The Nav light comes on when you do your cockpit setup letting others know the aircraft is in operation. The beacon light comes on just b efore pushback to let others know you are about to start engines... aside from that, great tutorial.
You may need to configure your fuel and weight load first before you click your v speeds. Otherwise, the FMC doesn’t know the weight load of the plane and thus cannot calculate the speeds.

Can startup without ground handing?
Vhhh Pro Yes you can however, to make it more realistic I usually start with GPU because that is what they do in real-life as well.
