This game is the first game I've show of myself playing GLC! I made a couple mistakes with this fire deck but this game was a blast to play. Hope you all enjoy! This was part of what I call the "Professor Challenge" where players that are behind our league leader in badges can challenge me for a chance to help catch back up.
When the counter energy is turned off it's just a colorless energy and the aurora can't be both fire and water at the same time right? Or is that not correct
That's not quite right! Aurora energy (and other "rainbow" energy) don't switch between the type of energy they provide. They simultaneously provide all types of energy. It's the same reason you can attach one basic fighting energy to Okidogi + an Aurora energy to be able to both meet the attack requirement and meet the darkness energy requirement for its ability. This ruling from the compendium I think does a decent job of explaining how these types of energy work: compendium.pokegym.net/ruling/1776/ Hope that helps!
