me suggests that some people don't see these things as an issue. I'm going to be exploring this idea on video soon 😅 but just know that you are taking the steps in the direction you want to go! 👏
So here for a responsible decluttering video! You almost definitely have a local buy nothing or “everything is free” group, which is a great option for decluttering to people who want and will use your stuff :)
I can't believe I forgot about that, you are right and that's definitely a great option too! I have a little chat on decluttering coming out tomorrow since I need more time to edit the rest of the wardrobe try-on and this comment was helpful in laying out better options for making sure items get a new home - thank you!
The top at 36:01 is soo pretty!!! I also like the jacket at 37:44 and the dress at 43:35 😊 it's super interesting to see other people's closets, how they are organized etc. Declutering seems a bit overwhelming to me, especially when there are piles of stuff that you then have to go through. I think that I would just end up living with the piles of clothes in my room 😂
Aw thank you! I also like to peep into other people's closets...and funnily enough I think having a self-imposed "video deadline" for this project made me clean up the clothes quicker than I otherwise might have so I definitely can relate to that sentiment
Hi 👋 I’ve just found you so I’m watching all the videos you’ve made this year. I’m doing a “financial year” replacements only no buy. I too am decluttering and selling things I don’t need or use. A lot of clothes and shoes considering I work from home 3 days a week and only have two days in the office. My employer has also changed our dress code so I no longer wear suits and heels and can now wear jeans and a nice top. So my work and casual clothes are now one and the same. It certainly makes life easier but the hard part will be not getting the “high” of buying and receiving something new.
Ooh I'm curious, is the "new dress code" more in line with what you feel is YOUR personal style, or did you actually like wearing the suits and heels? I tend to find that my personal style is a touch more formal than my work dress code (when it's not concert black), so I'm often "casualizing" my blazers and trousers with a graphic tshirt or sneakers to find my happy medium.
It's a unique blazer for sure! Thank you! 🥰 I will warn that concert black is an easier area to be chic for me than the rest of my wardrobe, so if you see the video later today there may be some less stylish moments haha
I’m a shoe queen too. And considering how expensive shoes are now I’d keep the ones you wear and like… I currently have about 38 between shoes, sandals, sneakers, high heels, casual flats, boots… And I have not bought any shoes except for a pair of sneakers that needed to be replaced in about, three years… I think I used to have about 100 pair of shoes lol and handbags and purse 👛 10. Including totes and evening bags.
I think I agree - I'm only letting go of a couple of pairs of heels because I don't wear them at all and am not willing to risk developing back or feet problems by trying to wear them more. But I will keep and wear the rest of what I have until they wear out! And I have quite a few purses, again more than I need for sure but likewise I'm not in a rush to let go of those because I would rather use what I already have and focus on not adding anything new as a first step. I'm also going to display my "purse collection" more artistically so I can enjoy them more - will probably post this project over the summer! 👜
I'm still here ❤ loved the cowboy boots! Worth keeping them. Hanging "not so dirty clothes" on a mobile clothing rack has worked wonders for me. I keep it with a few pieces hanging no longer than a week. The rack I got was from IKEA. You have great unique clothing! I don't like visual clutter, so using this method wouldnt work for me, I have the feeling u can get easily stressed and being under the risk of decluttering something u really want to keep. Keep the decluttering coming!
That might be a good idea! I'm going to start with having everything at least in the closet (as far as "not so dirty clothes") so at least I'm not seeing the pile in my bedroom 😅 Decluttering still in progress! The "overall pass" is done but the slower work of evaluating things as I wear them will continue...at least until I reach a number of items I feel better about.
I love the reused boxes in your drawers! I do that too😁😁 I love that skinny shelf in the closet (that you want to keep empty) -I would probably display my shoes since I get a lot of joy seeing them on display like art. (Purses too-😆 I might be odd in that!😆)
Alas I did not end up with any empty shelves but I totally agree on displaying shoes and purses. My shoes are so eclectic that it's hard to display them as a cohesive collection but I do have a purse display project in the works...I'll probably do a video on it over summer 🤭
I just did this with all of my clothes and it took forever and now I'm onto my bathroom and a bunch of other things. I was shocked the amount of things I ended up donating.
Yes! That's kind of what I did and am still doing too...slowly getting through each little "collection" and resolving never to accumulate so much again 🫡
Haha thanks, I'm hoping my shoe numbers will go down over the years as I wear them out and don't repurchase so many though! Aiming to become more particular in my own purchases after this no buy 😅
Thanks for this suggestion! Organizers would probably make it more aesthetically appealing too. I do think for now at least, I want to keep the limitations on the amount of shoes I can keep (and stick to my no buy!) but I will definitely revisit this idea in the future and perhaps even open up some of those shelves for something else if I end up organizing them better!
This was so fun! I’m sure it was a lot of work for you though lol I recently did the same thing with everything in my closet, random junk drawers, and bathroom cabinets. I still need to clean through some kitchen stuff but for the most part the majority of my space has been decluttered. I’m hoping it’s the last one I have to do for awhile
Feels good when things have been curated and decluttered! I still have to do pretty much all of my other spaces but hoping to get to it this summer 😄 probably will share a lot of it on here too!
A couple of suggestions you might find helpful: if you alternate the shoe position, you will fit more, sometimes a whole extra pair on a shelf! Also, you have a lot of air space with some of those cubbies, maybe buy plastic shoe boxes and put less worn pairs underneath more worn? The reason I know this is I (shamefully), had over 100 pairs at one point! Even though not worn, some of them disintegrated in storage! Use your stuff ladies!! I had to get rid of most of them when we moved overseas. Still have too many....
I adore your content. It's GREAT. Also you have that great hair ideal model look. Your mom's black asymmetrical 3/4 sleeve top looks great on you. Good job mom.
I got rid of the socks I didn't wear as much. I realized there was a reason I never reached for them, so finally let them go. It was harder than it should've been! Why don't you just rehang the clothes that you'll wear again? If they're clean enough to go on your body, why wouldn't they be clean enough for your closet? 😉
Right? I'm so reluctant to get rid of socks because it feels like they're the clothing item that wear out the fastest... And well regarding clothes that I'll re-wear... my "dirty little secret" is that perhaps they're not "clean enough..." For home-wear that doesn't get seen by others, I'll sometimes wear something that might have gotten a small spill but hasn't been worn enough to be sweaty or whatnot. I don't like to wash things after every little spill (since I feel like it shortens the life of the garment) but since I have small children it seems like minor spills happen every hour 😅 what is one to do? haha
That top shelf is actually perfect for heels, as you showed. I don’t think it would look cluttered to have heels up there, and then your more practical shoes would be better spaced out where you have them.
I agree it is perfect with the sloped ceiling too, it kind of follows the shape of heeled shoes - however I also realized that I don't want to keep shoes I literally NEVER wear. I might end up moving the heels that I put on the bottom shelf to the top if I get to the point where I could free up the bottom shelf, maybe for home sweatshirts or something like that...it's going to be a long process! haha
Love your content. I just have to mention not sure if anyone has before but you remind me of Lily from Modern Family. You're like the grownup version of her.
Could you belt the sweater dress? Might give it a bit more shape. I love your taste! You have some great pieces. For the sleeveless dresses, it doesnt fit your no buy commitment but could you try and mesh layering top UNDERNEATH the dress?
I probably can belt the sweater dress, might try that next time I wear it! And the mesh top underneath is a good idea too, I think I'll wait until next year since I don't "need" to have the option to wear them right now - but you're right that it might be a good option to get more wear out of them in the future. Thank you!
I think the silk cigarette style pants can go--a high waist, wide leg, pleated style is much more flattering for a supermodel figure, IMHO. They are like a diminutive, gamine, (like Audrey Hepburn) pant and you can wear much more dramatic, powerful styles.
Thank you for this explanation, makes a lot of sense why I felt they were a bit "off" for me! Not sure about "supermodel figure" but I'm flattered nonetheless 😄
It is very obvious that although a shopper, you chose your items with great care. It is going to be difficult ( if not downright impossible?) to let go of such lovely pieces? Please be at least understanding of your attachment to beauty!
Haha yes this is absolutely true. While I want to experience the benefits of owning less I won't be parting with things I still do love and wear! So it'll be playing the long game for sure
If you put your shoes together with the heels to the toe almost like the way they come in the shoebox you’ll have more room. I hope I’m explaining it correctly.
Hehe I'm SO glad you think so! I was unsure that many would actually know or recognize the piece...almost used Beethoven's 5th but it seemed a little dark 🤭
Girl, I know you gave us the historic reasons you have had shopping issues but i think we just found the current issue. Your closet needs to be merchandised better! I couldn't see anything specific to wear when you first showed it to us. Everything was in piles or randomly hung. You gotta make that space look like a boutique so it's fun to shop! You might need to buy an organization product for your shoes.
Haha I might need to work on this - because although I definitely have re-arranged things, I don't think I've reached "boutique" status yet! But I have a feeling you're right...thanks for the feedback!!
Hey, you said that your idea is to storage beach wear in the same drawer you decided to put your pajamas, but one thing I've learned from professional organizers is that you shouldn't storage stuff you rarely use in prime, hands-on spots. They recommed to store beach wear, for instance, in boxes in the upper area of the closet because you reach out for it less often :)
I’ve watched A LOT of decluttering content, and I have to say this shoe parade you did had me rolling. Super cute and entertaining and a genius way to make decluttering fun! Ha!
You are not the kind of person we normally get to know on RUclips. You are classy and distinguished. It feels awesome in the real sense of that word to get to know you when people of your sort are usually very private! This channel is sort of blowing my mind! I feel both honored and sort of voyeuristic!
( for instance I know Nancy Allen the principal harpist for the new York Philharmonic (went to high school with her cousin) but have NEVER been to her house! )
Thank you for your kind words, and for being here! You are right actually, in that I'm a little mortified to think of anyone I know "in real life" stumbling across this window into my thoughts and personal life, which normally I WOULD keep rather private! However, I decided that it might actually help my goal and accountability to open things up and not worry about that. And if I'm being true to me and try to live in line with my current values, what's the worst judgement anyone can make, after all?
Also, wow! Dare I tell you I've sent in a pre-screen recording for NY Phil before, and not been accepted to audition? That was years ago so I might have a better chance now, but I also no longer wish to live in New York City, so there we are.
Love watching closet clean outs. I know this was a huge task to take on, so thank you for sharing it with us. I often start, feel overwhelmed and eventually give up and just end up living with piles everywhere. 😂
Every Violinist I have encountered on stage wore a flowy floor length dress I love when there is some sparkle on the outfit , it really shines with the light and creates a beautiful dreamy look I loved this video!!! ❤❤❤
Haha yes we do like our dresses! But since it became my "regular job" I also have a lot of pants for more "casual" shows (family concerts, pop shows, etc.). Thank you!
I’ve been excited for this video! I have desperately wanted to reorganize my closet and drawers for the summer but I haven’t been able to, so I am living through you. (I love organization, what can I say.)
I hope you get to do yours soon too! I'm actually not the most organized person and kind of tend to stay away from the "aesthetic solutions" (additional dividers, added shelves, individual cubbies, etc)...but I did at least make a small improvement...and at the very least things are rearranged! haha
I make myself wear the stuff Im nit sure about & very quickly I'll realise if I should keep or not! Too tight/loose, not comfortable, not me, doesn't go eith anything else I have...x
I just have to pause the video and comment on the shoe demo bit, brilliant! The music, the little foot taps and moves, everything about it was such a great way to show your shoe collection 😄
Just a suggestion but if you don't use your swimwear often, you could keep the box closed and throw your pajamas you're currently wearing on top of it for the day. Love the video and your editing!
Ooh now this I can try right now - I'm going to do that! Now to see if I can get into the habit of putting the current pajamas there... it'll make things look a lot neater! Thank you!
My own wardrobe: the only things i have in drawers: D1 undies and bras D2: socks. Theya re all folded and lined up like soldiers so losts of space. Even my pajamas are hanging as well and leeggings and tshirts. You seem to have of hanging space taht can be categorize. Even if i wear something once i still hang it back up. I was not a fan of the fendi pants though. Everhing else was gorgeous. The winter dress just needs a belt. And don't forget about the cobler to fix shoes and replace the taps. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🤗😋😻💖💖💖💖💖😘😘 I do beauty content, but hoping to make a new RUclips friend. 😊
Eventually I'll have to find a cobbler in my area, yes! And perhaps I should consider hanging more of my clothes, it's a good idea. Thanks for stopping by! 😊
i need to declutter to prepare for moving and there's such an element of frustration and shame to seeing how many things have accumulated even tho i thought i was being conscious about it. this video is very inspiring to have in the background while i do so, so thank you for posting!
Such a niche question but where is your black shrug from? I’m having a hard time finding lightweight (non-sweater) ones that don’t have that odd yoke across the front lately. PS I love the sentiment of not decluttering rashly- I have been too zealous in the past and had to re-buy items (maybe they were for a type of performance I wasn’t doing for awhile, or a type of activity I wasn’t doing and then re-started, or a type of weather I wasn’t experiencing for a but then started having to travel to that weather for work, etc). I think if you can keep things without being overwhelmed by the volume in your space, nothing wrong with hanging on to the “not sure” stuff- especially if you have a pretty consistent personal style which it seems like you do.
Haha well unfortunately I think it's from the 90s - just checked the tag and the brand is "Esprit" - maybe you could check online secondhand? But yes this is going to be a very very slow process...I want to have less clothing but I want to make sure I do it in a way I don't regret later!
Thanks for the tip! I might end up moving the shoes to my longer shelves that aren't as tall - the first step for me is to live with these changes, possibly let go of a few more things now that I can see everything, and then re-evaluate, so I'm probably going to wait before buying any organizational tools. 😊
Black looks great on you! I wonder if a super limited wardrobe palette would be useful to you. Maybe limit your outfits to black, white/cream, taupe/gray, red, and maybe chocolate brown, for a month, and see what happens.
Thank you for the color suggestions! I've thought about this many times actually and experimented with various "feature colors"...it's hard for me to land on the "right" palette. I know I like a bright cobalt blue, as well as the whites and grays, and a bit of red - because I wear black to work, I actually don't wear much of it in everyday life since it makes me feel like I'm about to play a concert 😄 In my mind I can see that my style would feel more curated if I pared down in color...But I think I have "favorite colors" (like lavender, or orange) that aren't necessarily "best to wear" colors... and separating the two is sometimes tricky. Perhaps I will give it a try though, like you said maybe it'll be useful!
Try doing a color consultation so that you can find out what colors look good on you, it could be really helpful and help you weed out what might not be as flattering.😊
@@mariakorte794 I keep seeing color consults coming up these days - I feel like I'm not quite ready for that level of curation yet (want to do a surface-level declutter first and live with that for awhile) but it is an exciting idea for down the road! Thank you! I'll also have to be careful about being triggered to buy new pieces in my supposed "best colors" so I want to wait for that reason too 😅
Hi, I'm 74. I never had many clothes and since 2015 I've tried to be a minimalist. It will take time to change habits. Good for you for trying. Tina, Al's wife
Thank you - yes I feel that it WILL take time! But also, I hope that by doing it all slowly the new habits will stick. I'm always open to hearing any advice, or things you've discovered on your own minimalist journey! 😊
Yeah this is very sound advice, I'll consider this for sure! Making changes very slowly this year, so I'm going to give it some time to know if I DO really want to keep shoes there or not!
It really doesn't make sense to put your swimsuits with pajamas, and I think sorting things like this might be part of the issue as to why your clothes are so messy. I have mine in a shoe box on the top shelf of my closet. Tucked away and not using valuable space since I only pull them out a couple times a year
It may be! Now that you mention it I don't think I have a great sense of intuitive order, since my mind has a way of managing without good systems. (I'm one of those people who somehow knows where every sheet of paper is on an incredibly messy desk). Perhaps I need to try and learn about this!
This video was a lot of fun! I just wanted to mention that if you want to get more insights on your style and what you actually wear, you can try closet apps. I have A Closet on my phone, and I’ve been tracking what I wear for almost 6 months. The app is free if you have less than 100 items, and it gives you a pretty good idea of how often you actually wear your clothes. You can also add purchase info (price of an item) to show how much you already spent on your clothes. And I also love having my virtual closet on my phone, so in case I really want to buy another item, I can check whether I already have something similar. Highly recommend any closet app, I feel like it really helps to make better decisions about adding anything new to your closet.
I actually use two closet apps! Smart Closet (which also lets you input price and shows you a wardrobe total - yikes!) and now Indyx for "capsule" experiments! Thanks for sharing! It does help!
When I declutter socks, I get rid of the ones I know I'll never wear. Then I do keep some of the 'maybes' for when my socks wear out. But you actually have to declutter the worn out ones too! That's always hard for me.
Agreed! but what I've also realized is that at least I will hopefully be able to pass anything I let go of to someone else. Since I stopped shopping fast fashion and started focusing on quality, hopefully someone else will get to use anything I no longer need!
Haha well, for practical reasons really. The closet space in our house is massive and we also don't have "bookshelves" elsewhere, so instead of buying or installing bookshelves I've decided to keep books on one of the "excess space" closet shelves!
Thanks for the feedback and sorry you found it annoying. In my journey of buying less stuff this year, I've included brands just as a reference or identifier, not with the intention of promotion. And branding is something I'm kind of exploring this year as it can motivate people to buy stuff, even if we aren't trying to chase or glorify a specific brand. If I recall correctly I mentioned both positive and negative things about brands in this video (mistakes I made with pajamas, etc). But I'd be curious to know what specifically bothered you about it if you're willing to share? I always try to be open to new perspectives!

Nothing kills my desire to shop more than decluttering a mountain of long forgotten clothes 😂
RIGHT? haha. Actually even if they aren't forgotten, going through the mountain is a bit daunting and makes the idea of adding to the pile off-putting...
So true.
The shoe montage!!!!🔥🔥🔥

You are absolutely delightful.❤😊
Aw thanks so much 😊
I know it’s a no buy year but those shelves where you put your shoes are so tall that it is a waste, it’s calling for some shoe organizers.
Thanks for this suggestion! Organizers would probably make it more aesthetically appealing too.
Aw thanks so much! And yes moms somehow do know best, don't they?
You can fit in more shoes on a shelf, when you place the pairs next to another but looking in different directions, if you know what I mean😅
Thank you!
And well regarding clothes that I'll re-wear... my "dirty little secret" is that perhaps they're not "clean enough..."
For home-wear that doesn't get seen by others, I'll sometimes wear something that might have gotten a small spill but hasn't been worn enough to be sweaty or whatnot.
I might end up moving the heels that I put on the bottom shelf to the top if I get to the point where I could free up the bottom shelf, maybe for home sweatshirts or something like that...it's going to be a long process! haha
Well done & interesting 🎉
Thank you! 🤗
Love your content. I just have to mention not sure if anyone has before but you remind me of Lily from Modern Family. You're like the grownup version of her.
Haha love this!
💛
You look amazing in strappy heels and ankle straps! Im not into the silk pants...i think the silhouette is off 😊
Thank you!
❤🌈
It is very obvious that although a shopper, you chose your items with great care. It is going to be difficult ( if not downright impossible?) to let go of such lovely pieces? Please be at least understanding of your attachment to beauty!
Haha yes this is absolutely true. While I want to experience the benefits of owning less I won't be parting with things I still do love and wear! So it'll be playing the long game for sure
If you put your shoes together with the heels to the toe almost like the way they come in the shoebox you’ll have more room. I hope I’m explaining it correctly.
I understand! I might try this out, thanks!
❤
Watching a closet declutter while listening the 9th symphony is absolutely great !
Yes! This is what I mean!!!
Hehe I'm SO glad you think so! I was unsure that many would actually know or recognize the piece...almost used Beethoven's 5th but it seemed a little dark 🤭
Yes, love the music!
I also love the music!! Different from music most people use and I appreciate it
@@rayeof_light just sharing what I know best 😊
Girl, I know you gave us the historic reasons you have had shopping issues but i think we just found the current issue. Your closet needs to be merchandised better! I couldn't see anything specific to wear when you first showed it to us. Everything was in piles or randomly hung. You gotta make that space look like a boutique so it's fun to shop! You might need to buy an organization product for your shoes.
Haha I might need to work on this - because although I definitely have re-arranged things, I don't think I've reached "boutique" status yet! But I have a feeling you're right...thanks for the feedback!!
Yes! Shop your own closet!🤗
Hmm this is very logical advice. I do like having the pajama drawer limited by dividing it, but perhaps something else should go there...thank you!
I’ve watched A LOT of decluttering content, and I have to say this shoe parade you did had me rolling. Super cute and entertaining and a genius way to make decluttering fun! Ha!
Haha thank you so much!
Revisiting: the shoe parade is one of my favor things on RUclips EVER! So very cute! 👠👡👢👟👞
Also I really enjoyed the music!!!!! Amazing! It adds a nice touch and character to your video!
Yay! So happy people can still enjoy the classics 😄
I grew up in NYC ( Greenwich Village!) but now live in small town Arizona and LOVE it!
Love watching closet clean outs. I know this was a huge task to take on, so thank you for sharing it with us. I often start, feel overwhelmed and eventually give up and just end up living with piles everywhere. 😂
Haha it was overwhelming FOR SURE and I have a lot of incentive to not add new stuff now 😅
Every Violinist I have encountered on stage wore a flowy floor length dress
I love when there is some sparkle on the outfit , it really shines with the light and creates a beautiful dreamy look
I loved this video!!! ❤❤❤
Haha yes we do like our dresses! But since it became my "regular job" I also have a lot of pants for more "casual" shows (family concerts, pop shows, etc.).
Thank you!
I'm going through your channel while I knit. But I had to stop, put down the knitting, and watch the entire shoe parade. 😂
👢👠🩰👟👡😅
Casually has the best shoe collection I have ever seen!
aw thank you!
I’ve been excited for this video! I have desperately wanted to reorganize my closet and drawers for the summer but I haven’t been able to, so I am living through you. (I love organization, what can I say.)
I hope you get to do yours soon too! I'm actually not the most organized person and kind of tend to stay away from the "aesthetic solutions" (additional dividers, added shelves, individual cubbies, etc)...but I did at least make a small improvement...and at the very least things are rearranged! haha
Great video! Personally I think wide leg trousers suits you better than the slim/skinny trousers, u look great in them!
Thank you, I think I agree. I might let go of the slimmer ones if I don't wear them this summer!
Haha thank you!
I have over 100 pairs of shoes 🫤 A lot are vintage. If you hadn't guessed by the number of shoes, this was my addiction...I'm good now though.
Greatest declutterring video ever!
Classy and somehow personal?
Aw thank you so much!
I loved this video! And still here! Your videos have been my favorites since I found your channel. Flat surfaces, yes!
Thank you so much!
Great work!
Thank you!!
i need to declutter to prepare for moving and there's such an element of frustration and shame to seeing how many things have accumulated even tho i thought i was being conscious about it. this video is very inspiring to have in the background while i do so, so thank you for posting!
You can do it! 💪
Love the last top, but the silk pants are meh?
Agreed!
Get I riser to use up space above sneakers and flats
Thanks for the tip! I might end up moving the shoes to my longer shelves that aren't as tall - the first step for me is to live with these changes, possibly let go of a few more things now that I can see everything, and then re-evaluate, so I'm probably going to wait before buying any organizational tools. 😊
Black looks great on you! I wonder if a super limited wardrobe palette would be useful to you. Maybe limit your outfits to black, white/cream, taupe/gray, red, and maybe chocolate brown, for a month, and see what happens.
But not if you have to buy NEW clothes to do that!
haha indeed!!!
Thank you for the color suggestions! I've thought about this many times actually and experimented with various "feature colors"...it's hard for me to land on the "right" palette. I know I like a bright cobalt blue, as well as the whites and grays, and a bit of red - because I wear black to work, I actually don't wear much of it in everyday life since it makes me feel like I'm about to play a concert 😄
In my mind I can see that my style would feel more curated if I pared down in color...But I think I have "favorite colors" (like lavender, or orange) that aren't necessarily "best to wear" colors... and separating the two is sometimes tricky.
Thank you!
I'll also have to be careful about being triggered to buy new pieces in my supposed "best colors" so I want to wait for that reason too 😅
the shoe segment was really cool with the classical music
Thank you!
Boy you had fun with the shoes!
Indeed!! 😆
Loved the video - you are doing so well 👏🏻
Aw thank you!
Why not get yourself a shelf to put into your shoe cubby if you really want to keep your shoes that way you will have used the height of the cubby
The black Fendi pants bunch-up @ your knees. Not good looking
I agree! I think I'll be letting go of them, thanks for the input!
You have great shoes but you do have a lot.
yes! hopefully will be able to let go of a few and then not repurchase so many as they wear out over the years.
When I declutter socks, I get rid of the ones I know I'll never wear. Then I do keep some of the 'maybes' for when my socks wear out. But you actually have to declutter the worn out ones too! That's always hard for me.
Yes 100%, I actually haven't gotten rid of any socks yet 😶🌫️
You have beautiful quality pieces, so I have no idea how you can make gtgese decisions!
Agreed! but what I've also realized is that at least I will hopefully be able to pass anything I let go of to someone else. Since I stopped shopping fast fashion and started focusing on quality, hopefully someone else will get to use anything I no longer need!
new to your channel. you have beautiful clothing.
Thank you! And a warm welcome to you 🙂
Luv your music. Love your content. Also declutering at my home.
Thank you! And all the best in your decluttering mission as well 🫡
🌸
Good luck with the decluttering! It’s a daunting task
@@BeachieDogMom thank you!!
You need to minimize your clothing
Sure do! Working on doing that slowly this year 😊
Why are books in the closet
Haha well, for practical reasons really. The closet space in our house is massive and we also don't have "bookshelves" elsewhere, so instead of buying or installing bookshelves I've decided to keep books on one of the "excess space" closet shelves!
A blazer really suits you!
Thank you!
Really love the music!❤
Thank you, me too hehe
I watched the lot
Thank you for hanging out with me! 🤗
Still here at the end! ❤
Amazing! 😆 Thanks for hanging out with me!
The name dropping for the brands is super annoying. Next!
