- Background music while fighting versus the Cyborgs on difficulties 9 and above. Originally recorded by Ttnbros. All credits to him and the developers of Helldivers. This version is edited for normalised volume and smoother ending. Now with 30+ minutes of awesomeness.

Best theme of Helldivers. One of the only ones that captures a desperate situation with an ominous atmosphere, rather than a heroic display of power like the Illuminate OSTs.

When the string section busts out the fast notes it sounds epically heroic to me. Though desperate at the same time.
I think playing cyborg is my favorite due to the soundtrack
@@lrdeldric I play Cyborgs almost exclusively, so their team is always in my head basically.
Would be sick to hear this when the Automatons invade Cyberstan and liberate the Cyborgs on helldive difficulty.
3 players down, anti tank weapon is empty, out of grenades and surrounded. This is the music of these moments.

man im a bit disappointed this music isnt the used in HD2, hopefully they add something like it later on in the game's lifespan
Well, this is probably not used considering that this for the cyborgs, not the Automatons. Maybe when the Cyborgs make a return in HD2, then their old OSTs will be referenced.
Automaton theme is x10 times better, Helldivers 1 music sucked tbh

Retaliatory Missions, 15 difficulty setting.
I always wondered why IFVs never spawned. Too late to notice that the developers probably took them out to make more room for those damn Warlords.
This theme is so good, I muted HD2 music just to listen to this while playing
God,I love this game. Like with most games i ain't that good. We keep it offline,I get I miss a lot but i doubt it is worth it to get PlayStation plus just for 1 game. Either way that doesn't stop me and my brother to dive to all those hells and shoot everything. Sadly we still need to get a proper strategy to defeat the bug tanks other than run away till it digs back down. Laborer works but it is not the best solution. Weirdly enough I rarely see Helldivers related content,I hope i am just unlucky cause it is a shame,it is a very nice game.

Its pretty easy if you know what your doing, use the airstrip or m25 rumbler

@@fotismanolopoulos1098 calling down supply pods on the tanks also works, though that should usually be a last resort. I typically use the rumbler or either eats or the recoilless rifle

I've actually only played it on PS4, have no clue what keyboard + mouse experience would look like...
It's mostly the drums on these tracks that make them such bangers
Long one accidentally played instead of the 5 min one and I'm not complaining
Shame the combat tracks don't slap nearly as hard, hopefully we get more with updates.

There you get generic superhero music or generic combat music. Nothing that evokes the feelings of this masterpiece.
Agreed. Just played a full automatons Helldivers 2 misson with this OST.
Running through the mission with autocannon, sniping out the cannon turrets and blasting through outposts… that OST really sets it all.
I disagree. Helldivers 1 music sounds more generic than Helldivers 2. And I have played both extensively.

@@Badmaw101 I'm sorry that you feel that way. HD2's music objectively has more tonal changes, orchestral layering, and more audio cues, making for an objectively more dynamic composition. While HD1's music is one-dimensional and drones on continuously. Both are repetitive, but the identities of each faction's OST is more distinct in HD2 than in HD1 since HD2 literally uses different instruments, while HD1 only uses varying melodies and slight instrumental changes.
