What I've noticed about Lifehouse is that they write from a deep place and they're not afraid to be themselves. I love their songs. Did we all forget that as Christians we also fall, fall in love, get hurt(often), and suffer. We have our victories and our failures. Their songs minister to every part of us. It's a really convincing relationship too, they do look "In love" in their scenes in the show.. Both great actors, both of them made their mark on the show and the fans :)
On the contrary I just watched Smallville 5 days ago... saw all the romantic Clark x Lana moments and realized he was just really "acting" during those scenes... I think Tom Welling is more like a sensitive actor, he can be amazing when he feels the part... and I only saw that in Clark x Lois moments... when he gazes at Lois and kisses her a bit awkwardly (even during those moments he's supposed to be under a spell), you know it's not just "sexy" or "romantic." It's erotic...

Lana n Clark just ... not meant to be together, no matter how lovely they was but... when destiny said No, it will No even on million years 😳 But Lois is not that bad.. she tough n little bit annoyed but still she is the best for Clark and Superman both.. 😊

They shared their vulnerabities with each other in a much more meaningful way which led them to fall in love with each other. Lois loved Clark over the blur/superman. Clark and Lana's relationship was more about infatuation and Lana was way too willing to jump into new relationships. She encouraged Clark's feelings for her even though she was with Witney. When she and Clark were eventually together they weren't happy because they kept secrets from each other which led to mistrust and Lana's thirst for vengeance is what led her to end up permanently irradiated with kryptonite.
The relationship between Lana and Clark is what made the series original and special. The fact that Kristin Kreuk and Tom Welling had a chemistry that brought in close to 10 million viewers a night was proof it was no fluke. Kristin and Tom where on major magazine covers and talk shows for the first 3-4 years. The show was considered a pop-culture earthquake. Of course nothing last forever, the big 3 :Lana,Clark and Lex dynamic, became diluted with other stories,and by year 6 and 7, Kristin,and Michael wanted to move on. Which left Tom to hold the fort with Erica and Allison with whole bunch of new faces. The great thing about Kristin's Lana and Erica's Lois, is that they were fast friends. And in real life the two actresses seem to be keeping in touch years after the series. The writers and producers,knew they had something special,when they had Kristin and Tom in the same scene together. This video just proves how special these two made the series memorable. It is the only series that actually had Lana,Clark and Lex as friends growing up together.
This song always reminds me of the Kiss Under The Oak Tree between Clana. Gah...that scene is so memorable. Both are swallowing each other. NO other pair are as beautiful as Clark & Lana and NO other pair have the strong bond and chemistry like what Clark and Lana do. What Clark and Lana have is so EPIC. I miss them so much. Clana FOREVER!
I miss this tv show too. All the characters had chemistry. The store line was good. All the other WB super hero shows like Arrow, Flash & Supergirl are very empty.
Smallville I miss this I treated all the CD records of this series. for my sons and daughters. This show taught you how to solve problems, sacrifice and to love.
Tom Welling is returning to his Smallville role in the upcoming Crisis storyline in the Arrowverse shows on CW. Crisis is going to have 5 crossover episodes, one each on Arrow, Flash, Supergirl, Legends and Batwoman. I'm not sure how much airtime he'll get, but one of the producers said that we'll catch up with events in the Smallville universe, and that the Arrowverse owes its existence to the success of Smallville, so I expect Tom will get a substantial appearance. :-)
i remember when there was this huge party in the school, and i sang this song infront of all the students, the same night the girl i loved came to me and asked me to dance with her, and we have been together for a year now :)

I love the song AND love Tom Welling and Smallville. Lois Lane brought out the best in his acting... I saw more sides to Clark Kent when he's with Lois than when he's with Lana. Just watched this series for the first time and I was hooked. Now I understand why this was so popular back then.

I agree with you that its appropriate in this context to believe the song is about Smallville. Personally, when I listen to music, I want to know about the artist, because it is their masterpiece. If they don't have anything to say worth saying, then there's no reason to listen to them. I can come up with endless lists of random words without anyone's help. That isn't exciting to me. What's exciting is the passionate hearts of people, artists, Jesus.
