This show being canceled and the fact none of these artists got the credit not the money they deserved is one of the tragedies of life. This is the bes sit com in history.
When i was a kid, we weren't allowed to watch. While in NY, yrs later, found complete set on beta, still have it. For all the neg that NAACP claimed, this show had blacks as lawyers, teachers, doctors, etc
The entire cast were great actors. I'd rather watch this than the garbage TV series or the movies today. Yhis was a great show I used to watch when I was 12 or 13. I can appreciate the humor much more now. I don't watch anything from the last 20 years or so because it's so foul. Thank you for bringing this classic back
I'm 72 and I watched this faithfully and laughed at this show like no other ! The Life of Riley was a white version that I watched too, it was hilarious, but this was my favorite. Even as a kid until today I still laugh harder than ever. Thanks so much REELBLACK !
When I was a little boy my dad watched Amos and Andy laughing so hard he would go into tears. My entire family would watch laugh and loved all of the characters. Until today it is a show in a place in time much ahead of itself. Most people say it was the funniest sitcom of all time. Bill Cosby bought up the syndication and rights not to be aired ever again he claimed it portrayed African Americans in a negative light. I absolutely love the Amos and Andy Show until today like most people do. Leonard Baldari
Thre were funny characters that were great actors. But there were judges, lawyers, policemen who were black and very professional. Just like any society. Growing up we just thought they were great actors because they made you believe they really were the characters they played.
Pure comedy gold!! I don't see one bit of difference between this show and the Honeymooners. Same style comedy, outlandish. I like the fact the White G man took a back seat to the Black G man who got everything settled and straightened out. It also reminds me of Red Fox and the Jeffersons, more comedy greatness!
By the time A & A got to television, it had become a slapstick-flavored sitcom revolving around the interaction of Andy and Kingfish, a concept which was very different from the more nuanced approach when it first started on radio. The TV version is about as subtle as "The Three Stooges", but the comic expertise of these fine performers cannot be denied.
Until cancel culture makes these videos illegal we need to watch as many as we can of these. We need to remember a better time when we were not exposed to constant propaganda on every sit com and other TV show and even commercial...
You mean the: Globalist-ill-luminatti-Mine-Control-Social-Engineers... 'We, the (real) People' need to constantly be exposing them CONTROL FREAKS... With their: C.I.A., created "MOCKINGBIRD MEDIA..."
This was before my time as a TV viewer. Curious as to whether the show was aired by ABC, CBS or NBC during its heyday. Saw an African American Theater Group put on a tribute to this show several years ago. Very funny stuff.
I like the characters do not PImp or do Drugs(as so many movies and TV series today show Blacks) Amos and Andy characters are comic ,but good clean fun. The other Blacks are depicted as gentlmanly, orderly and dignified citizens..Not sure why this classic Comedy series was ever pulled..

NO hace falta ninguna traducción al anglosajón porque el RUSO es completamente válido para hacerse entender , en cambio el anglosajón no tiene nada de la gracia necesaria para hacer traducciones 😮
I laughed with them because I knew they were putting on, and that took talent. The NAACP were the racist not the show. Funny is funny and it does not have any racism or color. Laughter is medicine, Solomon the wisest man that ever lived said
I overlooked it, and i love the show, but did anyone notice it didnt snow when they opened the freezer, and you couldn't see their breath,, plus with your face exposed, you would get frost bite, 🙂 i worked in grocery warehouse freezer for a few months, at 40 below 0,🙂
This was way better than The Honeymooners. Everybody in this show had talent. Jackie Gleason was hard to take. Art Carney was the best, but in this show every member had talent
I can still remember my dad laughing so hard watching this show, his favorite character was Kingfish. My whole family loved this show.
My dad was the same way 😂

My dad was born in 1935 and he loved this show
Kingfish was always plotting and planning truly hilarious!
This is really funny!!!

BLESSED DAY STAY SAFE
Calhoun’s speech about Kingfish’s tenure in the lodge reminds me of a few PM’s I’ve known. Lol
So funny ! I loved this episode and the series. Great comedy !
Not seen this before, had a good laugh. I like old school comedy.

the a&a gang was each one BETTER than cosby.

Good clean comedy. This is quality family entertainment. It is far superior to newer productions on television in 2024😊
"This ain't a Compo clock. It's made by somebody else. A fella named Al Timiter".
I've got to get to bed- it's already 10 minutes to 700 feet!
@@MrWolfTickets And the funny thing is they knew how to read the damned thing!
Really good pun 😅
Love it.❤
Best sitcom ever!!
My favorite all time show.
They have some weird stories on Amos & Andy.
Sometimes I find myself talking just like Amos & Andy... lol
Haha 😂
Me too!
I don’t know what those boys would do without Amos.
When you watch this, it makes the new stuff look like crap. This is my favorite you gotta love wholesome comedy!!

Yeah I agree. Cancel culture sucks so much

This has to be the GOAT sitcom

The was originally produced and aired on the CBS-TV network in the 1950s. It then went into syndication for some years afterwards.
Infernal gratitude....but a broken clock is right 2 times a day
WHERE THE HELL ARE THE CLOSING CREDITS?
I watched this when I was ten years old.😅
I've known Kingfish and Andy, Calhoun and Amos, Sapphire and Momma longer than any friend or family member still around today.

what a great story!

Didn't seem like the Kingfisher plugged in the clock at the end. Why would an alarm clock need to be plugged in anyway? Otherwise, a good episode.
helloo those electric needed no winding
and did not tictoc all night
and did not need a spring
like used in the prop ❤😂

Precursor to Three’s Company
Awwwww! Great comedy before all this racist stuff! Love it! 😃
The NAACP had the show banned. You didn't laugh with them, you laughed at them. lol.
This was way better than The Honeymooners. Everybody in this show had talent. Jackie Gleason was hard to take. Art Carney was the best, but in this show every member had talent
Andy Brown aka Spencer Williams reminds me so much of Windel Pierce 🤣
Always thought same thing. Blues musician Willie Dixon looks like Kingfish.
Black knock-off of Abbott & Costello...and FUNNIER...and they and many other Black comics of their day got PAID!
my dad watched this years ago
30 minutes in a 60 degree below zero room. not enuff money in this country that could make me do that.
