I stared losing my hair in my late 20s early 30s while I was in the Army. I then joined the police where I still needed to have short hair so, I just went the extra mile and shaved the lot. That was 30 years ago and I've never had a problem. Great vid though, never seen one about baldness before.
I am a baldy but the only problem is the hair starts growing from every hole and oriface on the rest of my body ,i have more hair now than i have ever had ,just not on my head, its a nightmare ,have you ever tried shaving your back its fking impossible
In the US, there are not very many pale skinned men with bald heads, so I said screw it and shaved it all off one day. It's really been an amazing 3 years hair free. The confidence isn't so much that I feel better about myself with no hair, the confidence comes from the fact that I just don't give a fuck what anyone thinks of how I look anymore. I like it and that is all that I care about. Now, if you have made the personal choice to go bald (As I had) the best benefit is its the first joke people try to make about you. Make's it easier to just get it over with when someone tries to crack a joke.
When people change their appearance drastically, there’s always a few jokes, but as you are not trying to conceal anything or be something, you’re not you will soon realize that you will be accepted for your new appearance. Well done.
couldn't agree more. I was worried about the inevitable hair loss when I was younger (Mum's dad was bald), but when it happened, I had zero issues. I love the simplicity. As for personal branding, your bike is another form of that! I saw the unmistakable 3-wheeler the other day in the distance and indeed, it was you. 🙂
If tomorrow, someone finally discovered a quick, easy, and very inexpensive cure for baldness that brought all of your natural hair back. Something very simple and easy, not cumbersome. I would bet virtually everyone, and I mean everyone, would elect to get all of their hair back as opposed to being bald. Just a guess on my part. I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time. I started losing my hair about 10 yrs ago. It's been pretty traumatic for me. 😥 If embracing baldness helps someone, that's great. I just don't think it would help me. That being said, still a great video! Positive outlook!! I like that.
I’m absolutely certain that I wouldn’t take it. Like I said in a video there are a few things on my body. I’d like to change but not growing hair. Thanks for your comment. Good one.
Having to shave my head every couple of days does get tedious. Running out of shave gel was also annoying and all I could find in Pattaya was foam, not gel. Rain is also a lot more irritating. It is cooler in hot weather. Also, testosterone does call hair loss, my hair started thinning a lot after I started TRT.
Thanks for the comment. I use just soap and water if you’ve got a shop in the freezer it’s sufficient. I think the gels and foams are just a marketing thing. Thanks for your comment.
Everything you said about this topic is 100% true. When I arrived in Thailand, I went from having long hair to having a completely shaved head. I spent the next 15 years that way. Now, I have long hair again, and when and if I do start balding like the rest of the men in my family, I will go shaved again. Now I'm 50, the receding hairline did not progress as much as I thought it would, but very little at all. Both styles have worked well for me. Mr. Egg, I agree with you though that life as a baldy was easier, cheaper and more carefree.
@@LePubPattaya probably had to do with comradery with my grown sons and wanting to blend in with them rather than sticking out when together in public. Just thought I'd have another go of it as well while I still can.
Sporting the “solar panel.” I’m follicly challenged myself 🍻 Cheers Monsieur Phillipe…by the way, Kwai Chang Caine was the character from the Kung Fu tv series
I was trying on a T-shirt in Top man the early 90’s .in the changing rooms was a 360 degree mirror and i could see the back of my head 😂.that was when I shaved my head for the first time.only trouble was that night my head stuck to the pillow like Velcro 😂.😅.20 years later am getting used to it now.tip top video phil.see you soon 👍🏼
@ I also have been fighting stage 4 cancer and had to go through chemotherapy 2 years ago ( which went really well) now in remission, anyway when I turned up for my first round they looked at me very bizarrely cos I already had no hair , eyebrows, eye lashes etc , I had to explain to them that I had alopecia! I believe this helped get through cancer cos I didn’t have the demoralizing effect of loosing one’s hair and having to deal with that while going through the enormous stress of cancer treatment and in my case very bad diagnosis, So there you have another advantage of being bald , and I mean it ! I was already used to people looking at me thinking I was ill , this had a massive effect on my treatment! I took it with a dose of salts , being depressed can have a big effect on how the treatment works -)
Im not bald, but I'm old, fat, and ugly. I need my hair for now, to decorate the ugly.
Next week, my video, seven reasons to be fat and ugly
One advantage of being bald is you age slowly once bald
I agree I’m actually 102 years old!
Great video Phil! My advice from a fellow slap head; if you’re considering shaving it all, just do it! It’s not that scary
Thanks for the tip!
As a fellow bald man, this is the greatest video ever! Also, I love that I never have to pay for haircuts and that’s a lot of money saved these days.
Well, I’m glad I created the greatest video ever. Not many people agree with you! Thanks again.
Well said from a fellow mr egg, I will pop in and see soon when I’m in Pattaya
Thank you, Mark. Look forward to that.
Totally agree with you Phil as a fellow baldy. Great vlog mate
Absolutely

Sounds a lot like my story. I did it about the same time.

That’s so funny. It’s my problem as well.

I always say that bald men are using that new shampoo on the market called... What's The Point. 😂
Indeed
I may have to say goodbye to my Ozzy costume someday and go as Uncle Fester, Mr. Clean, or Kojak.
Who loves you baby?

If I have known, I’ve given you a hoot
I remember the nit nurse and Kojak with his lollipop. Super job Phil great subject.
Thanks BB. Who loves ya baby?
Good video Phil. Almost makes me want to be bald. Cheers!
Embrace the skin.

@LePubPattaya your outlook on that topic is perfect, because the cure that I spoke of doesn't exist.
Unfortunately for me.
When I started to lose my hair I just shaved it all off & owned it, comb over & wigs just means you're a closet baldie
Exactly

I’m interested to know the reason why you went from long hair to shaved and then back again I’ve never heard that before. Thanks for the comment.

Hi Mr egg if you shave your head do you think it’s a good idea to grow a beard?
Personally not a fan of beards. Make you look old.
I shave my head but have a full head of hair if i wanted to grow it.
You have the choice of both well done
I don't even need a razor , Alopecia Universalis for me and loving it -)
That’s the ultimate. Congratulations.
